Congratulations on your high school graduation! This is just the beginning of a remarkable adventure, and the skills and friendships you’ve developed during high school will serve as a solid foundation. NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARS RECOGNIZED

The Catholic Schools’ yearly St. Thomas Aquinas Mass honors select middle school students for their leadership and service to the community and high school students for their academic achievements. This year, 58 middle school students and 29 high school students were recognized. These high school academic achievements include the following:

Students were recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Association as Finalists, Semifinalists, Commended and National Achievement.

Students were recognized by the College Board as National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholars.

Academic Excellence

Bishop Louis Reicher Catholic School’s senior class has achieved, once again, a 100% college acceptance rate. Each student has received offers from prestigious institutions including Texas A&M University, Baylor University, St. Louis University, Marquette University, and George Mason University.

Set Apart

Among these accomplished students, Annie Teixeira and Brooks Anderson have committed to advancing both their athletic careers and academic pursuits at the collegiate level.

Excellence

Senior Highlights

Holy Trinity Catholic High School’s (HTCHS) Seniors have been accepted to 30 colleges and universities including the University of Dallas and Notre Dame University and have received combined scholarship offerings of more than $1.8 million.

Leadership

Congratulations to senior Kate Boone who is ranked 47th in the state of Texas out of 200 participating in the Cross Country TwoMile Run competition. In TAPPS, she is ranked #1 in the 3A Division. Kate has also been recognized as the inaugural winner of the Texas Ford Dealers female athlete for the month of September 2023. Congratulations to seniors Nicholas Boor, Isabelle Kuriger, Valerie Schwartz, Therese Mosmeyer, and Zachary Boor; they have been recognized as Academic All-Americans by the National Speech and Debate Association.

Service

The Class of 2024 served in community service projects such as Clergy Appreciation Dinner, big brothers/big sisters at the Charter Oaks Elementary Big Art Day, serving during the HTCHS and Our Lady of the Angels Maternity Shelter Galas and have prepared over 100 lunches for clients of Feed My Sheep, an organization whose mission is to serve the homeless.

Servant Leadership

The total service hours for the 2024 senior class is 7,583, and counting, (before Imago Christi Day of Service) for a combined economic value of $206,112.

Academic Excellence

Out of the 106 graduating seniors, 85% have taken at least one Advanced Placement Exam and they have taken a combined 462 AP Exams over the course of their four-year career and consistently performed above the global average.

College Prep

The class of 2024 has received over 400 college acceptances to date, including 23 acceptances to the University of Texas at Austin and 29 acceptances to Texas A&M University, as well as acceptances to Catholic universities such as Notre Dame, Villanova, Benedictine, Franciscan University of Steubenville, Catholic University of America, and the University of Dallas.

Educating Hearts and Minds

Bringing Hope

This year’s senior class raised funds for Caritas of Austin and Championship Hearts Foundation and supported our Corporate Internship Partner, Dell Children’s Hospital, with a toy drive.

Hearts & Minds

San Juan Diego Catholic High School has once again achieved a 100% college acceptance rate, with our senior class earning admission to Franciscan University, University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, St. Edward’s University and Loyola University Chicago among others. Students garnered more than $2.9 million in scholarship offers. One senior has committed to the United States Navy.

Mind

This class has earned acceptances to renowned institutions like Texas A&M University, Colorado School of Mines, Benedictine College and University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, reflecting their dedication to academic excellence and lifelong learning.

Body

As the senior football players proudly led the Eagles to the State Semifinals, marking a historic season, we also celebrate the individual achievement of Anna Eubanks, who signed to play volleyball at Schreiner University.

Spirit

Four seniors demonstrated their commitment to spiritual leadership by serving on the school’s Ministry Leadership Team, where they led prayer services and retreats for the student body.

Educating the Next Generation

This year, the St. Mary’s seniors are the founding students of the second opening of the high school, so they are the first students to have experienced all four years of the school’s Chesterton Academy network curriculum!

Development of the Whole Person

Once again, this senior class has 100% college acceptance rate, with a special academic honor to Anthony Navarro-Salazar as a College Board National Hispanic Recognition Awardee!

Wisdom and Virtue

Our seven seniors have served thousands of hours in numerous leadership and service positions in our school, parish, and community. These students are active Altar Servers, Lectors, Liturgical Choir members, Youth Ministry student leaders, student mentors, House Prefects, Captains of our sports teams, Club leaders, and National Honor Society members. They attended the National March for Life in Washington D.C. and walked in the footsteps of the saints while on our pilgrimage to Rome last year.

Intellectual Curiosity

We are proud of our 14 scholars who were honored at the St. Thomas Aquinas Leadership Mass in February, including one National Merit Finalist, two National Merit Commended Scholars, ten National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholars and one National African American Recognition Program Scholar.

Lives of Service

As of March 1st, the class of ‘24 has completed 9,239 service hours in our community.

Curage and Personal Integrity

During Winter Term, 34 of our 85 interns were seniors who explored their professional interests by working alongside journalists at Texas Monthly, a dentist, a surgeon, an engineering firm, and a Travis County Commissioner.
