You fed me these false hopes Apologizing Saying things would be different Promising me that you didn’t mean to hurt me Yet you still went out and did it again

I guess it’s on me for thinking otherwise On me for believing that you actually cared It’s on me for eating up your lies

You blamed it on me Said that “I don’t see good.”

But didn’t take a second to think why it was this way To think about your own actions

Now I know it’s not my fault I know I tried my hardest to be there I know I tried everything I could And I’m ok with it now With the lies I fell for once upon a time
