MAY
Monday 14th May - Pray for Kate Stace (Schools Ministry worker), the Director of this year’s CrossTrain Camp, as she plans for the camp, taking place in October. Pray that students will be eager to attend this camp and pray for the Schools Ministry Team as they prepare to equip the student leaders with the Bible knowledge and skills required to be solid Christian leaders. Tuesday 15th May - Give thanks for the godly men and women who serve on the Crusader Council. Pray that they will continue to make wise decisions and lead CRU® well. Wednesday 16th May - Please pray for Lakes Grammar Year 8 at Lake Mac this week. Pray that the students will have a great camp experience and that the Summit Camp Director will lead the team well. Thursday 17th May - Praise God for the opportunity Summit has to run a St Peter’s Year 2 Day Camp at their school tomorrow. Please pray that the day will run smoothly and that the Summit Team will work well with the teachers. Friday 18th May - Pray for the teachers and chaplains attending the CRU® Teachers’ Day today. Pray that they will be inspired and equipped to lead and serve their CRU Groups and the wider school community after attending today’s event. Pray that God will speak through the keynote and elective speakers.
Saturday 19th May - Pray for our annual Tax Appeal as it goes out to supporters in May and June. Please pray that CRU® supporters will be generous in providing the funds we need to install Solar Panels at the Galston campsite. This will assist in reducing power bills, so that more funds can be used to tell young people about the Good News of Jesus. Sunday 20th May - The Galston Property and Development Committee will meet this month to finalise the project plan for the next financial year. Pray for wisdom as the committee seeks to meet the needs of the guests and maintain the site to an excellent standard. Monday 21st May - Pray for the campers who come on CRU® Camps from more challenging backgrounds. Pray camp will be a respite for them; a safe space they can enjoy being a kid and hear about a Father who loves them unconditionally. Tuesday 22nd May - Please pray for the running of the St Paul’s Grammar School Year 8/9 camp at Galston this week. Please pray for discussion groups, that the leaders will be filled with God’s wisdom and guidance when facilitating those groups, and that the students will grow in their faith. Wednesday 23rd May - Please pray for Kuyper Christian School Year 7/8 as the Summit Team runs their school camp at Lake Mac this week. Pray that the students will learn and appreciate more about the God who created everything. Thursday 24th May - Please pray for the Divisional Heads as they meet today. Give thanks for the skills and abilities each brings to their role. Pray that they might make wise decisions, depending on the strength and wisdom God provides as they do their work. Friday 25th May - Northcross Christian School Year 3/4 are on camp at Galston this week with the Summit Team. Please pray for the students on camp, that the program will enable them to learn more about themselves and our great God. Saturday 26th May - Pray for VOLT Winter, the pre-season training day for volunteer camp leaders. Pray this will be a great day connecting with leaders as part of the wider CRU® community and that they will be well equipped to run excellent camps this season. Give thanks for Sam Chan and the gifts God has given him in communicating, and pray that what he shares will be faithful and bold.
Sunday 27th May - Please pray for many good applicants for the hiring of the mid-year Summit Fellow intake. Pray that God will raise up many people and that they will show interest and come on a trial camp. Monday 28th May - Pray for the upcoming budgeting period, that wise decisions are made with regards to the organisation’s finances. Tuesday 29th May - Pray for the Camps Committee and give thanks that they are willing to serve CRU® in this way, thinking about the bigger picture and forward planning of CRU Camps. Wednesday 30th May - William Clarke College Year 6 are heading to Canberra this week for their school camp. Pray that the Summit Team will run a great educational experience as they visit many places and participate in tours around Canberra. Thursday 31st May - Pray for the CRU® Camps team as they communicate with leaders, directors, parents and campers. Pray all the conversations the team have will be helpful and encouraging.
JUNE Friday 1st June - Pray for the students who will be attending the Abbotsleigh Boarders Chapel tonight. Pray that God will speak into their lives and that they will seek to live for Him. Pray for Adri from the Schools Ministry Team as she supports them each week.
Saturday 2nd June - Give thanks for the Ministry staff at St Cath’s who run the CRU® Adelphe Groups. Give thanks for their creativity in sharing the gospel with the students and pray that their groups will continue to be a welcoming and encouraging space for all students. Pray for Kate from the Schools Ministry Team as she continues to support this school. Sunday 3rd June - Pray for James Carroll as he does various interviews for the mid-year Summit Fellow intake. Pray for wisdom and guidance with the decision making process. Monday 4th June - Give thanks for the men and women who serve on the many Council Committees. Pray that as they serve in this way, they might lead CRU® ministries to continue to glorify God. Tuesday 5th June - Pray for the Schools Ministry Associates, Andrew Stanford and Sofie Dowling, who are studying at Cornhill Sydney. Pray that they will grow in their understanding of God’s Word and who He is. Wednesday 6th June - Pray for the students from the CRU® Groups at Knox Grammar and Ravenswood School for Girls as they combine today to host Inter-CRU. Pray for a smooth running of the event and that God is glorified. Thursday 7th June - Please pray for the Summit Team as they run a school camp for Tara Anglican Primary School Year 3/4 at Galston. Praise God for this amazing opportunity to share the gospel with these young girls. Friday 8th June - Give thanks for the staff team that has been assembled at Lake Mac, from the cleaning to the kitchen to the property and the bookings. Thank God that He has richly blessed the site with His people. Saturday 9th June - Praise God for His grace and mercy in protecting guests at Galston and Lake Mac from harm, particularly in the area of special diets. Pray that staff would continue to diligently serve and protect guests. Sunday 10th June - Pray for Dan Perrott as he works on the new CRU® Group resources for 2019. Pray for creative ideas for activities and wisdom in creating lessons that are relevant and faithful to the Bible.
Monday 11th June - Please pray for the Summit Team, that they may be continually growing in their leadership and small group facilitation skills. Tuesday 12th June - Praise God for Executive Director Gary Hill, the gifts God has given him, and the way he uses them to lead CRU®. Pray that God will continue to sustain and equip him in his leadership. Wednesday 13th June - St Peter’s Anglican Primary School Year 5 are with the Summit Team this week for their school camp. Please pray that during the various activities, the leaders will be able to have good godly conversations, especially during bush walking. Thursday 14th June - Please pray for Danebank Anglican School for Girls Year 4 at Galston this week. Pray for the students, that they will leave camp knowing more about our great God. Friday 15th June - Give thanks for the students, chaplains and teachers who are involved in hosting Inner West Inter-CRU® at Newington College today. Pray that all of the students who attend will be inspired to live for Christ in their school. Saturday 16th June - Give thanks for the volunteers who give generously of their time and resources to come in to the office to help out with Crusader’s fundraising activities. Thank God for their willingness to help, and for their encouragement. Sunday 17th June - Pray for more bookings at the Lake Mac site as they transition to the new development. Monday 18th June - Please pray for wisdom and discernment for the Crusader Council as they meet tonight. Tuesday 19th June - Give thanks for Sue Lay who joined CRU® in the Finance Team. Pray that she continues to settle in her role and serve the organisation well. Wednesday 20th June - Please pray for the running of Arden Anglican School Year 3 camp this week. Pray for the Summit Team, that they will work together in great unity to run a smooth camp.
Thursday 21st June - Please pray for Crusader Council as they make decisions about the budget for the new financial year. Help them to make good decisions, that Crusaders might use the resources God has given them wisely. Friday 22nd June - Give thanks for the opportunity for Kambala to host Inter-CRU® today. Pray that the students will be united in their mission to see their friends come to know Christ. Saturday 23rd June - Please pray for the Summit Team, that they may be continually growing in their biblical skills and understanding of God. Sunday 24th June - Pray for the student leaders of the CRU® Groups at Northcross Christian School, that they will grow in their leadership skills. Give thanks for the care and dedication to discipleship shown by their chaplain Andrew Wilkinson. Pray for Kellie from the Schools Ministry Team, as she continues to support this school. Monday 25th June - Please pray for Dr Tim Wright as he leads the Crusader Council as Chair. Pray also for Helen Burgess (Deputy Chair) and Santino Dimarco (Treasurer). Give thanks for their hard work in the gospel, and pray that God will keep them standing firm in the Lord, depending on God as they use their gifts to serve the Council and CRU®. Tuesday 26th June - Pray for wisdom and creativity for the Fundraising Team as they seek to communicate with supporters about the activities of CRU® and outline current needs for support. Ask that God would use their efforts mightily to bring more young people into His kingdom. Wednesday 27th June - Claremont College Year 4 are coming on camp with the Summit Team for an Ecology camp. Pray the students will gain knowledge about the environment and that the students will remain safe while at the beach and on the rocks. Thursday 28th June - Pray for Seb and Jess Lane and the team leading the first CRU® Study Camp of the winter season. Pray for good organisation in the lead up to camp and that the students will get lots of great study done.
Friday 29th June - Praise God for the groups that love to stay at Galston year after year. Pray that the marketing campaigns will reach people who can book to stay in the times where there aren’t currently any bookings. Saturday 30th June - Pray for the winter CRU® Camps season that starts today and over 1,500 campers and 400 volunteers who will be on almost 30 camps. Pray for safety on some of the activity-intense camps, and great productivity on the many CRU Study Camps.
JULY Sunday 1st July - Give thanks for Kat and Nigel Cowell and the team leading on Winter Study this week. Pray the students will gain a good perspective for the rest of their studies and learn a good balance of study, rest and fun. Monday 2nd July - Pray for Emma and David Bott as they direct their first study camp. Give thanks for the team and that many Year 12 students will have a good support network around them after coming on this camp. Tuesday 3rd July - Praise God for Country Breakout at Lake Mac and for the young campers coming along as they have a great time around the campfire, ride horses and share their lives together for the week. Wednesday 4th July - St Peter’s Anglican Primary School, Year 6 are heading to Canberra for their Summit School Camp. Please pray for safety on the roads as the campers will do a lot of travelling by bus.
Thursday 5th July - Praise God for the mid-year intake of Summit Fellows. Praise God for His provision in this. Pray that the new Fellows will feel welcomed and comfortable within the team and that together, the new and old Fellows may be joyful and united. Friday 6th July - Pray for chaplains and teachers who are new to their positions this year. Pray that God will be helping them to settle into their roles and will be giving them wisdom in how they can best serve their schools. Saturday 7th July - Give thanks for the campers at study camp this week that they will be open to hearing the Good News of Jesus and have clear minds to study well to prepare for their trial exams. Sunday 8th July - Pray for Tim and Sarah Wearne and the team leading Winter Study 5. Pray for great community on camp which will enable great conversations and openness amongst the group. Also, praise God for Iain and Katie Martyn and their long service on dirtbike camps. Pray for safety and fun out on the bike trails. Give thanks for the mechanics who come to camp and work late in the night making sure the bikes are ready to go each day. Monday 9th July - Perth Study Camp is on this week. Please pray that Camp Director, Mark Grobicki, would lead his team well. Pray that the new campsite up in the Perth Hills would support the gospel conversations and study that happens on camp, and that the impact from this week would resonate into eternity. Tuesday 10th July - Praise God for the 120 campers on Winter Study 6 hearing about Jesus. Pray that many will make life long decisions to follow Him. Wednesday 11th July - Give thanks for the mountains and snow that campers can enjoy on Snow Mania, Powderhounds and Shred Thredbo. Pray for safety and lots of fun as they ski and snowboard, and hear about how God created the beautiful creation. Pray for lots of good chairlift conversations and that the kids will learn some new skills on the slopes. Thursday 12th July - Praise God for CRĂœTech, a camp that provides an outlet for campers interested in technology, and the skills the leaders are willing to share on camp. Praise God that they are able to connect with each other and share Jesus.
Friday 13th July - Pray for Adrenaline Rush at Lake Mac, that the young people will have a great time on camp and the leaders do a great job looking after them and sharing Jesus with them. Pray also for Mountain Odyssey, a brand new camp in winter giving another option for primary school kids to come on a camp. Pray for these young kids as they explore the Blue Mountains and explore what the Bible says about God and how this impacts their young lives. Saturday 14th July - Praise God for the partnership CRU® has with St Paul’s Castle Hill in running Supaweek Day Camp with them. Pray this camp can be a great thing for the community in providing quality, affordable care for families but also a “supa” fun week learning about God. Sunday 15th July - Pray for James Glover and the amazing network of dirt bike volunteers who cook, mechanic, lead, speak and direct the bike camps. Praise God that so many boys and girls love these camps and that we have the resources to provide and maintain the bikes to help camp run well. Monday 16th July - Give thanks for Adrenaline Action and the creativity of the leaders in making the marshmallow skirmish guns and planning the missions for the week which the campers love. Praise God that these kids from all different backgrounds can get outside and enjoy a beautiful campsite and God’s creation. Tuesday 17th July - Pray for Mike and Amy directing Winter Study 7, Sam and Jacob on Winter Study 8 and Martin and Emma on Winter Study 9. Pray that their experience on study camps will be a great asset as they help students prepare for their HSC and also answer some of their big life questions. Wednesday 18th July - Please pray for CRU® Create performing arts camp. Give thanks for the many leaders and tutors coming along to share their skills and talents with the campers. Thursday 19th July - Pray for the Year 11 Study Skills camp and the way this helps Year 11 students get ahead, prepare for a big year and get into some great habits mentally, physically and spiritually. Praise God for the young kids He has brought along to Winter Escape camp to learn about Him and also get to enjoy the last of their winter holidays in a great way with heaps of fun activities and new friends.
Friday 20th July - Praise God for the amazing site Shred Hotham stays at and the awesome skiing and snow boarding the campers enjoy. Pray for safety on the mountain and as they travel to and from camp. Pray this smaller camp allows for wonderful community as they cook, eat and live, ski and share together for the week. Saturday 21st July - Pray for Executive Director Gary Hill, that God will uphold him as he works. Pray that God will grant him great wisdom as he undertakes all the tasks laid before him. Sunday 22nd July - Praise God for the great connection CRU® has with Macarthur Anglican School and that the Super CRU Day Camp held there is so popular with the school community, as it provides a great opportunity to share Jesus with many kids and a fun environment for the school holidays. Monday 23rd July - Praise God for the long running partnership we have with Richard Johnson Anglican School and St Marks in running CRU® Blast Day Camp. Praise God for the student leaders who come on camp, and pray that the skills they learn and practice on camp will stay with them once they finish school. Tuesday 24th July - Thank God for the CRU® on the Cove Day Camp running at Belmont Christian College this week and for all the campers that will come along each day excited to be on camp and participate in all the activities. Pray they will enjoy the Christian Discovery sessions where they can ask lots of questions and understand more about God. Wednesday 25th July - Uphold the Lake Mac Redevelopment in prayer. Praise God for the approval of the DA earlier this year. Pray that God would provide the funds needed to reach another one million campers over the next 50 years. Thursday 26th July - Praise God for the staff team He is developing at Galston. Pray for continued teamwork, care and a great attitude in serving the Lord. Friday 27th July - Pray for one girls’ schools in WA where God has now placed three Christian teachers. CRU® West is hoping to start a lunchtime group there, so please pray that God would open doors and soften hearts.
Saturday 28th July - Give thanks for the ministry team at Shellharbour Anglican College, and for their passion to see students come to know Christ and to grow in His love. Pray for the Schools Ministry Team as they continue to support this school. Sunday 29th July - Please pray for the new Summit Fellows. Pray that they will learn the ropes well and remember everything they have been taught during their training.
Monday 30th July - The Summit Team are taking Oxford Falls Grammar School Year 6 to Canberra to visit Parliament and various other places. Pray that all will go smoothly with the camp, timing and bookings. Please pray also for the Crusader Council as they meet tonight. Tuesday 31st July - Praise God for the opportunity the Summit Team has to run camp for Mountain View Adventist College Year 3/4 at Galston. Please pray for the Summit leaders, that they will be reminded of the great opportunity they have with these campers and use it well.
AUGUST
Wednesday 1st August - Please pray for Gary Hill as he leads CRUÂŽ in this time of growth with the redevelopment of Lake Mac. Please pray particularly that Gary will lead CRU to manage the changes well. Pray that God will grant Gary and all other staff patience and grace as they adjust to these changes. Thursday 2nd August - Please pray for Alice from the Finance Team as she goes on maternity leave in August. Friday 3rd August - Ask that God would bless the efforts of the Lake Mac Redevelopment Committee, that this project might proceed without delay so that the Lake Mac site can be revitalised as soon as possible. Saturday 4th August - Give thanks for the families who give a donation to CRUÂŽ on top of camp fees when they book their child on camp. Praise God that we can use these funds to send other kids that may not have the opportunity to do so otherwise, onto camp. Sunday 5th August - Pray for the staff at All Saints College and the Scots School Bathurst as they prepare to combine their schools next year. Pray for wisdom and for discernment amongst the School Board and Executives. Pray also for Pete, the Director of Schools Ministry, as he continues to support these schools. Monday 6th August - Please pray that the Summit Team will provide safe and fun camps for each student to experience and learn new skills to take back home with them.
Tuesday 7th August - Please pray for the Summit Team as they run the Children’s Program for the Connect 18 Conference with Christian Venues Association. Pray that this will be a great chance to gather together and connect with people from other campsites around Australia, both staff themselves and their children. Wednesday 8th August - William Clarke College, Year 3/4 are at Galston this week for their school camp. Please pray for the Summit Team as they run this camp for the first time. Pray that they will be able to work well together with the teachers to run a smooth camp. Thursday 9th August - Pray for the student leaders who will be attending the Bible Society’s Masterclass event today. Pray for the CRU® Schools Ministry team who are partnering with the Bible Society to run this event. Pray for clear communication and a united desire to see students grow in their Christian leadership skills. Friday 10th August - Pray for the Trinity students as they host today’s Inter-CRU®. Give thanks for their enthusiasm and joy for serving the students, teachers, and chaplains who attend. Pray that students will invite their friends along to today’s event. Saturday 11th August - Pray that the Crusader Council will be able to make wise decisions as they plan for the future of CRU®. Sunday 12th August - Praise God that after a leader gave their testimony on a Summit camp, one of the boys, Jarryd, was able to ask the leader many questions and the leader was able to help Jarryd cope with what was going on in his life. Monday 13th August - Praise God for the provision of many faithful financial supporters who give generously so that CRU® can operate. Tuesday 14th August - Praise God that the Lake Mac site team have good relationships with neighbours on all the boundaries of the site. Wednesday 15th August - Please pray for the Summit Team as they go on camps, that they may be able to preach the gospel clearly and faithfully teach every camper about God in a way that is fresh and appropriate to their age and faith background.
Thursday 16th August - Please pray for the Divisional Heads on retreat over the next two days. Please pray that they will work together well, with good communication and support for each other, that the work of CRU® might continue to glorify our great God and Saviour. Friday 17th August - The Summit Team are running a day camp for St Peter’s Anglican School Year 3. Pray that the leaders will be able to form relationships with the students quickly and well during their short time together. Saturday 18th August - Give thanks for Andrew Robinson and the Christian teachers who are involved in running the CRU® groups at Canberra Grammar School. Give thanks for their dedication to growing students in their faith and pray for wisdom and creativity for the future. Pray also for Dan from the Schools Ministry Team as he continues to support this school. Sunday 19th August - Praise God for the many opportunities CRU® has to train young people in sharing the gospel. Pray that God would use CRU powerfully in this way. Monday 20th August - Give thanks for those who provide our IT systems and particularly for David Czapala as he leads the area and manages the technology we use. Tuesday 21st August - Give thanks for many volunteers who have come along to working bee weekends or contributed as regular helpers at Lake Mac. Wednesday 22nd August - Praise God for the opportunity to run school camps for Scone Grammar School, Years 3 and 4 at Lake Mac and Galston. Please pray that throughout the camps, the Summit Team may be godly examples to the students. Thursday 23rd August - Roseville College are having school camps with Summit this week, K-2 Day Camps at school, and Year 3/4 at Galston. Please pray for the leaders, that they will be able to facilitate all their groups well, both their activity groups and their discussion groups. Friday 24th August - Pray for the students, teachers and chaplains attending Inter-CRU® at Radford, that they will be encouraged by the fellowship they receive, inspired by the Word that is preached and moved by the Holy Spirit to follow God’s will.
Saturday 25th August - Please pray for the Summit Team, that they will create a temporary community where God’s love can be displayed and shown by the leaders and campers can further their potential. Sunday 26th August - Praise God for two students from Claremont College who overcame their fears at abseiling. The two of them were terrified but in the end, they both made it down the wall and their faces were beaming for the rest of the day. Please pray that they will continue to grow and overcome their fears. Monday 27th August - Pray for the CRU® FIT (Followers in Training) events starting today at Broughton Anglican College, and continuing over the next two weeks at Norwest Christian College, Roseville College, Scots, Trinity Christian School (ACT), Meriden, Thomas Hassall Anglican College, and Shellharbour Anglican College. Pray that the students will be eager to put into practice the new skills that they develop in sharing Jesus with their school peers. Tuesday 28th August - Give thanks for Clayton Moss and the Chaplaincy Team at Meriden School. Praise God for the work that they are doing in the school to show the students the love of Jesus. Pray for Clare from the Schools Ministry Team as she continues to support this school. Wednesday 29th August - Thank God for all those who have led CRU® since its beginnings. Praise God for their legacy and pray that the current Executive Director Gary Hill would continue to faithfully serve God. Thursday 30th August - Pray for the Fundraising Team as they apply for a number of grants. Pray that God would help the team to put together powerful and effective applications, and that we would be successful in securing funding for the work of CRU® Friday 31st August - Give thanks for all the staff at the CRU® head office in Eastwood. Thank God for the opportunity the staff have to work, study God’s Word and pray together.
SEPTEMBER
Saturday 1st September - Please pray as CRU® West endeavours to start Friday afternoon inter-school CRU fellowship sessions in WA. These will ideally be twice a year, where students can meet others from schools around Perth, encourage one another, receive some training and some Bible teaching. Sunday 2nd September - Pray for the Finance Team and particularly Karl Winter as he plays a pivotal role in finalising the year’s results during September. Monday 3rd September - Please pray for the Crusader Council as they meet tonight. Tuesday 4th September - Oxford Falls Grammar School, Year 3 students will be joining the Summit Team for their school camp for the first time. Pray for the students, that they will be able to have an enjoyable experience and that they won’t experience any homesickness, and that the leaders will be able to provide a welcoming and friendly environment. Wednesday 5th September - Oxford Falls Grammar School, Year 4 camp is at Galston with the Summit Team. Please pray that the students will learn more about themselves through what they experience during camp. Thursday 6th September - Praise God for the Summit Team as they run camp for St Philip’s Christian School Gosford Year 3 and 4 at Galston. Please pray for the students, that throughout camp, they may be able to form new and better friendships with others in their year group.
Friday 7th September - Please pray for the students on Trinity Christian School Year 4 camp with the Summit Team. Pray that throughout camp they may be able to develop various skills that can be kept with them for life. Saturday 8th September - Pray for the CRU® Holiday Camps Team as they continue to prepare for the spring season. Pray that many kids would register for camp. Sunday 9th September - The Crusader Women’s Fellowship will be meeting tomorrow to pray for the work of CRU®. Praise God for these faithful supporters who give up their time to pray for specific needs at CRU. Monday 10th September - This week is a Week of Prayer for Schools Ministry. Pray that chaplains, teachers and students will be encouraged to pray regularly throughout the week for their schools and communities. Pray for the Schools Ministry team as they host the Night of Prayer, and that many supporters will be willing to come. Tuesday 11th September - Trinity Grammar Junior School Year 3 and 4 are at Galston for their school camp with Summit. Please pray that during camp, they may be able to learn things that they are able to apply to their lives both at home and at school. Wednesday 12th September - Please pray for Oxford Falls Grammar School Year 5 as they come on camp with the Summit Team. Pray that it will be an enjoyable experience for the campers. Thursday 13th September - Dubbo Christian School Year 5 and 6 are at Lake Mac for their school camp with the Summit Team. Please pray for the students, that they will be able to see and appreciate God’s wonderful creation as they spend time on the lake. Friday 14th September - Rouse Hill Anglican School Year 4 is at Galston for their school camp with Summit. Please pray that during camp the kids may be able to understand the gospel clearly. Saturday 15th September - Pray for VOLT Spring. Pray that lots of volunteer camp leaders will come along to be trained and can receive really practical information about leading on camp that will help them share Jesus and connect with campers.
Sunday 16th September - Thank God for the beautiful Galston campsite and pray that all those who visit will be able to spend time reflecting on the wonder of God’s creation. Monday 17th September - Praise God for the opportunity the Summit team has to run Rouse Hill Anglican School Year 3 Day Camp this week. Pray for good weather throughout the day as the team runs various outdoor activities. Tuesday 18th September - Praise God for the opportunity the Summit Team has to hand out Bible resources to students on camp. Please pray that more students will continue to show an interest in wanting to develop their relationship with God. Wednesday 19th September - About 200 young professionals are at the Crusader Business Breakfast this morning. Pray that God would be encouraging the young men and women who attend and ask that they would give sacrificially to help reach more Aussie kids for Christ. Thursday 20th September - Mosman Preparatory School Year 3 are at Lake Mac for their school camp with Summit. Please pray for these young boys, that during camp they may be able to go outside their comfort zones and grow in their confidence and understanding of God.. Friday 21st September - Pacific Hills Christian School Year 3 are at Galston this week with the Summit Team. Please pray for safety as they participate in many activities over the few days. Trinity Grammar Prep Year 3 are also at Galston for camp. Pray for great relationships to form between the leaders and students. Saturday 22nd September - Praise God that He has provided some more funds in order to employ someone in a one-day-a-week support role in WA, and for placing Sheridan and Hannah in their roles with CRUŽ West. Sunday 23rd September - Uphold Anna Wood and Damien Wang in prayer as they seek to raise major funds for the redevelopment of the Lake Mac campsite. Ask that God would use these funds to expand the campsite capacity, so that many more young people will be able to come and be challenged by the claims of Christ.
Monday 24th September - Pray for the spring CRU® Camps season and the 14 camps running, including six study camps, four activity camps, two day camps and two Christian leadership camps. Pray God’s Word will go out on these camps and have a great impact on the campers. Tuesday 25th September - Pray for the campers coming on camp from international backgrounds. There are many Korean and French children in particular. Pray they will feel welcome on camp and that language barriers won’t impact their experience of camp. Give thanks Jesus is going out to people in these communities through their children coming on camp. Wednesday 26th September - Praise God for the opportunity to run Summit School Camps with St Mark’s Coptic Orthodox College this week. Year 8 is at Galston and Year 10 is at Lake Mac. Please pray that the students will feel welcomed and comfortable on camp and as a result, they may be able to share and grow in their faith. Thursday 27th September - St Luke’s Grammar School Year 4 are joining the Summit Team for their school camp. Please pray that the kids will learn from their camp experience and in particular that discussion groups will be a great time of growth, challenge and encouragement. Friday 28th September - Please pray for the running of Trinity Christian School Year 5 camp with the Summit Team. Pray that throughout camp, the leaders will display Christ in all their actions and words. Saturday 29th September - Pray for Mark Baines as he steps up to direct and lead the team as they look after the primary school kids on Splash at Lake Mac. Give thanks for the lake to use for lots of activities. Sunday 30th September - Pray for Renee Smith and Callum Morris and the rest of the team as they serve on Last Chance Study A. Pray the students will have a great week preparing for their final exams and thinking about their world view and what they think about the Christian faith.
OCTOBER Monday 1st October - Spring Leadership Camp is on this week in Perth. This is the second time this camp has run so please pray that God would continue the work He began in the lives of those campers returning again, and that the kids on camp for the first time would be convicted to be clear Christian witnesses in their schools. Tuesday 2nd October - Pray for James and Bec Taylor and the team leading Last Chance Study B. Pray for great community and conversations to put life into perspective, that they can think about things that matter for eternity as well as in this life. Wednesday 3rd October - Praise God for the culture Brightwaters camps have and that kids are so keen to come to this camp in spring and summer, for water skiing and to find a wonderful Christian community full of life, fun and care for each other. Thursday 4th October - Pray for Frantik which attracts a wide variety of campers from all different backgrounds. Pray that when they come to camp, they are treated as equals and valuable in God’s eyes and in the eyes of the leaders. Friday 5th October - Praise God for CRUŽ Craze Day Camp and that this camp is back on again in partnership with Arden Anglican School. Give thanks for the student leaders on the camp and pray that they can be trained up now for a lifetime of servant leadership. Saturday 6th October - Please pray for the Summit Team, that they will live prayerful and godly lives, as they seek to mature in their faith in order to bring glory to God.
Sunday 7th October - Pray for Ellen and Will as they lead the team on Last Chance Study C. Give thanks for their care for the leadership team and the students on camp. Pray for the tutors coming along to help at different seminars and that this will be of great benefit to the students as they do their last preparations for their exams. Monday 8th October - Pray for the students attending CrossTrain this week, that they will settle into camp quickly, be inspired by the Bible teaching, and equipped to do good work for the sake of the gospel in their CRU® Groups and schools. Pray for the Schools Ministry Team as they minister to the students on this camp. Tuesday 9th October - Pray for Cathy Dell and the great team of leaders at Galston this week as they help students on Last Chance Study D to study well and also think about life after school. Wednesday 10th October - Pray for the team on Last Chance Study E, that they will help students prepare for their HSC and also answer some bigger questions students might have about God and life. Thursday 11th October - Praise God for the students He has brought along to Last Chance Study F. Pray that it will be a great chance for them to hear about Jesus and that the week of study will set them up to be in a great place ready for their final school exams. Friday 12th October - Give thanks for Mac Time and the great fun Brooke Linton and the team have in store for the campers in Christian Discovery time, during activities and on their excursion day. Saturday 13th October - Praise God for the capacity at Galston to run Spring into Action Day Camp alongside other camps. Pray for the activities the campers will get to enjoy and the lessons they learn about God and creation. Praise God for the ministry of Day Camps and the way this introduces kids to CRU® Camps. Sunday 14th October - Pray for the website and IT connecting CRU® Camps to the public. Give thanks that this allows the Holiday Camps Team to book more kids on camps than ever before.
