Dear prayer supporter, We pray that you and your loved ones are safe and well. Prayer is always essential, and even more so in these challenging and uncertain times. We are heartbroken that due to the significant measures put in place by both the federal and state governments to address the Coronavirus situation, all camps and school visits have been placed on hold until further notice. Despite this, there is still lots of ministry taking place. God is at work in young lives! We are adapting our programs and resources to the digital space and continuing to engage with students, teachers and leaders online - digging deeper into God’s Word. Given our existing prayer diary is now out of date, we have created this 4-week prayer plan that you can use from now until September. We hope you find it helpful. MONTHLY PRAYER PLAN 2020 Week 1 Monday - We thank our God that He is all-knowing and in control (Psalm 145). Praise Him that He hears and answers our prayers. Tuesday - Pray that God will grant wisdom to those in leadership at CRU®. For the Board, senior management and directors, pray that God will help them to make wise decisions to enable the gospel to be shared effectively. Wednesday - Pray for all leaders and those in authority, that God would grant them wisdom to make the right decisions. Thursday - Give thanks for those in our society whose careers are dedicated to helping the sick in the healthcare system. Pray for God’s protection over their health, as they seek to look after ill patients on the frontline. Friday - Pray for creativity for CRU staff as we seek to engage the next generation with the good news of Jesus in new and innovative ways. Saturday - Pray for our Christian brothers and sisters around the world, that they may hold fast to the hope we have in Jesus in the midst of uncertainty and trouble. Sunday - Pray for young people who have made commitments to Christ on camps in the past year. Pray that their faith will remain steadfast as they adapt to the uncertainty around them, and that they will learn to draw comfort and peace from God.
Week 2 Monday - Pray that we would not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present our requests to God. (Philippians 4:6) Tuesday - Pray that God would sustain CRU’s finances, through the generosity of His people, at this difficult time of no camp income.
Wednesday - Pray that God would bring a swift end to this pandemic, and that Christians everywhere would make the most of this time to share the hope and love of Jesus with those who don’t yet know Him. Thursday - Pray for the families of those who work in the healthcare system. Pray that God will provide rest, protection and assurance in this time of change. Friday - Praise God for the gift of the internet which enables us to continue sharing the hope of Jesus with young people online during this difficult time. Saturday - Praise God for the godly men and women who make up the CRU® Board and meet regularly to guide the work of CRU. Pray that their decisions would be guided by God’s truth and wisdom. Sunday - Thank God that students and teachers are able to use online resources that CRU has prepared to continue to dig deeper into God’s Word.
Week 3 Monday - Praise God that He is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1) Tuesday - Pray that God will empower us to continue to reach out to others in faith, hope and love. Pray that we would be particularly showing grace to those who are in need. Wednesday - Ask that God will grant strength and wisdom to our government as they continue to make significant decisions for our nation. Thursday - Pray for those who are unwell in our community, that God would show them His goodness and faithfulness in times of trouble. Friday - Pray for the building work to be completed at CRU Lake Mac, and thank God for the large number of bookings already in place for 2021. Saturday - Pray that CRU would trust in God’s sovereign timing, as we make decisions about the activities and work of each ministry area. Sunday - Pray for students, particularly those studying for the HSC & IB, that God would grow their trust and dependence on Him.
Week 4 Monday - Praise God for the promise of a new creation, and the promise that He works all things for the good of His people. (Romans 8:18-30) Tuesday - Pray for vulnerable communities around the world, that God will provide for their needs and be their refuge. Wednesday - Praise God that He reigns forever. Pray that we would trust in His sovereignty and pray for wisdom for the authorities placed over us in Australia. Thursday - Pray for those who have suffered loss of any kind during this health crisis and ask that God would bring a cure, swift healing and recovery worldwide. Friday - Thank God for the training that CRUÂŽ staff are able to undertake whilst they wait for camps to resume as soon as the pandemic has passed. Saturday - Pray that God will provide counsel to those who direct and guide the work of CRU. Pray that God will protect their unity in faith, as they make important decisions for CRU. Sunday - Pray for the next generation, that they would grow to know and love the Lord Jesus. For those who follow Him, pray that God will give them boldness in witnessing to those around them.
