Tournament Format
• Five 9-hole matches against each team in your respective flight
• Flights are determined based on combined handicap index
• In case of identical team totals, the team with the lower index player will be in lower flight
• Matches are played off the low handicap player in the match
• You will receive 1 point for winning a hole, 0.5 points for tying a hole and 0 points for a lost hole, each match therefore is worth 9 points total. NO BONUS POINT for winning the match.
• Each flight winner along with any undefeated teams will compete in the shootout following golf on Saturday
• Members handicaps will be based off their 6/01/24 revision and guest handicaps will be their lowest index between 6/01/23-6/01/24
• All play will be from the silver tees using the old rotation for matches (holes 2-10 & 1, 11-18)
• Cash Pool - $350/player mandatory to be paid prior to Round 1 on Friday
• In the event of a tie for flight winner, the tie will be broken by the head-to-head matchup, if that was tied then a 4 person chip off will take place with the closest to the hole winning. Both teams make the Shootout; chip-off for 1st place money purposes.
• For Pari-mutuel wagering, there will be a betting option for Day 1 (Friday), Day 2 (Saturday), and the Overall (Shootout). Will pay out WIN, PLACE, SHOW for each betting option.
• ALL USGA RULES WILL GOVERN PLAY
Shootout Format
Saturday following completion of play, the winner from each flight along with any undefeated teams and the death flight will play a five-hole shootout. The shootout will consist of 5 holes 14-18. Format of play will be true alternate shot and we will eliminate a certain number of teams after each hole. Chip-offs will determine who moves on in the event of any ties. The final two surviving teams will play hole #18 for the Green & Gold Championship. We will eliminate 6 teams on hole 14, 3 teams on hole 15, 1 team on hole 16, and 1 team on hole 17 to get to our final 2 teams playing #18. This is if we have 13 teams in the shootout, this will be adjusted if more teams are added. Each team will receive 40% of their combined team handicap, the low handicap team in the shootout will then become a 0 and everyone will play off them. Max of 12 stroke differential between partners. Handicaps will be adjusted after each hole if necessary.
