JANUARY Monday 20 January - Pray for Summer Thrills Day Camp at Terrey Hills as it continues to grow in its relationship with the local community. Pray that the campers who come along will have lots of fun, make new friends, and enjoy hearing from the Bible in exciting ways. Tuesday 21 January - Thank God for Sailing Masters being held at CRUŽ Lake Mac this week. Pray that there will be a close-knit community on camp where campers feel comfortable sharing and asking questions. Pray that the leaders will answer any questions faithfully. Wednesday 22 January - Pray for Beach Blitz as it’s held at a different campsite this year. Pray that the logistics of camp will go well, that camp will run smoothly, and that there will be lots of opportunities to share Jesus with the campers this week. Thursday 23 January - Give thanks for Summer Study 2 and the way this camp gives many students more confidence in their Year 12 study. Pray that students will gain a more balanced perspective of Year 12 life and be curious to learn more about the hope Jesus brings. Friday 24 January - Please pray for Triple G which is back at CRU Galston Gorge this year. Give thanks that the team is able to lead the campers in various fun activities. Pray that the campers will enjoy the great outdoors and ask many gospel questions during the week.
Saturday 25 January - Praise God for a great summer CRU Holiday Camps season and give thanks for all the campers that attended a camp. Praise God for the work He is doing in the lives of the campers who decided to follow Christ this season. Pray that they will be supported by their school lunchtime groups and local churches. Sunday 26 January - Give thanks to God for IT systems that make our daily work lives more comfortable and productive. Praise God for David Czapala, CRU’s IT manager, who maintains these systems and supports our various divisions at two remote locations, as well as the head office at Eastwood. Monday 27 January - Praise God for the hundreds of directors, leaders, cooks, speakers, boaties and all the other volunteers on camp over the recent summer season. Thank God for their faithful service, sacrifice, and the way they helped make CRU Holiday Camps so enjoyable for the campers. Tuesday 28 January - Please pray for Sue Lay as she co-ordinates payroll and pays all supplier invoices. Her work allows our field staff to focus on serving in their roles and spend less time on admin tasks as they connect with schools, campers and leaders. Wednesday 29 January - This week, CRU Educational Camps will be running its first school camp of the year for Abbotsleigh Year 12 at CRU Galston Gorge. Pray that camp runs smoothly and pray for the students as they participate in various activities and sessions to help them prepare for the year ahead. Thursday 30 January - Pray for the CRU AGM and Board meeting being held tonight. Pray for Gary, Nigel and the Board, as they discuss various items with the Members. Pray that God will grant everyone great wisdom in their discussion and decision-making. Friday 31 January - Please continue to pray for Gary Hill, our Executive Director, as he provides the strong and godly leadership that is so vital to CRU. Pray that God will sustain him through the many meetings, internally and externally, and as he prepares talks and speaks words of encouragement to staff, leaders and campers. We thank God for the relationships Gary has developed with many stakeholders who have supported CRU throughout the years.
FEBRUARY Saturday 1 February - Thank God for all those who gave so generously towards the Christmas Appeal to help cover the funding shortfall for summer CRU® Holiday Camps. Praise God for how He reveals Himself to campers, like Jessica, who decide to follow Jesus after attending a CRU Holiday Camp. Sunday 2 February - During Term 1, CRU Educational Camps will be running 39 school camps. Praise God for the amazing opportunity to share the gospel with around 2,545 students at these camps. Praise God for the way He uses these camps to impact the lives of the next generation. Thank God for the partnership we have with so many schools, and pray that we will continue to work alongside each other well. Monday 3 February – The CRU Educational Camps Team are with Medowie Christian School Year 7 at CRU Lake Mac this week. Please pray for safety as the leaders and campers complete many water and land activities. Also pray that the students will be challenged to grow in their knowledge and faith in Christ. Tuesday 4 February - We are so thankful for the immense support received to date from the CRU family and wider community. Praise God for His abundant blessing over the Lake Mac Redevelopment Project. While the major ‘capital campaign’ fundraising has now come to an end, we are still looking for additional funds to cover the building of a fifth cabin (brought forward into Stage 1) and to help reduce bridging finance costs. The site will now have 260 new beds! Wednesday 5 February - Newington College Years 3 and 4 are on a CRU Educational Camp this week. Please pray for safety as they complete many fun activities and pray that there will be many opportunities for gospel conversations. Thursday 6 February – CRU Educational Camps is running the St Luke’s Grammar School Year 6 camp at CRU Lake Mac this
week. Please pray that great relationships will be built between the leaders and the students, and that they will have many opportunities for good conversations as they complete activities in God’s creation. Friday 7 February - Ravenswood School for Girls Year 4 are with CRU Educational Camps at CRU Galston Gorge this week. Pray for the students as they focus on growing in resilience and learn independent living skills through a variety of camp activities. Ask that God will be helping the students understand who He is and know of His great love for them. Saturday 8 February - Praise God that the solar panels at CRU Galston Gorge are generating more power than anticipated! Give thanks to God for the company who carried out the work carefully and professionally. Pray that the regular asset protection works carried out at the site will be effective. Sunday 9 February - Northholm Grammar School Year 7 are at CRU Lake Mac later this week. Pray that the students will enjoy the camp program and the planned activities. Also, pray for the CRU Educational Camps Team as they seek to love and teach the gospel to the students throughout this camp. Monday 10 February - Newington College Years 5 and 6 are on a CRU Educational Camp at CRU Lake Mac this week. Please pray that as the students participate in a bivouac program, and sleep out in tents, they will gain a greater appreciation for the outdoors and understand more about their Creator. Tuesday 11 February - St Philip’s Christian College Gosford Year 11 are with the CRU Educational Camps Team for their school camp in the city today. Pray for safety and logistics as the students and leaders embark on a city chase through the Sydney CBD. Pray that the students will be challenged to consider where they stand with God. Wednesday 12 February - St Philip’s Christian College Gosford Years 5-7 are at CRU Galston Gorge this week. Praise God for this opportunity and pray that the students will grow in their understanding of who God is and be inspired to live like Jesus after camp. Thursday 13 February - Pray for Jemma who attended Autumn Trails 2019. She said, “It was great learning about God and spending time with the horses.” Praise God for the way CRU Holiday Camps provide a fun environment with the opportunity for Christian teaching. Jemma indicated she was interested in attending a Christian school group after camp. Pray that she was able to attend a group and is still growing in her faith.
Friday 14 February - St Philip’s Christian College Gosford Year 8 are at CRU® Galston Gorge this week. Please pray for a safe hike to Crosslands Reserve and pray that there will be many opportunities for great conversations about Jesus. Saturday 15 February - Praise God for the new trainees who have joined the Summit Program this year. Thank God for His provision and pray that God will be using the trainees to glorify His name. With various staffing changes in the Summit Team, please pray that everyone in a new role will adjust quickly, understand their role, and that God will use them powerfully in their new positions. Pray that the whole team will remain joyful and united during these adjustments. Sunday 16 February - CRU Educational Camps is running the St Paul’s Grammar School Year 11 camp at CRU Lake Mac this week. Please pray for safety and good weather as the students complete various water activities such as kayaking, canoeing, sailing and surfing. Pray that the students will be curious to learn more about Jesus. Monday 17 February - The CRU Women’s Fellowship meets today for lunch and to pray for the work of CRU. Pray that these faithful prayer warriors will be encouraged as they hear how God is transforming young lives through CRU. Tuesday 18 February - Penrith Christian School Year 7 are on a CRU Educational Camp at CRU Galston Gorge this week. Thank God for the opportunity to run this brand new camp! Please pray that God will be glorified this week and that the students and teachers would enjoy the camp experience. Wednesday 19 February - Meriden Anglican School Year 7 are at CRU Lake Mac this week. Praise God for this new camp and program! Please pray for the busy camp program and for safety during the land and water expeditions. Also pray that great relationships will be formed during this camp. Thursday 20 February – Pray for Laura Harvey and Naomi Andrews as they begin the two-year associate program with the CRU Schools Ministry Team. Pray for them as they visit schools, lead on CRU Educational Camps and study at Cornhill. Give thanks for Jason Todd and Bailey Dodds who have also joined the CRU Schools Ministry Team this year. Pray that they will form good relationships with chaplains and teachers, and that they will share the truth of the Bible with many students in an approachable and relevant way.
Friday 21 February - Praise God for the recent summer camps season! It was full of fun, adventure, new friends, and saw hundreds of campers understanding more about Jesus. Pray that the campers would be keen to come back to a CRU Holiday Camp again. Pray for the upcoming autumn CRU Holiday Camps season, that many campers would attend the 12 holiday camps we have running. Saturday 22 February - Give thanks for the service of Rev Suz Gorham at Roseville College over recent years and pray for the newly appointed Chaplain as they start their work there. Give thanks for the CRU Groups in both the junior and secondary schools and pray for them during this time of transition. Sunday 23 February - Pray that the trusts and foundations CRU approaches for grant funding will look favourably upon our applications, so that funding can be achieved and facilities improved to further resource our ministry. Thank God for the funding we received from grant bodies in the past year. Monday 24 February - PLC Sydney Year 11 are at CRU Galston Gorge with the CRU Educational Camps Team this week. Pray that the leaders will be able to form great relationships with the students, making a way to have conversations about our great God! Pray that the students and teachers will enjoy their time at camp. Tuesday 25 February - Trinity Grammar Junior School Year 5 are at CRU Lake Mac this week. Please pray for great weather and happy campers so that the message of Jesus would be heard and received well when proclaimed on camp. Wednesday 26 February - Macarthur Anglican School Years 3 and 4 are on a CRU Educational Camp at CRU Galston Gorge this week. Please pray that the message of the gospel would be heard and understood by these young children and that the students will grow in their understanding of who Jesus is. Thursday 27 February - CRU Educational Camps is running a camp for Tara Anglican School for Girls Year 12 this week. Pray that throughout this study and leadership camp, the students will gain great skills and learn more about themselves, their peers, and Jesus. Friday 28 February - Pray for the CRU Holiday Camp directors as they plan their camps, recruit teams, and prepare for their camp in the upcoming camp season. Give thanks for those who are able to serve in this capacity, and for the gifts and talents that God’s Spirit has given them.
Saturday 29 February - Please pray for the Divisional Heads as they meet in the first quarter of the year. Give thanks for those whom God has called to serve CRU® in this way, and how God has equipped them for their roles. Please pray that Gary might lead this group of people well, that they might work in unity for the sake of the gospel.
MARCH Sunday 1 March - Give thanks for the junior CRU Group at Scone Grammar School and pray that more students from the younger years start attending. Pray for the Principal, Paul Smart, along with the rest of the staff, as they seek to teach and care for the students and their families during this ongoing drought. Monday 2 March – Thank God that the redevelopment work at CRU Lake Mac is well underway and that all key structures for Stage 1 are on track to be completed by the middle of this year. Praise God that a cabin and the boathouse were completed before the other structures in January 2020. Tuesday 3 March – Pray for Jess Seal as she talks to parents, caseworkers and campers in her role as Bookings Coordinator for CRU Holiday Camps. As she is often the first contact someone will have with CRU Holiday Camps, pray that she can answer all the questions she is asked, and provide people with the confidence to book their children on camp with us. Wednesday 4 March - Pray for Shore Preparatory School Years 3 and 4 who are with CRU Educational Camps this week. Pray that the leaders will model what it means to follow Jesus through their words and actions, and that the students will understand more about God’s love displayed in Jesus. Thursday 5 March - St Luke’s Grammar School Year 5 are on a CRU Educational Camp at CRU Lake Mac this week. Please pray for unity amongst the leaders and that they would be prayerful
during camp. As the students participate in the various water activities, please pray for safety and great weather. Friday 6 March - Pray for the CRU Group at Abbotsleigh School as they host the first Inter-CRU (inter-school CRU Groups event) of the year. Pray that many students will attend and be united in their excitement to see Christ proclaimed in their schools. Saturday 7 March - Praise God for the building work that is happening for the Lake Mac redevelopment. Please pray for CRU Educational Camps in the upcoming months as they continue to run camps alongside the construction site. Please pray that during this time, the team can continue to run effective camp programs and share the gospel with many students. Sunday 8 March - The CRU Schools Ministry Team will be running 9 Followers in Training (FIT) events over the next 3 weeks. Pray for Clare Wimble and the team as they encourage and equip students to lead like Jesus in their schools. Pray that through these events, God would grow the faith and leadership skills of students in Years 5 and 6. Pray for the schools that are hosting the FIT events: Meriden School, Norwest Christian School, St Catherine’s, Broughton Anglican College, Nowra Christian College, Burgmann Anglican College ACT and Thomas Hassall Anglican College. Monday 9 March - CRU Educational Camps will be running The Scots College Years 3-5 camps at CRU Galston Gorge and Lake Mac this week. Pray that the leaders will work well with the teachers, and that together, they will be able to create enjoyable camp experiences for the students. Pray that the leaders will be showing Jesus’ love to the students and teachers. Tuesday 10 March - Praise God for the growing CRU Group at Pacific Hills Junior School. Pray for the senior students who lead this group, that God would equip them as they serve and encourage their fellow students in faith and truth. Wednesday 11 March - Pray for Steph Semler in her role as Volunteer’s Coordinator for CRU Holiday Camps. Pray she will be effective in developing resources for leaders, liaising with directors, and processing leader registrations, as well as organising our VOLT (volunteer leader training) days each term. Thursday 12 March - CRU Educational Camps is running a camp for Northern Beaches Christian School at CRU Galston Gorge this week. Please pray for the hearts of these Year 5 students, that they would consider what it means to follow Jesus. Also pray that the students will enjoy participating in the various outdoor activities and that friendships will be strengthened.
Friday 13 March - Over 300 guests will be attending the CRU® Business Lunch today at NSW Parliament House. Pray that the guests will be encouraged and give generously as they hear how God has been working through CRU to bring many young people to faith on camps and in schools. Saturday 14 March - Give thanks for Liana Maze and Emma Pfahlert, and the teachers who support them in running the junior and senior lunchtime groups at Danebank Anglican School for Girls. Praise God for the large number of girls who enthusiastically attend the groups each week. Sunday 15 March - As we look to grow the CRU Lake Mac campsite team, please pray that God will provide the ideal candidates for the numerous roles that will enable us to manage the site well. Monday 16 March - Pray for the CRU Board as they meet tonight. Give thanks for the men and women who serve on the Board, and for their love of the gospel. Pray that the decisions they make will enable the gospel to be proclaimed through the work of CRU, that Jesus might be glorified. Tuesday 17 March - CRU Educational Camps is running a camp for St Philip’s Christian College Newcastle Year 3 at CRU Lake Mac this week! Praise God for these young people, and pray that as they engage in the activities and talks, they would grow in their love and knowledge of God. Wednesday 18 March – This week, Arden Anglican School Year 4 are at CRU Galston Gorge while Year 6 are at Lake Mac. As the students take part in various outdoor activities, pray that they will enjoy their time spent in God’s creation, and build good relationships with the leaders who are running their CRU Educational Camps. Thursday 19 March - Thank God for the CRU West Committee Chair, Scott Rowland, and the rest of the CRU West team. Pray that God will give Scott great wisdom and energy as he leads this ministry forward. Pray that God will continue to provide Godhonouring volunteers to support the ministry of CRU West as it continues to grow. Friday 20 March - Praise God that CRU Educational Camps is with St Catherine’s School Year 6 at CRU Galston Gorge this week. Please pray that the leaders would be filled with kindness and model a great camp culture in the way that they interact with the girls.
Pray also for St Catherine's School who are hosting the Eastern Suburbs Inter-CRU today (an inter-school CRU Groups event). Pray that the event will run smoothly, that the Bible talk will be clear, and that the students will enjoy their time together. Saturday 21 March - Pray for the CRU Educational Camps Team, that they will prioritise God in their personal lives, making time for quality Bible reading, reflection and prayer. Pray that this time is fruitful and that they are constantly learning and growing in the Lord. Sunday 22 March - Pray for the CRU Holiday Camps Team as they liaise with parents, caseworkers, campers and volunteers. Thank God for their gifts and skills in enabling so many camps to run each year, and for the opportunities the ministry brings in sharing Jesus with thousands of kids. Monday 23 March - Praise God for Chelsea* in Year 5 who, on her CRU Educational Camp, realised that she had never made the decision to follow Jesus for herself. She was so excited to pray with her leader and teacher to help her take that step. Pray that she will continue to grow closer to God at home and at school. Tuesday 24 March - Barker Pre-K to Year 1 day camp is happening today at their school. Pray that the CRU Educational Camp leaders will be filled with joy and enthusiasm as they run activities and share the gospel in a simple and clear way for this age group. Wednesday 25 March - CRU Educational Camps is running the Barker College Years 3 and 4 camp at CRU Galston Gorge this week. Praise God for such a large and exciting camp, with lots of opportunities for gospel conversations. Pray that the students on camp will have softened hearts and a thirst to learn more about our great God! Thursday 26 March - St Philip’s Christian College Newcastle Year 4 are on a CRU Educational Camp this week. Please pray that the students will enjoy spending time at CRU Lake Mac, completing many exciting outdoor activities. Friday 27 March - Pray for Shellharbour Anglican College as they host the second Inter-CRU in the Illawarra. Pray that the students who attended the first Inter-CRU in 2019 will be keen to return and invite their friends to this great afternoon of fellowship. Saturday 28 March - Pray that CRU’s various grant applications will be successful and allow us to install a new ‘Networking Hub’ at CRU Galston Gorge. The facility will provide both a location for activity briefing plus a recreation space to enable groups to relax in the camp community. *Name changed for confidentiality reasons
Sunday 29 March - Pray for a camper on Autumn Study 2, who said on their survey, “Camp was a great opportunity to study and form new friendships, while talking about Christianity in an inclusive and non-alienating way.” Pray that what they learned on camp would be carried into their life after school, and that they will have further opportunities to explore their faith. Pray that all campers, no matter their background, would feel loved and welcomed on camp. Monday 30 March - Praise God for the ongoing redevelopment happening at CRU® Lake Mac. Thank God for the new enquiries for CRU Educational Camps and guest bookings at the site. Pray that God would bring many people to enjoy the new site, and also to come and know Him. Tuesday 31 March - Oxford Falls Grammar School Year 11 is joining CRU Educaional Camps at CRU Galston Gorge for a leadership and study skills camp this week. Pray that the students will obtain great skills and experience personal growth, and apply their learnings back at school and at home.
APRIL Wednesday 1 April - Praise God for the opportunity the CRU Educational Camps Team have to run camp for Roseville College Year 5 at CRU Lake Mac this week. Please pray for good weather and safety as they participate in many water activities. Thursday 2 April - Please pray for Dr Tim Wright as he leads the CRU Board as Chair. Pray also for Helen Burgess (Deputy Chair) and Santino Dimarco (Treasurer). Give thanks for their love for the Lord Jesus, and the way this guides them in their hard work for CRU. Please pray that God will continue to grow them in their love for Christ and the gospel of grace. Friday 3 April - Praise God for Jess*, in Year 10, who came on a CRU Educational Camp and was really impacted by one of the *Name changed for confidentiality reasons

Saturday 4 April - Pray for the VOLT (volunteer leaders training) event happening today. This is a valuable opportunity for autumn CRU Holiday Camp leaders to gather together, hear about the bigger vision of CRU Holiday Camps, and learn valuable skills to use on camp. Sunday 5 April - Give thanks for Juliana Whiteman who has faithfully run the senior CRU Group at Ravenswood for many years. Pray the girls who attend will be encouraged to stand up for Jesus in their faith. Pray also that the girls in the junior CRU Group will grow to love Jesus more and more. Monday 6 April - Calrossy Anglican School Year 7 are on a CRU Educational Camp at CRU Lake Mac this week. As the students participate in various activities, please pray for many opportunities to have fruitful conversations, and that the students will have hearts that seek to learn more. Tuesday 7 April - Please pray for the students in Belmont Christian College Year 7 who are at CRU Galston Gorge this week with CRU Educational Camps. Pray that the team will be prayerful throughout the camp, and seek to serve God and bring Him glory in all they do. Pray that the students will be growing in confidence as they participate in the various activities. Wednesday 8 April - Belmont Christian College Year 8 are joining the CRU Educational Camps for their school camp. Please pray for safety as they hike and sleep in tents, and pray that the logistics and camp program will run smoothly. Pray also that many fruitful conversations will be had during the hikes. Thursday 9 April - Covenant Christian School Year 7 are at CRU Lake Mac this week with CRU Educational Camps. Praise God for the opportunity to be out on the water and surrounded by God’s creation. Pray that as a result of camp, the students who attend will grow in their faith and seek to live wholly for Christ. Friday 10 April - Please pray for those who give talks at CRU Holiday Camps. Give thanks for the gift of preaching and teaching that God has given them, and that they choose to use that gift at CRU Holiday Camps. As they give talks for different age groups, pray that their talks would be engaging, relevant and faithful.
Saturday 11 April - Please pray for CRU® Quest, WA’s holiday camp running next week. Pray that God’s Word will be clearly proclaimed, and that God’s Spirit will open hearts to hear it. Pray that God will strengthen the leaders in great godliness, humility and servant-heartedness. Sunday 12 April - Please pray for On Two Wheels which is running in the autumn season for the first time. Pray that many kids will attend and have a great time riding the bikes in the milder weather. Pray that the campers would ask many questions and grow in their understanding of who Jesus is. Monday 13 April - Give thanks for Autumn Study 1 at CRU Galston Gorge this week. Pray that the Year 12 students will be able to get a good head start on their HSC and IB study, and develop good study habits to help them through the rest of the year. Pray that the discussion groups would be a great time for students to ask questions and receive faithful answers. Tuesday 14 April - CRU Pulse Day Camp is happening at Rouse Hill Anglican College this week. Praise God for the fantastic opportunity to partner with this school. Pray for the junior leaders on this camp, that they will be bold, learn great leadership skills, and draw near to God while they serve on this camp. Wednesday 15 April - Pray for a fun and safe time on Pumped at CRU Lake Mac this week, especially as the campers spend time on the water. Give thanks for Emma Duggan and the team of volunteer leaders, and pray for them as they seek to know and look after all the campers. Thursday 16 April - Give thanks that we are able to add another Brightwaters camp to the year, now running in autumn as well. Praise God for the amazing network of leaders who serve on this camp which has allowed it to flourish. Thank God that this additional camp allows us to reach more kids for Christ, and praise Him for the great community on camp. Friday 17 April - Praise God for Autumn Trails. Pray that the girls who attend this camp will have a fantastic week of sisterhood and friendship, while having the opportunity to hear more about Jesus. Please pray for safety as they ride horses during the camp. Saturday 18 April - Give thanks for Destination QLD. Praise God for the opportunity we have to take a group of campers to explore the Gold Coast theme parks. Pray for great gospel conversations and new friendships, especially on the long bus ride to and from QLD.
Sunday 19 April - Please pray for Autumn Study 2, that many students will attend this camp and be encouraged to consider the claims of Christ. Pray that the Year 12 students will be productive in their studies, and that the skills learnt on camp will prepare them for a great year ahead. Monday 20 April - Give thanks for Club Mac at CRU Lake Mac this week. Please pray that the campers will have a great time out on the water, have fun participating in all the different activities, and that there will be great friendships made on the camp. Pray that the campers will recognise God’s love for them and be open to chatting about what Jesus means for them. Tuesday 21 April - Please pray for safety on Dirtbike, as the campers ride the bikes, and thank God for the mechanics who work so hard to keep the bikes in good condition. Pray for the talks, that they will engage the campers and initiate some great discussion. Wednesday 22 April - Praise God for the team on Aussie Adventure and the way they provide the campers with a great experience every time. Please pray for great weather as the campers enjoy some Aussie bush adventures. Thursday 23 April - Pray for Autumn Adventure at CRU Galston Gorge this week, that the campers will enjoy all the planned activities and make new friends. Pray also that the talks, discussion groups, and interactions with leaders will be fruitful and God-glorifying. Friday 24 April - Praise God for Sarah*, in Year 7, who came on a CRU Educational Camp. She joyfully shared all about what she had been reading in her Bible throughout the past year since receiving one on her Year 6 CRU Educational Camp the year before. Throughout camp, she was so keen to continue to dig deep into the Word. At the end of camp, she even asked for a devotion to help her continue her reading and understanding of the Bible! Please pray that she will continue to grow in her relationship with God. Saturday 25 April – Give thanks for CRU’s awesome volunteers who generously give their time and resources to come to the office and help out with our many fundraising activities. Praise God for their willingness to help, and for their encouragement to us. We are so grateful for them! *Name changed for confidentiality reasons
Sunday 26 April – Give thanks for Macarthur Anglican School and the 15 student leaders who lead the various CRU® Groups across the school each week. Monday 27 April - Give thanks for the work of Jim Dayhew, the chaplain at Thomas Hassall Anglican College, and his work in reaching new students in the senior school. Pray that God would be moving in the hearts of the students in the senior school. Tuesday 28 April - Pray for Nigel Vaux, CRU Schools Ministry Worker, as he directs and plans for this year's CrossTrain camp. Pray that students will be eager to attend and grow in their Christian leadership. Pray for the Schools Ministry Team as they prepare to equip the student leaders with Bible knowledge and Christian leadership skills. Wednesday 29 April - Shire Christian School Year 10 are on a CRU Educational Camp at CRU Galston Gorge this week. Please pray that camp will run smoothly, and that the leaders will work together well and serve God faithfully throughout camp. Thursday 30 April - Praise God for the opportunity to have Kuyper Christian School Year 7 and 8 at CRU Lake Mac this week. Please pray that the CRU Educational Camp leaders will be great examples of Christ, that camp will run smoothly, and that the students on camp will have a really fun camp experience.
MAY Friday 1 May - Praise God for Matthew*, in Year 3, who attended a CRU Educational Camp. After his second discussion group, Matthew asked his leader for a Bible. Once he received the Bible he jumped up in the sky, pumped his fist in the air, and shouted “YES!” Praise God for Matthew’s enthusiasm for the Word, and pray that he will use this Bible to gain a greater understanding of God. *Name changed for confidentiality reasons

Saturday 2 May - Pray for Dan Perrott as he works on the new CRUŽ Group resources for 2021. Please pray for creativity for activity ideas, and wisdom for creating lessons that are relevant and faithful to the Bible. Sunday 3 May - Give thanks for the men and women who serve on the many Board Committees. Praise God for their love of Jesus and their desire to make Him known. Pray that they might continue to lead CRU well, and engage thoughtfully and prayerfully with all the challenges and opportunities that arise. Monday 4 May - Calrossy Anglican School Year 8 is having their CRU Educational Camp at CRU Lake Mac this week. Praise God for this new booking and new camp program. Please pray for a smooth camp and that the students will leave with a greater understanding of God. Tuesday 5 May - Praise God for the students who meet each week in the junior and senior lunchtime groups at SCEGGS. Please pray that they will be bold in inviting their friends to the group and that many girls will come to put their trust in Jesus. Wednesday 6 May - William Carey Christian School Year 11 will be at CRU Galston Gorge for a leadership and study skills camp with CRU Educational Camps this week. Please pray that the students will be well equipped for their final years of high school and pray that camp will help them grow in their faith. Thursday 7 May - Praise God for Laura*, in Year 5, and how she was reminded of how faithful and amazing God is while on camp. At the end of camp, Laura was so keen to continue to chat to her leader and her friends about how great God is. Laura decided to recommit her life to Jesus on camp! Friday 8 May - Give thanks for the strong student leaders at Knox Grammar who faithfully run the CRU Group each week. Pray that the boys attending will grow in their faith and be bold in inviting friends to the group. Saturday 9 May - Please pray for CRU’s senior management team as it meets each month. Pray that God will give Gary wisdom as he leads these men and women. Pray also that God will sustain each of these men and women in their roles, and that they might depend on God in all things. Sunday 10 May - Please give thanks for the staff, camp leaders, and teachers who have adapted to the major changes that are occurring at the Lake Mac campsite. Monday 11 May - Please pray for CRU West’s Annual Partnership Dinner being hosted tonight. Pray that God will give those who attend a great enthusiasm for the vision of CRU West, and pray they will give generously to this ministry. Pray that God will give wisdom to those who will steward any funds raised, that these funds may enable more WA school children to discover the good news of Jesus. Tuesday 12 May - Pray for Phil Rawnsley as he leads the CRU Holiday Camps division. Give thanks for his skills in leadership as he makes decisions and works with camp directors to ensure every CRU Holiday Camp is run to the highest standard. Wednesday 13 May - St Peter’s Anglican Primary School Year 12 are holding a CRU Educational Day Camp at their school this Friday. Pray that relationships between the leaders and students will form quickly during this short camp, and that the program will run smoothly throughout the day. Thursday 14 May - Pray for our EOFY appeal which will be delivered to CRU supporters in May and June. Please ask that those who receive it will be generous in their support, so that more young people can hear the good news of Jesus. Friday 15 May - The CRU Schools Ministry Team are hosting CRU Teachers' Conference 2020 today. Pray for the chaplains and teachers who have travelled from across Australia to attend the conference, that they will be deeply encouraged by God's Word and each other. As they gather together and participate in the think tanks and workshops, pray that they will be spurred on to continue their great work in their lunchtime groups and other ministries at their schools. Saturday 16 May - Praise God for Anna Burke, Director of Fundraising. Praise God for Anna’s faithful commitment to CRU’s vision for more than 20 years. Pray that God will sustain her in raising the funds needed to reach young people with the gospel. Sunday 17 May - Praise God for the senior leaders at Brindabella Christian College who faithfully run the CRU Groups throughout the year. Ask that God would continue to raise up faithful leaders, to encourage and grow other students in their faith.
