COURSE SELECTIONS FOR 2026-27
If you have already selected classes for next school year and still have questions/concerns, make an appointment with your school counselor ASAP. Remember that in choosing academic courses, you want to select the most challenging classes in which you can be successful. Choose elective courses according to your interests and goals. These classes might direct you toward a college major or guide you in post-secondary employment.
DUALENROLLMENTATFORSYTHTECH
Dual enrollment, also known as career and college promise, allows students to enroll in courses at Forsyth Tech if they meet certain criteria. Students earn both high school and college credit for courses. All public colleges in NC accept the credits, and some private schools do as well. Talk to the Forsyth Tech liaison at your school, or ask your school counselor for more information.

The career center offers both a wide array of advanced placement courses and several career and technical education programs. Students are encouraged to investigate all options according to their interests and future plans.
WHY IS COMMUNITY SERVICE IMPORTANT?
Colleges appreciate students who complete volunteer work as an extracurricular activity because it demonstrates passion, commitment, and that the student cares for their community.
It can be an indicator that a student will be engaged and involved on campus and within the local community where the college is located.
