I went on my first CRU Camp not knowing anyone, but met so many new people. I’ve felt supported and encouraged by my leaders and I loved how we learnt more about God every single day.

Finn’s mum Kylie is a single mum with four kids and experiences significant financial constraints. Kylie explains, “Finn would not have been able to attend a CRU Camp without the help of the CRU Camper Sponsorship Fund.” The Camper Sponsorship Fund helps minimise camp fees for those families who would love to send their kids to camp but are struggling with illness, hardship, or financial difficulty. Kylie shares, “When Finn came back from camp he would try to re-tell each Bible talk, showing

how much he had learnt. He has even decided to commit to serving at youth group and church!” Finn says, “I’m so thankful to have had the chance to go on a camp. They are trained in child protection procedures, reference-checked and screened in accordance with government legislation. Their love for God and young people makes them brilliant role models. Each camp has a ratio of at least 1 leader to every 5 campers, with at least 2 leaders with First Aid qualifications to ensure that each camper receives an exceptional level of care. Most primary-age camps also have a camp ‘mum’ and ‘dad’ to care for the emotional needs of young campers. ENCOURAGING ENVIRONMENT Our nurturing camp environment is one where your child will feel accepted, cared for and encouraged. Through activities, leaders help your child develop teamwork, cooperation and communication skills whilst also challenging them to step out of their comfort zone to achieve new things. Meals, discussion times, and the encouraging camp environment enable campers to leave camp having grown in confidence, character, and social skills. Our camps are alcohol, tobacco and drug-free. Snow Mania 2019 will be going off once again this year! Whether you’re an experienced skier or snowboarder, or dreaming of seeing snow for the first time, this will be a week you’ll always remember! With daily lessons from awesome Thredbo instructors, you will sharpen your skills and be prepared to tackle the slopes! In the afternoons, you’ll spend time with new friends and fun leaders as you carve up the powder and warm up with a hot chocolate or two. The fun will continue into the evenings with crazy games in the train carriages and the chance to learn about the Creator of the slopes and snow! This is one week of mega snow action you cannot miss. Hold on tight for another insane year of Adrenalin Rush! This will be one week of the most action packed, heart pumping fun. Prepare to use your skills as you weave through corridors plus dive through the cells of a jail with telescopic infrared weapons! Outwit the guards, bust out of jail and gain entry to the most exciting indoor and outdoor laser skirmish mission! We’ll keep the adrenalin pumping as you scale the rock climbing wall and abseil down the cliff face, test your aim in archery, and duel your opponents in fear-factor competitions and crazy games. Whether you’ve never sat on a motorbike or are a pro rider, you’ll love tearing up the terrain on our specially graded tracks! Our experienced crew of leaders will give you the dirt bike training you need to manoeuvre your way around the bends and master the skills to conquer the log jumps! Not only will you put the tracks to the test but you will have heaps of fun creating your own mini golf course, building forts and enjoying your freshly cooked damper as you enjoy a spectacular view on the bushwalk. To top it all off, we will play some exciting night games and hear about the God who created us and the awesome world we live in. You cannot miss this incredible week.
