pray with us! Dear prayer supporter, We pray that you and your loved ones are keeping safe and well. We give thanks to God that CRU’s ministries were running at full capacity in the first half of 2021. However, the July lockdown meant many of our face-to-face ministries were significantly impacted in the middle of the year. As we move forward, the ever-changing Coronavirus situation remains unpredictable, and our operations are affected by government regulations. As we cannot be confident about dates for camps, groups or events, we have created this daily prayer plan that you can use at this time to continue to pray for us. We hope you find it helpful. Weekly CRU Prayer Plan Monday – As COVID-related restrictions evolve, CRU leadership need to make informed, wise decisions about when and how to safely re-engage in camping ministry and school groups. Please pray for clarity and certainty, the ability to be flexible, boldness in sharing the gospel, and responsible decision-making. Tuesday – Many young people have missed out on hearing the gospel and being discipled by Christian leaders this year because of COVID restrictions. Pray that they will develop a hunger to read the Bible for themselves and find the Christian friendship and support they need. Wednesday – Our governments, leaders and health authorities continue to make significant decisions for our nation. Pray for truth, justice and generosity to be at the forefront. Pray against fatigue and burnout, and for renewed energy and foresight. Also pray that God will grant wisdom to the CRU Board and senior management. Thursday – With so many changes and uncertainties in the past couple of years, pray for creativity and enthusiasm for CRU staff as we seek to engage the next generation with the good news of Jesus in relevant ways. Pray against disappointment when plans need to be altered and new plans put in place. Friday – Pray for those who are unwell in our community, both with COVID and other illnesses and conditions, that God would show them His goodness and faithfulness in times of trouble. Pray for communities around the world that are far more vulnerable than ours, that God will be their refuge. Saturday – Pray for CRU Camps and events that may be planned or going ahead, for the Spirit to be with the leaders and organisers, and for young people and guests to grow in maturity and godliness. Sunday – Thank God, who hears and answers our prayers, that He has all things within His control. Pray for all Christians gathering today, whether virtually or in person, that their combined worship will bring glory to God, and that those leading or teaching today will faithfully proclaim the Word of God.
