DIARY prayer

Week starting Sunday 3 September
Give thanks for the three Followers in Training (FIT) events that will be held at schools across NSW and the ACT this term. Pray that the Year 5 and 6 student leaders who are attending will be compelled to learn more about God as well as practical ways to serve Him and others. Pray also for the Inter-CRU event which is happening at Newington on Friday, that this would be a great time of fellowship for Year 7 to 12 students from different schools.
Week starting Sunday 10 September
Pray for the CRU Board Meeting this week, that God would provide wisdom as decisions and plans for the future are made. Pray too for the FIT event at Claremont College, that the students attending would be encouraged to stand firm in their faith as they hear from God’s Word and network with Christians from other schools. Please be praying for our staffing needs at CRU Galston and CRU Lake Mac in the kitchen teams, that God would provide enthusiastic and faithful people to fill these positions.
Week starting Sunday 17 September

Please pray for gospel-centred discussions on each of the six CRU Educational Camps being held at various locations this week. Thank God for sustaining the Summit team through a very busy term of camps (46 camps in Term 3) and for growing their reliance on Him. Please pray for God’s provision of new Summit trainees to join CRU for Term 1, 2024 and that current Year 12 students would prayerfully consider this ministry program.
Week starting Sunday 24 September
Praise God for the opportunity to run 11 CRU Holiday Camps this spring season. This week there are two Study Camps, two Activity Camps and two Day Camps. The children attending these camps come from a variety of backgrounds, some of whom have never heard of Jesus before. Please pray that they all come to know more about God’s love and His salvation plan this week. Thank God for our amazing volunteers who give their time generously and for the skills God has given them.

Week starting Sunday 1 October
Praise God for the second week of CRU Holiday Camps which include one Study Camp, two Activity Camps and two Day Camps. Pray for the safety of the campers and that they would learn more about God and His love for them. Ask that God would be providing more young people to join the Summit Program once they finish school.
Week starting Sunday 8 October
As Term 4 starts, praise God for the opportunity to continue sharing the gospel with the next generation and the work He continues to do throughout CRU. Pray for the CRU Educational Camps team as camps begin at CRU Lake Mac and CRU Galston this week. Pray that God would continue to provide faithful people to join CRU’s ministries across our sites so that His name can be glorified.
Week starting Sunday 15 October

Pray for the four CRU Educational Camps happening this week, that the team would be able to faithfully minister God’s Word. Pray for the CRU Business Breakfast that will be held at the QVB this Thursday, that our supporters would be encouraged and inspired by hearing how God has been transforming lives through CRU. Give thanks for their generosity and ongoing support.
Week starting Sunday 22 October
Pray for the CRU Wills Days happening this week at Eastwood, North Sydney and Mona Vale, ask that the lawyers and our attendees would have fruitful discussions about their Wills. Give thanks for the generosity of the lawyers as they share their time and expertise. Praise God for our kitchen staff and the work that they do to provide meals to campers, please pray that God would be providing more people to join these teams.
Week starting Sunday 29 October
Pray for the CRU Governance Committee Meeting and Board Meeting happening this week, that through these discussions, God would be glorified. Give thanks for the return of the CRU Ball and the opportunity to recognise the efforts of our volunteer community as they serve God and His Kingdom on CRU Holiday Camps. Ask that God would continue to provide volunteer leaders, particularly for our upcoming summer season so that the gospel can be shared.
Week starting Sunday 5 November
Give thanks for CRU’s Schools Ministry team and the work that they do to serve God’s kingdom in various schools across NSW. Please be praying for Mega-CRU which is running at Shore School this week and for the students in Years 7 to 12 who are attending, that they would be encouraged and able to connect with students from other schools. Thank God for CRU staff and their continued efforts to serve Him and ask that He would continue to provide more staff so that CRU can faithfully continue our mission.
Week starting Sunday 12 November
Please pray for the CRU Properties Committee and Finance Committee as they meet this week and give thanks for each of the members, for their passion and willingness to serve God in this way. Give thanks for the CRU West team and their efforts to share Jesus throughout Western Australia. Pray for the CRU West Partnership Dinner this week, that it would be an encouraging time for Christians to connect with one another and recognise the work God is doing through CRU West. Please pray that God would be providing skilled and faithful people to join the CRU West team, so that the gospel can continue to be shared faithfully across the state.
Week starting Sunday 19 November
Praise God for the staff at our CRU Lake Mac and CRU Galston Gorge sites, for their hard work to ensure that each camp runs smoothly. Pray that God would continue to provide great staff to join these teams and that He would be providing wisdom to those involved in the recruitment process.

Week starting Sunday 26 November
Pray for the two CRU Educational Camps running this week, that the Educational Camps team would be able to develop strong relationships with the students throughout the week so that the students can deepen their knowledge of who God is. Praise God for the CRU staff who work in Accounts, Payroll, Communications, Operations, HR and IT and for the skills He has equipped them with to support CRU’s ministries. Ask that God would continue to provide staff in these areas so that CRU’s ministries can continue to be well supported. Pray also for the CRU Board Meeting this week, that God would have His hand over the discussions and decisions being made during this time.
Week starting Sunday 3 December

Praise God for another year of CRU Educational Camps and the work He has done on each camp. Pray for the final four camps coming up this week at various locations, that God would continue to be at work in the students and teachers attending. Please pray for the Summit team as they continue Summit Program recruitment, ask that it would be a smooth process and that God would be providing enthusiastic people to join the team.
Week starting Sunday 10 December
Thank God for the start of another CRU Holiday Camps season and for the campers that have registered. Please pray for the four Activity Camps and one Day Camp running this week, that each camp would run smoothly and that the leaders will be able to faithfully share the gospel with the campers. Please continue to pray for the recruitment of kitchen staff at the CRU Galston Gorge and CRU Lake Mac sites so that we can continue to provide great camp meals.
Week starting Sunday 17 December
Give thanks for the four Activity Camps that are on this week and ask that the campers will enjoy their time away and be able to experience the goodness of God. Praise God for our CRU Holiday Camps team and their hard work to further His kingdom, ask that He would be providing them with energy and clarity as they continue to manage bookings, coordinate camp volunteers and liaise with each campsite.

Praise be to God for the birth of His Son Jesus and the hope found in our Saviour King. Please pray that the good news of Jesus will be made known throughout the world this Christmas.
Week starting Sunday 31 December
Praise God for the new year and an exciting start to 2024 with seven Activity Camps running this week. Ask that God would sustain the leaders and give them the energy to faithfully minister to the campers. Pray for the campers, that they would have an enjoyable time and be encouraged to dig deeper into God’s Word so that they can understand the full extent of His love and grace. Please pray that our current volunteers would be an encouragement to others to also lead on CRU Camps in the coming year.
Week starting Sunday 7 January

Praise God for the four Activity Camps, one Study Camp and two Day Camps being held this week and for the campers attending. Pray that the leaders will have many opportunities to share who God is with the campers and that lives would be transformed across each of these camps. Thank God for the new Summit trainees starting this year, pray that they would be excited by this opportunity and be able to settle into the team well.
Week starting Sunday 14 January
Thank God for the three Activity Camps, Study Camp and Day Camp happening this week and for the campers going along, that they would have the opportunity to build friendships and be encouraged to know God personally. Please pray particularly for CRU West and the two Activity Camps they are running this week. Pray for the team that they would be able to help many young campers be inspired to learn more about God on camp and after camp. Ask God for his provision of more staff for the CRU West team so that they can continue to share the gospel with a new generation in Western Australia.
Week starting Sunday 21 January
Please pray for students, teachers and chaplains as they prepare to return to school next week. Pray for CRU and its various ministries, that this year would be a time that many young lives can be reached with the good news of Jesus. Pray that CRU Groups would resume well as the school year begins and that new students would feel welcomed and get involved. Ask God that He would continue to sustain each of our teams across CRU this year and provide for our recruitment needs so that His Word can continue to be shared.
Week starting Sunday 28 January
Praise God for the CRU Educational Camps team, pray that they would be modelling Christ well to students and teachers. Please pray for the new trainees, that as they begin to lead on Educational Camps, they would be learning and growing in their skills so that they can minister to students well. Pray that God would continue to provide for our recruitment needs, particularly in our kitchen teams who play a vital role in the running of camps.
