NC College Connect helps seniors who are on track to graduate be admitted into college without the traditional application process.
CFNC College Application Week is when select NC colleges make their applications free.
Eligible students are directly admitted to participating colleges and universities based on their academic record, with no essays, test scores, or recommendation letters required. Students with a 2.8 GPA or higher, who meet program requirements, can receive direct admission offers from participating UNC System universities, independent colleges, and their local community college. Students who do not meet the GPA requirement but are on track to graduate can still be directly admitted to their local North Carolina community college. Admission information is sent to eligible seniors in the fall of their senior year.
During College Application Week, October 19 at 7:30 a.m. through October 25 at 5:00 p.m. , many North Carolina colleges and universities waive their application fees. Students must apply through the CFNC website. Some institutions may also accept fee waivers through ACT, SAT, or NACAC, helping remove financial barriers and increase access to college opportunities for North Carolina students.
