SEPTEMBER Sunday 1 September - Please pray for the Crusader Board as they meet tomorrow. Give thanks for the men and women who serve on the Crusader Board, who are united in the vision of sharing Jesus with a new generation. Pray that they will communicate effectively and make wise and God-glorifying decisions as they lead CRU®. Monday 2 September - Followers in Training (FIT), a leadership training event for Year 5 and 6 students, is happening at Meriden School today and Shellharbour Anglican College tomorrow. Pray that the students will learn new and creative ways to serve others in their CRU Groups and schools, and be encouraged to live more like Jesus. Tuesday 3 September - Praise God for the opportunity to run a Summit Camp for Mary Immaculate School for the first time. Pray that the Year 6 camp at Galston will run smoothly, that the teachers will have a positive experience, and that the school will be excited to book another camp with us. Wednesday 4 September - Thank God for the incredible generosity of the CRU community in supporting the End of Financial Year Tax Appeal. Praise God that the $19m community fundraising goal for Stage 1 of the Lake Mac Redevelopment has been achieved. These funds will help an extra 20,000 campers each year hear the life-saving message of the gospel at the new Lake Mac. Thursday 5 September - St Peter’s Anglican Primary School Year 5 are on their last day of camp with Summit today. Pray for safety during the activities and that the students would be able to step outside their comfort zone, learn a lot through their camp experiences and be challenged in their knowledge of God. St Philip’s Christian College Gosford are at Galston with their Year 3 and 4 students. Please pray that the campers would be keen to hear from the Summit leaders, particularly during Christian Discovery time.
Friday 6 September - Thomas Hassall Anglican College is hosting FIT today. Pray that the students will learn how to be welcoming to newcomers who visit their CRU Groups. Oxford Falls Grammar School Year 3 and Trinity Christian School Year 4 are with Summit for their school camps. Pray that everyone will be energetic and excited to be on camp, that the students will enjoy the activities, and that the message of Jesus will be boldly proclaimed. Saturday 7 September - Pray for VOLT Spring, a camp leader training event, which will take place on 14th September. Pray that many volunteers will come along to be trained and that really practical information about camp leading will be provided to help the leaders share Jesus and connect with campers. Sunday 8 September - The Crusader Women’s Fellowship will be meeting tomorrow to pray for the work of CRU. Praise God for these faithful supporters who give up their time to pray for specific needs at CRU. Monday 9 September - Summit is on camp with Trinity Grammar School (Summer Hill) Years 3 and 4 at Galston this week. Praise God for the great opportunity to build relationships with these boys. Pray that they will have an enjoyable time exploring God’s creation together. Tuesday 10 September - Praise God for the opportunity Summit has to run camp for Arndell Anglican College Year 5 at Lake Mac this week. Please pray that God will provide the leaders with spiritual wisdom and guidance as they lead these young students and that the students will enjoy the activities on camp. Wednesday 11 September - Praise God that Summit has the opportunity to run camp for Oxford Falls Grammar School Years 4 and 5 this week. Pray that the leaders would show Christ’s love as they care for these young campers and that the team would lead with enthusiasm and excitement, ready to serve the campers, teachers and other staff. Thursday 12 September - Praise God for Arndell Anglican College Year 6 camp happening at Lake Mac this week. Pray that the camp director will lead the team well and that the camp leaders will submit everything to God in prayer. Friday 13 September - Rouse Hill Anglican College Year 4 are at Galston with Summit today. Pray that the staff would be a great example of lives lived for Christ and that the students would enjoy participating in the camp activities.
Saturday 14 September - Summit is running a Dads and Kids Camp for Claremont College this weekend. Please pray that this large camp runs smoothly and thank Him for the opportunity that these children have to spend a weekend with their dads – pray that this will be a fruitful time. Sunday 15 September - Pray for the CRU® Camps Team as they coordinate and finalise camp administration for the upcoming spring camps season. Thank God for their hard work and dedication to making CRU Camps an exceptional service, season after season. Monday 16 September - Praise God for Victoria*, in Year 6, who learnt so much about God on her Summit school camp. After a few days of learning about what it means to be a Christian, she decided to follow Christ for the first time! Praise God for the opportunity to give her a Bible and a devotion to help in her Christian walk after camp. Tuesday 17 September - Please pray for CRU West’s Spring Leadership Camp in October. Pray that God will raise up many students to come on camp to be built up and trained in the Word of God, and that He’d start softening their hearts for what He is going to do in and through their lives for that week and beyond. Pray also that God will guide the thoughts and preparations of the speaker, directors and leaders in the lead up to camp. Wednesday 18 September - Praise God for the businessmen and women meeting at the QVB this morning for the annual Crusader Business Breakfast. Pray that each person would be encouraged by the stories of young lives being reached with the gospel through CRU’s school and camping ministries. Please pray that God would prompt the attendees to give generously so that more young people can be reached with the hope of Jesus. Summit is running a day camp at Rouse Hill Anglican College Year 3 today. Praise God for this opportunity and pray that relationships between the students and leaders will form quickly. Thursday 19 September - Mosman Preparatory School Year 3 are at Lake Mac with Summit this week. Please pray that the leaders would have many opportunities to share their faith with the boys, would care for them well, and that the students would have an enjoyable time on camp. Friday 20 September - Pacific Hills Christian School are at Galston with Summit this week. Pray that these Year 3 students will have an exciting camp where they have the opportunity to learn more about themselves, their classmates and the God of all creation. Trinity Grammar School are heading to Galston with Summit this week. Pray that the Year 3 students will enjoy getting *Name changed for confidentiality reasons
to know our leaders and our great God. St Philip’s Christian College Dale Campus is joining Summit for a City Adventure Camp. Please pray for safety as they travel, and for the students to have a great time while they explore the city and get to know each other better. Saturday 21 September - Praise God for Linda Newman, CRU’s Fundraising Manager, who has been working tirelessly in the Fundraising Team for over 15 years. Linda’s hard work, and her understanding of all things CRU, is invaluable. Sunday 22 September - Thank God for the great generosity of those who attended the CRU West Partnership Dinner that was held in May, and give thanks that the fundraising target for this event was exceeded. Please pray that our funding would allow us to expand our ministry in Western Australia. Monday 23 September - St Luke’s Grammar School Year 3 are at Galston this week. Pray for the Summit Team, that relationships with the students would form and grow over the next few years as the students return for other camps. Pray that the students will be motivated by the energy and enthusiasm displayed by the leaders who they spend time with. Tuesday 24 September - Greenacre Baptist Christian Community School Year 3 and 4 are joining Summit at Galston this week. Please pray for great weather and for the students to step outside their comfort zone as they participate in various activities. Pray that the students would also be encouraged to learn more about who God is. Wednesday 25 September - Summit is running camps for St Mark’s Coptic Orthodox College Year 8 at Galston and Year 10 at Lake Mac this week. Pray that the students would enjoy participating in the outdoor activities, that the leaders will be great examples of Christlikeness, and that God will provide many opportunities for great discussion throughout the week. Thursday 26 September - St Luke’s Grammar School Year 4 are with Summit for their school camp this week. Thank God for this great opportunity to spend time with the teachers and students from this school and pray that the students will enjoy all the planned activities. Pray that students will respond positively to hearing about Jesus and for opportunities to hand out devotions to students who are keen to continue their Bible reading after camp. Friday 27 September - Praise God that the Summit Team are able to run a camp for Trinity Christian School Year 4 this week. Please pray that this is a time where students will build stronger connections and friendships as they participate in fun activities and share new experiences with each other.
Saturday 28 September - As the spring CRU® Camp season begins, please pray for Last Chance Study A being held at Galston this week. On this large camp, Year 12 students will be fitting in any last-minute study before their final written exams in October. Pray that God would grant the students peace and confidence during this potentially stressful time. Sunday 29 September - Pray for the Year 12 students on Last Chance Study B this week. Give thanks for the way CRU Study Camps give students perspective on life after high school and help them consider things that matter for eternity. Pray that the students will be productive as they finalise their Year 12 study. Monday 30 September - Praise God for Splash and the fun outdoor activities that campers can enjoy at Lake Mac this week. Pray for great weather and many opportunities for gospel conversations while sailing on the lake.
OCTOBER Tuesday 1 October - Give thanks for Brightwaters Spring and the way this CRU Camp continues to grow season after season. Thank God for the camp’s volunteer leaders and how they faithfully serve in the lead up to, during, and after camp. Pray for fun and safety on the water as the campers enjoy God’s beautiful creation. Wednesday 2 October - Pray for the students attending CrossTrain this week. Pray that on this leadership training camp, God will challenge them from His Word, grow them in their faith, and inspire them to serve in their CRU Groups and schools. Pray for Ben Staunton as he speaks about our unshakeable God and pray for Nigel Vaux as he directs the camp. Thursday 3 October - Pray for CRU Craze Day Camp at Arden this week. As they have a great week on camp with new friends and lots of fun activities, pray that they will also understand who Jesus is and what He has done for them.
Friday 4 October - Pray for schools in WA that are without a Christian lunchtime group. Pray that the Christian students in these schools will have opportunities to meet and encourage each other from the Bible and in prayer. Ask that God will raise up people who will be godly witnesses and shine His light into these schools, and pray that CRU West would be able to support the work that God begins to do in these schools. Saturday 5 October - Give thanks for Last Chance Study C at Galston this week. Pray that God will use the talks on this Study Camp to encourage students to investigate the claims of Jesus and keep life in perspective. Pray that these Year 12 students will feel confident and calm as they begin their final written exams soon. Sunday 6 October - Thank God for the valuable study that the Year 12 students will do on Last Chance Study D this week. Pray that God would work through encouraging conversations on camp and that the students will be moved to explore who Jesus is. Monday 7 October - Praise God for another year of Mac Time, a CRU Camp being held at the stunning Lake Mac. Give thanks for Bonnie and Brooke’s work in creating a great camp program. Pray the campers will be enthusiastic to participate in all the planned activities and will be attentive during the Bible talks. Tuesday 8 October - CRU Camp’s Frantik will be held at a new campsite this year. Pray for the smooth running and logistics at this campsite so that the campers will have an enjoyable time as they participate in all the activities. Pray that God would be preparing the hearts of the campers as they hear about who Jesus is during the week. Wednesday 9 October - Praise God for His provision in allowing CRU West’s 3rd Spring Leadership Camp to run this week. Pray that the Bible will be taught faithfully, that the leaders will be humble and Christlike as they serve on camp, and that the campers will grow in their personal faith and in godly leadership. Thursday 10 October - Praise God for CRU Bolt Day Camp at The King’s School this week. Pray for great creativity for the leaders as they run activities and talks, and pray that God would be working in the hearts of campers to investigate more about what Jesus has done on the cross. Friday 11 October - Pray for CRU Coast Day Camp, a new camp that was held at Gosford this week. Pray for the strengthening of partnerships with churches in the area so that follow up after camp will be effective. Pray that God will keep working through CRU to reach kids in this location.
Saturday 12 October - Thank God for the protection of the Properties team at Galston as they undertake numerous projects and pray for continued safety as the team continues to perform the various tasks needed to run and maintain the site. Also pray for continued diligence for the catering team as they serve thousands of meals to guests with varying dietary needs. Sunday 13 October - Please pray for James Carroll as he recruits the January intake of Summit trainees. As he interviews the applicants, please pray that God will fill him with the wisdom and discernment he needs for the hiring process. Monday 14 October - Please pray for the Crusader Board as they meet tonight. Give thanks for the men and women who serve on the Board, and for their love of the Lord Jesus. Pray that they might continue to lead CRUŽ well, and engage thoughtfully and prayerfully with all the challenges and opportunities that arise. Tuesday 15 October - Please give thanks for the opportunity to install solar panels at our Galston campsite. As we exercise good stewardship of environmental resources, please pray that the panels will continue to function to their maximum capacity to help ensure our electricity bills are as low as possible each month. Wednesday 16 October - Please pray for St Peter’s Anglican Primary School Year 4 as they join the Summit Team at Lake Mac this week. Pray for great weather so that the students can enjoy the outdoor activities, and pray that all the logistics of camp will run smoothly. Ask that God will be helping the students understand who He is and know of His great love for them. Thursday 17 October - Praise God for Tara*, in Year 12, who showed great interest in the talks and discussion groups while on camp. At the end of camp, she told her leader that she enjoyed the Christian Discovery sessions and learnt a lot. She also shared that she was interested in investigating Christianity further and exploring the idea of Christian faith for herself. Praise God! Friday 18 October - Thank God for our CRU West Staff Worker, Sheridan Raston, and our CRU West Ministry Assistant, Hannah Killow. Please pray that they will grow in Christlikeness as they faithfully carry out the work of CRU in Perth, and pray that He will continue to sustain them in their roles. Saturday 19 October - Please pray for Gary Hill, Matt Seidl, Nigel Glasby, and others as they oversee the redevelopment of Lake Mac. Pray that God might give them great wisdom in decision-

making for the project. Give great praise to God who has brought the project this far, and pray that He might bring Stage 1 to completion in 2020. Sunday 20 October - Praise God for the various skills in outdoor recreation and facilitation that the Summit trainees are able to achieve through their Training Program. Please pray that they will continue to grow in these skills and that they will not only help the trainees run great school camps, but also be useful in other areas of life. Monday 21 October - Praise God for the new CRU Group that has started at Belmont Christian Junior School. Please pray that God will sustain it and that many more students will attend and be encouraged as they study the Bible together. Tuesday 22 October - Praise God for the students and teachers involved in starting the senior CRU Group at Calderwood Christian School. Pray that God will guide them as they meet together and that He will raise up many more CRU Group leaders who are passionate about seeing the gospel flourish throughout their school. Wednesday 23 October - Please pray for Rouse Hill Anglican College Year 5 who are on camp with Summit at Lake Mac this week. Pray for safety as they sail and participate in various water and land activities. Ask that God will provide many opportunities for thought-provoking gospel conversations and that the students would be challenged to grow in their knowledge of His character. Thursday 24 October - Give thanks for Howard Petts and Emily Thuaux who lead the CRU Groups at Nowra Christian School. Pray for the students who enthusiastically attend each week, that they would continue being excited to learn more about Jesus and have fellowship with each other. Friday 25 October - CRU Wills Days will be happening today and tomorrow. Supporters will have the opportunity to have their Will updated or written for free. Give thanks for the solicitors donating their time and pray that many will take up the offer. Give thanks for those who prayerfully decide to leave a gift in their Will to support CRU in the long-term. Saturday 26 October - CRU Ball, a night to thank our volunteers and celebrate all God has done through CRU Camps, is happening tonight. Thank God for His sovereignty in allowing CRU Camps to run every year, and give great thanks for the hundreds of volunteer leaders who sacrifice their time and energy to make CRU Camps happen.
Sunday 27 October - Danebank Anglican School for Girls Years 3-6 are with Summit at Galston for a Mother and Daughter Camp. Pray that the mothers and daughters who attend the camp will enjoy spending time together as they participate in various activities. Monday 28 October - Thank God for the work done by Dan Perrott in writing and designing the new CRUÂŽ Groups resource. Pray that the resource on Colossians will aid the leaders in making the book an effective and engaging teaching series for lunchtime groups. Tuesday 29 October - Meriden School Year 5 are with Summit this week. Pray that the Summit leaders will work and communicate well with the teachers, that the students will have a great time completing activities together, and that many students will be curious to learn more about Jesus. Wednesday 30 October - Please pray for the girls in Meriden School Years 3 and 4 at Galston, and Year 6 at Lake Mac. Pray for the Summit leaders as they lead discussion groups, that God will provide them with wisdom in answering difficult questions and that He will be working in the hearts of the students. Pray for great weather as the students enjoy all the outdoor activities on camp. Thursday 31 October - Meriden School Year 2 are at Galston for a day camp with Summit today. Pray that the students would be eager to participate in all the activities and that the Summit leaders would be clear in explaining who Jesus is.
NOVEMBER Friday 1 November - Praise God for the senior lunchtime group at Sydney Grammar. Give thanks that the boys faithfully attend each week and find great encouragement from studying the Bible and praying together. Pray that each student would stand firm in their faith and be a great witness to their friends at school. Saturday 2 November - Thank God for the volunteer members of the Lake Mac Fundraising Committee, led by David Braga as Chair. Thank God for their service and expertise in steering the Lake Mac Fundraising campaign since September 2017. Sunday 3 November - Pray for the CRU Fundraising Team as they continue to prepare reports for the various grants that have been won for the Lake Mac Redevelopment Project. When liaising with the Government and private grant bodies, pray that we will clearly and effectively communicate the benefit that their support will make on the project. Monday 4 November - Scots All Saints College Year 6 is at Lake Mac with the Summit Team this week. Thank God for the opportunity to run this new camp program and serve the students and teachers at this school. Pray for safety as the students enjoy all the planned activities, especially while on the water. Tuesday 5 November - Please pray for the Divisional Heads as they meet on the 7th and 8th November. Give thanks for those God has called to serve CRU in this way, and how God has equipped them for their roles. Pray that they might make wise decisions as they lead CRU. Wednesday 6 November - Claremont College Years 3-5 are running their camps with Summit this week. Pray that the students will be enthusiastic and eager to participate in the programs. Please pray for the leaders, that they will be full of patience and show Christ’s love in their interactions with the students and teachers.
Thursday 7 November - Praise God for the opportunity to run so many Summit school camps with Claremont College. Pray for strengthened relationships between leaders, teachers and students. Please pray for the students attending the Year 6 camp at Lake Mac this week. Pray that they would be challenged to grow in their knowledge and faith in Christ. Friday 8 November - Praise God for the opportunity to run the school camp for New Hope School Years 3-12 at Galston this week. Please pray for the Summit leaders as they love and care for these students with additional needs. Saturday 9 November - Praise God for His provision for both the Lake Mac Redevelopment Project and CRU’s operational needs in the past year. Please pray that He will provide the funds we need to sustain CRU’s key ministry areas for the remainder of this year and in 2020. Sunday 10 November - Please pray for the Summit trainees during Term 4 as they complete all their training assignments and assessments for their Certificate II, III and IV. Pray that this may be a smooth and stress-free process and a time where they are reminded of God’s sovereignty. Monday 11 November - Please pray for the construction happening at our Lake Mac campsite as the redevelopment takes place. Please pray that during this time, Summit will continue to run exceptional school camps. Pray there will be minimal impact on the camp programs and that they will continue to present the gospel effectively. Tuesday 12 November - The Summit Team will be with Burgmann Anglican School Year 7 at Lake Mac this week. Pray that the students would be able to understand who Jesus is and be challenged to live as great witnesses for Him. Pray that the students would enjoy spending time at the lake as they participate in various activities. Wednesday 13 November - Burgmann Anglican School Year 6 are on camp with Summit for the remainder of this week. Pray that the students will be challenged to live for God and be struck by His love for them. Pray that the Summit leaders will bring much glory to God while they serve on this camp. Thursday 14 November - Pray for Burgmann Anglican School Year 8 who are at Galston this week. Pray for safety as the Summit Team leads them on a hike, a campout, and other activities. Pray that the leaders will be bold in asking thoughtprovoking questions during the discussion groups and conversations on this camp.
Friday 15 November - Pray for the many students who will be gathering from all over Sydney at today’s Mega-CRU® (an interschool CRU Groups event). Pray that they will be encouraged and spurred on in their faith to live for Jesus at their school. CRU West’s final Inter-CRU for the year will also be held today. Please pray that those who attend will be encouraged by the fellowship with other Christian students and be built up in their faith. Saturday 16 November - We are looking to grow the Summit Team and the number of camps we can run across our sites, especially with the anticipated growth of the new Lake Mac. Ask that God will bring many suitable and passionate applicants to apply for the January intake of Summit’s Ministry Training Program. Sunday 17 November - Give thanks to God for Gary Hill and the 26 years he has led CRU. Pray that God will continue to uphold him in this work and grant him physical and spiritual health as he leads the organisation. Pray that God will grant him great wisdom and time management as he undertakes the variety of tasks laid before him. Monday 18 November - The boys from Barker College Year 5 are joining the Summit Team for a leadership camp this month. Pray that the boys will grow in their knowledge and learn practical leadership skills to use in their roles at school. Tuesday 19 November - Give thanks for the passion and work of the chaplaincy team at Kambala. Pray that God will continue to work through them and inspire students to have faith in Him. Wednesday 20 November - Please pray for the students in St Paul’s Grammar School Year 3 who are on their school camp at Galston this week. As this will be their first camp with Summit, pray that they will enjoy their time with the leaders and grow in their understanding of the gospel. Thursday 21 November - St Paul’s Grammar School Year 5 are at Lake Mac with Summit this week. Pray for the students, that they will gain a new appreciation of the outdoors and of God’s amazing creation - especially through activities such as fishing and sailing. Friday 22 November - Greenpoint Christian College Year 10 are with the Summit Team for a City Adventure Camp this week. Pray for safety as the large number of students travel around the city and pray that God would grant the leaders wisdom in arranging the logistics of this camp. Saturday 23 November - Praise God that each week, over 60 students meet at The King’s Junior School lunchtime group. Pray that he students who attend the CRU® Group will continue to stand firm in their faith and live boldly as Christians in their school. Sunday 24 November - Praise God for Jonnie*, in Year 6, who didn’t think he would be able to participate in abseiling, but agreed to just look over the edge. Through the encouragement of the Summit leaders, Jonnie ended up abseiling down the wall and even came back up for a second turn! Praise God for the way He helps these campers step outside their comfort zone and overcome their fears. Monday 25 November - Please pray for the camps that are scheduled to run during the remainder of the Lake Mac Redevelopment. Pray that the campers will continue to have fun and enjoy their time at Lake Mac, and that they will respond positively to the gospel. Please also pray for the safety of the workers involved in the redevelopment project. Tuesday 26 November - Praise God that on a Study Camp survey, a camper wrote that they grew in their faith because they “got to ask questions and received good Bible-based answers.” Praise God for campers like these, that they are an encouragement to the leaders who open the Word and share it faithfully with the campers. Wednesday 27 November - Shellharbour Anglican College Year 8 are joining Summit at Galston this week. Pray for safety, great weather, and many gospel conversations as they hike along the Great North Walk and camp at Crosslands Reserve. Thursday 28 November - Praise God for the opportunity to run a camp for Lakes Grammar Year 3 for the first time at Lake Mac. Please pray that the students and teachers will feel welcomed and comfortable with the Summit leaders, and that they will have a greater understanding of who God is. Friday 29 November - Charlotte on CRU Quest (a holiday camp in WA) said, “It [camp] answered my questions about everything and helped me study Jesus more. I feel more encouraged in telling my friends about God.” Pray that more campers, like Charlotte, would go home and talk to their friends and family *Name changed for confidentiality reasons
about what they learnt on camp and they too might put their trust in Jesus. Saturday 30 November - Praise God for the junior leaders at Arden’s CRU Group. They love coming to Followers in Training (FIT) events, growing as leaders, and sharing Jesus with their friends in their school.
DECEMBER Sunday 1 December - Pray for the CRU Camps Team as they organise camps, recruit directors and teams for camps, talk to parents and coordinate bookings. Pray especially for Phil Rawnsley, the Director of CRU Camps, as he leads the team and visits many camps over the summer camp season. Pray that he will connect with directors and encourage volunteers as they serve on camp. Monday 2 December - Please pray for the Crusader Board as they meet tonight. Please pray for Dr Tim Wright as he leads the Crusader Board as Chair. Pray also for Helen Burgess (Deputy Chair) and Santino Dimarco (Treasurer). Give thanks for their love for the gospel of Jesus, and the way this guides them in their hard work for CRU. Please pray that God will keep them standing firm in their faith as they serve Him. Tuesday 3 December - Shore Preparatory School Year 5 are joining the Summit Team for a school camp at Lake Mac this week. Pray for great weather and for safety as the students spend time on the water. Pray that the Summit leaders will be great models of Christ’s love and that relationships with the students and teachers will be built throughout camp. Wednesday 4 December - Please pray for the boys from Shore Preparatory School Year 6. As they end their school year with a Summit Camp at Galston, pray that the boys will be well behaved and be eager to participate in the activities. Pray that they would be attentive during talks and that God will help them understand the gospel.
Thursday 5 December - The CRUŽ Thanksgiving Service is happening tonight. Even if you are unable to attend in person, please join us in prayer in thanking God for the work He’s done in and through CRU in 2019. Friday 6 December - Praise God for the Galston Property and Development Committee and for the work they do in ensuring that the site continues to be maintained and developed to meet the needs of its clientele. Thank God for David Attenborough who sacrificially serves this committee as Chair. Saturday 7 December - Please pray that the building works at Lake Mac will continue to remain on track and thank God for His hand over the work completed so far. Pray that the site staff will continue to provide a great experience for all guests as the redevelopment progresses. Sunday 8 December - Pray for the Galston campsite, that God will continue to grant guest bookings for the coming year. Pray that God would give the Bookings Team great wisdom as they approach clients and propose our facilities and services for their camps. Monday 9 December - Pray for Meg Anderson and Emily Braga as they direct Christmas Capers this week. Give thanks for the young directors who volunteer with CRU and the way they are stepping up to lead amazing, God-glorifying camps. Tuesday 10 December - Pray for the boys on Game Zone this week. Pray that the campers will connect with each other, build great relationships with the leaders, and enjoy all the indoor and outdoor activities. Pray that many campers would be curious to find out more about Jesus. Wednesday 11 December - Pray for Sail Mania, a popular CRU Camp held every summer. Give thanks for the young people who are on camp this year and pray that they will enjoy the week of sailing with the CRU leaders. Pray that God will prepare the hearts of the campers so that they would be open to the message of the gospel this week. Thursday 12 December - Give thanks for CRU Burst Day Camp at Arndell Anglican College this week. Thank God for the great enthusiasm the school and local community has for this camp and for their partnership in the gospel. Give thanks for the opportunity to provide the community with quality holiday care, while also sharing the good news of Jesus with the children who attend. Friday 13 December - Pray that while building work for the Lake Mac Redevelopment Project continues during summer, CRU *Name changed for confidentiality reasons
Camps will continue to run smoothly. Pray that the camps will have access to the space and resources they need for a great camp where the message of Jesus can be communicated effectively. Saturday 14 December - Praise God for Chloe*, in Year 7, who came on her Summit school camp and was reminded of how faithful God is. As a result of what she learnt on camp, Chloe decided to recommit her life to Jesus. Praise God! Sunday 15 December - Pray for Survivor Jnr happening this week. Thank God for the amazing work of the leadership team who create a fantastic camp program with exciting activities that the campers will enjoy. Pray that the Bible will be taught faithfully and that many campers would respond positively to the claims of Jesus. Monday 16 December - Give thanks for the Survivor Snr team for creating a unique camp experience involving laser tag missions and village setups. Pray that the campers will connect with the leaders and have encouraging conversations that glorify Jesus. Tuesday 17 December - Thank God for the Waves and Wind team and campers as they have adventures at Lake Mac this week. As they sail on the lake, pray that there will be many opportunities to admire creation and give glory to God. Pray that conversations would point to Jesus. Wednesday 18 December - Thank God for the boys on Treasure Island as they have lots of fun getting muddy and having adventures this week. As camp is at a new site this year, please pray that the program runs smoothly. Praise God for the volunteer leaders who are excellent male role models on this camp. Thursday 19 December - Praise God for CRU Surf and the way this camp allows kids to enjoy the ocean while also introducing them to the creator of the wind and the waves. Praise God for the leadership team who help create a positive Christian surf culture on this camp.
Friday 20 December - Pray for the kids who are able to attend CRU® Camps through community supported care. We hear so many stories of campers returning home and being calmer, more helpful and even-tempered after camp. Thank God for His love and care that is expressed through the leaders on camp. Give thanks that our camps provide respite for carers and a lifechanging week for the child. Saturday 21 December - Pray for Piper who attended Autumn Trails. In her survey she shared, “The sessions have helped me realise that God is important in every moment of every day. Camp taught me how to pray.” Pray that Piper still remembers God every day and that she still brings her prayers to Him. Sunday 22 December - Pray for a camper on Autumn Study Camp who recommitted her life to Jesus. In her survey she said, “I think it’s important to have a personal relationship with the creator.” Pray that she is growing in her personal relationship with God and being supported by Christian contacts. Monday 23 December - Please pray for the Summit trainees who are finishing up with us in December. Praise God for the work that He has done so far in and through them. Pray that they will complete their time with us well and that God will continue to use them and grow them outside of CRU. Tuesday 24 December - Praise God for a great year at Summit. Give thanks for the opportunity to have run 116 camps for 52 schools, and impact approximately 9,555 students with the good news of Jesus. Pray for our partnership with these schools and ask that God would enable us to work alongside each other well, to help further the students’ development in their love and knowledge of Christ. Wednesday 25 December - Thank God for the wonderful gift of Jesus, sent to die for us. As CRU staff celebrate Christmas, pray that they will be great witnesses for the gospel and be bold in proclaiming Christ to non-believing friends and family. Thursday 26 December - Pray for CRU staff who are on holidays over Christmas and New Year. Ask that God would grant them good rest and refreshment. Friday 27 December - We give thanks to God that Alice Henderson has returned from maternity leave. Pray that as the routine of part-time work in CRU’s admin and accounts team becomes familiar, she will quickly feel settled.

Saturday 28 December - Praise God for David*, who joined Summit for his Year 7 school camp. He was very excited to share that he became a Christian on his Year 6 Summit Camp, one year earlier. Praise God that David was very enthusiastic and willing to share his faith with all his friends in his discussion group. Sunday 29 December - Pray for the Summit trainees as they have a break from running school camps during the holidays. Pray that this time would be restful and refreshing for the trainees. Monday 30 December - Give thanks for the Fundraising Team who seek to glorify God by resourcing the work of CRU on camps and in schools. Pray that God will provide the team with encouragement, inspiration, creativity and wisdom as they continue their work. Tuesday 31 December - Thank God for his goodness and faithfulness in 2019. Thank God for His provision and blessing towards CRU’s work this past year, and for enabling us to reach thousands of young people with the hope of Jesus!
JANUARY Wednesday 1 January - Please pray that God will continue to bless and grow CRU’s ministries in schools and on camps in 2020. Pray that God will be glorified in everything CRU does this year. Thursday 2 January - Pray for preparations for the CRU AGM, to be held on Thursday, 30th January. Pray for Gary, Nigel and the Board, as they prepare items for the members. Pray that the members will give thoughtful consideration to the papers they receive. Friday 3 January - Praise God for the new Summit trainees who have just started with us. Please pray for them as they go through training in January, that they will be able to learn and retain all the knowledge and skills required for the upcoming Summit camps in February.
Saturday 4 January - Give thanks for the men and women who serve on the many Board Committees. Praise God for their love of Jesus and their desire to make Him known. Pray that God will give them wisdom and skills as they serve, and that they might depend on Him in all things. Sunday 5 January - Praise God for the opportunity to grow the Summit Team and train more people for gospel ministry. Please pray for a great sense of community and unity within the team as they serve together. Praise God for the extensive Bible and leadership training the Summit trainees receive each year as part of their Training Program. Please pray for those running the training, that they will manage their workloads and be equipped with the knowledge and wisdom needed to train the Summit leaders well. Monday 6 January - Thank God for the young campers on Extreme Games at Galston this week. Pray that as they have a great time on camp, they would be stirred to ask many questions about Jesus and the Bible. Tuesday 7 January - Praise God for Summer Games Day Camp at William Clarke College. Pray for Mike Lihou as he leads the team and for the junior leaders in high school who are stepping up to lead. Pray that the leaders will connect well with the campers and that the camp will encourage greater unity between the junior and senior schools. Wednesday 8 January - Pray for the campers on Escape who will be participating in various activities this week. Pray for great weather as they visit the Raging Waters theme park and pray that God would provide many opportunities for encouraging conversations about Jesus. Thursday 9 January - Pray for Sailing Adventure and the dedicated team as they teach kids how to sail at Lake Mac this week. Give thanks to God for the provision of sailing boats and equipment that enables CRUÂŽ to run these unique camps. Friday 10 January - Thank God for CRĂœTech and the leaders who have a specialised set of skills that are needed to run this CRU Camp. Pray for the campers who attend, that they will not only grow in their knowledge of all things tech, but that they will also be eager to learn more about Christ. Saturday 11 January - Thank God for the girls on Mountain Muster this week. Ask that God will grant them safety as they ride their horses and travel to and from camp. Please pray for great camp community amongst the campers and leaders.
Sunday 12 January - Give thanks for After the Mast and the amazing opportunity the campers have to spend a week sailing Lake Mac. Thank God for those maintaining the boats and pray that they would be diligent to keep them running safely throughout the summer camp season. Monday 13 January - Please pray for CRU Break Day Camp at Shellharbour Anglican College. Thank God for the partnership CRU has with this school, and for the support and enthusiasm from the teachers and wider community. Tuesday 14 January - Praise God for the amazing Brightwaters volunteer team. Thank God for their dedication and service in running quality camps year after year. Pray for the boat drivers on this camp, that they would be wise and careful in their driving and pray the leaders will be great witnesses of God’s love to the campers. Wednesday 15 January - Thank God for Summer Spectacular Day Camp at Mamre Anglican School. Praise God that this camp encourages many young children to step outside their comfort zone and have fun, and pray that camp will be an engaging way to hear about Jesus. Thursday 16 January - Give thanks for CRU Study Camps and pray for the students starting their Year 12 study on Summer Study 1. Pray that this camp will set them up for a great year of academic success and help them keep life in perspective. Friday 17 January - Thank God for the campers on Getaway this year. As many of the kids will be first-time campers, pray that they will feel welcomed, make friendships easily and enjoy hearing about who Jesus is. Saturday 18 January – Today is the last day of CRU Hype. Thank God for the amazing team members who start planning the next camp the moment the current camp ends. Pray for the many planning meetings they have throughout the year so that camp is always enjoyable and creative. Sunday 19 January - Praise God we have January Leadership Camp (JLC) on again this year. JLC aims to equip young leaders in camp ministry and grow their faith. Please pray that many leaders will register and that camp will provide them with valuable training, equipping them for a lifetime of ministry on camps and in other contexts. Monday 20 January - Pray for Summer Thrills Day Camp at Terry Hills as it continues to grow in its relationship with the local community. Pray that the campers who come along will have lots of fun, make new friends, and enjoy hearing from the Bible in exciting ways.
Tuesday 21 January - Thank God for Sailing Masters being held at Lake Mac this week. Pray that there will be a close-knit community on camp where campers feel comfortable sharing and asking questions. Pray that the leaders would answer any questions faithfully. Wednesday 22 January - Pray for Beach Blitz as it’s held at a different campsite this year. Pray that the logistics of camp will go well, that camp would run smoothly, and that there will be lots of opportunities to share Jesus with the campers this week. Thursday 23 January - Give thanks for Summer Study 2 and the way this camp gives many students more confidence in their Year 12 study. Pray that students will gain a more balanced perspective of Year 12 life and be curious to learn more about the hope Jesus brings. Friday 24 January - Please pray for Triple G that is back at Galston this year. Give thanks that the team is able to lead the campers in various fun activities. Pray that the campers would enjoy the great outdoors and ask many gospel questions during the week. Saturday 25 January - Praise God for a great summer CRU® Camps season and give thanks for all the campers that attended a camp. Praise God for the work He is doing in the lives of the campers who decided to follow Christ this season. Pray that they would be supported by their school lunchtime groups and local churches. Sunday 26 January - Give thanks to God for IT systems that make our daily work lives more comfortable and productive. Praise God for David Czapala, CRU’s IT manager, who maintains these systems and supports our various divisions, two remote locations, as well as the Head office at Eastwood.
Monday 27 January - Praise God for the hundreds of directors, leaders, cooks, speakers, boaties and all the other volunteers on camp over the recent summer season. Thank God for their faithful service, sacrifice, and the way they helped make CRU Camps so enjoyable for the campers. Tuesday 28 January - Please pray for Sue as she co-ordinates payroll and pays all supplier invoices. Her work allows our field staff to focus on serving in their roles and spend less time on admin tasks as they connect with schools, campers and leaders. Wednesday 29 January - Summit’s first school camp of the year is happening this week with Abbotsleigh Year 12 at Galston. Pray that camp runs smoothly and pray for the students as they participate in various activities and sessions to help them prepare for the year ahead. Thursday 30 January - Pray for the CRU AGM and Board meeting being held tonight. Pray for Gary, Nigel and the Board, as they discuss various items with the Members. Pray that God would grant everyone great wisdom in their discussion and decision-making. Friday 31 January - Please continue to pray for Gary Hill, our Executive Director, as he provides the strong and godly leadership that is so vital to CRU. Pray that God will sustain him through the many meetings, internally and externally, and as he prepares talks and speaks words of encouragement to staff, leaders and campers. We thank God for the relationships Gary has developed with many stakeholders who have supported CRU throughout the years.
