Thinking back to when I was a teen, I have fond memories of spending a week away with my mates on camp, experiencing outdoor recreation, learning new skills, and growing as a person. Those camps were special times and played a major role in who I am today.

Every camp season I am blown away to read that, on average, 95%* of campers indicate that they made new friends on camp and would like to come back on another CRU Camp. We work hard to create a safe, fun and loving environment by equipping Christian leaders (at a ratio of 1 leader to 5 campers) to run excellent camps. Finn’s mum Kylie is a single mum with four kids and experiences significant financial constraints. Kylie explains, “Finn would not have been able to attend a CRU Camp without the help of the CRU Camper Sponsorship Fund.” The Camper Sponsorship Fund helps minimise camp fees for those families who would love to send their kids to camp but are struggling with illness, hardship, or financial difficulty. EXCEPTIONAL LEADERS Our dedicated teams of Christian leaders care for campers 24 hours a day. They are trained in child protection procedures, reference-checked and screened in accordance with government legislation. Their love for God and young people makes them brilliant role models. Each camp has a ratio of at least 1 leader to every 5 campers, with at least 2 leaders with First Aid qualifications to ensure that each camper receives an exceptional level of care. Most primary-age camps also have a camp ‘mum’ and ‘dad’ to care for the emotional needs of young campers. ENCOURAGING ENVIRONMENT Our nurturing camp environment is one where your child will feel accepted, cared for and encouraged. Through activities, leaders help your child develop teamwork, cooperation and communication skills whilst also challenging them to step out of their comfort zone to achieve new things. Meals, discussion times, and the encouraging camp environment enable campers to leave camp having grown in confidence, character, and social skills. Our camps are alcohol, tobacco and drug-free. GREAT VALUE We work hard to offer quality programs at the lowest possible price. This season our early bird camp fees start from just $45 a day for Day Camps. Residential Camps start from $99 per night which includes all activities, meals, accommodation, and 24-hour supervision, plus transport for most activity camps. adventures o Our action-packed CRU® Day Camps will ensure your child makes the most of the opportunity to make new friends and build self-confidence during their school holidays! They’ll enjoy the experience of camp, with the chance to participate in exciting outdoor activities and explore a Christian worldview, whilst still going home to sleep in the comfort of their own beds.

EXCITING ACTIVITIES Laser tag, stick-lets, giant jumping castle, scooter ball, excursions, archery, rock climbing, creative craft, Nerf tag, parachute games, mobile basketball, magic show, BMX bike riding, giant swing, and Christian Discovery with puppet shows, singing and skits.^

CARING COMMUNITY Our caring leaders get alongside your child to make sure they have a great time. The whole camp shares the same morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, as well as lots of activities together, to ensure everyone feels like they belong.

I got more study done in one week than I would have done in the rest of the three-week holidays. On top of that, I ate great food, had an awesome time with friends and learnt more about God.

He’s been involved with CRU® Camps since he was in Year 8 and attends Crossroads Christian Church in Canberra. Director: Aaron Smith goes to church in Manly at St Matthew's. He loves to surf (of course!), go on four-wheel driving adventures up the coast, and reading! He’s studying Commerce & Philosophy at university, and teaches study skills to high school students across NSW.
