Crosby Scholars Guide to College Application Types

Standardized Testing policy update For students with a weighted 2.8 GPA and below, test scores will be required for UNC system schools.

Senior Academy options

Residency Determination Service (RDS) Interview RDS can be completed during the summer! Must be completed to submit college applications.

Students should use their College for North Carolina (CFNC) Account credentials to begin the RDS application.

(Only create a new CFNC account if student does not have one.)

At completion of the RDS process, students will receive their unique Residency Classification Number (RCN) that is required for any North Carolina admissions applications.

All students should do this step (to apply to UNC system schools, private schools & community colleges).

Undocumented students still need to complete RDS, even though they will receive out-of-state determination. This is not a citizenship determination, but rather genuinely a determination of where the student resides. If a student has apprehension about completing RDS, have them contact Ashly or Nancy.

Students will need Parental information, so complete RDS together. Don’t guess information!

Task list has conference notes task added Reminder to complete CN with you in a timely manner CN completion factored in scholar's overall Program Progress percentage and number of tasks completed Submission of Conference Notes Task is done by advisor CN form in advisor's portal Same procedure as last year
