With over 85 years of experience, CRU Camps is the largest provider of Christian holiday camps in NSW, welcoming around 4,000 campers a year on almost 80 camps. On a CRU Activity Camp your child will: • • • • • •

ENCOURAGING ENVIRONMENT Our nurturing camp environment is one where your child will feel accepted, cared for and encouraged. Through the activities, leaders help your child to develop teamwork, cooperation and communication skills whilst also challenging them to step out of their comfort zone to achieve new things. Meals, discussion times and the encouraging camp environment help campers to leave camp having grown in confidence, character and social skills. Our camps are alcohol, tobacco and drug-free environments.
EXCEPTIONAL LEADERS
GREAT VALUE
Our dedicated teams of Christian leaders care for campers 24 hours a day. They are trained in child protection procedures, reference checked and screened in accordance with government legislation. Their love for God and young people makes them brilliant role models. Each camp has a ratio of at least 1 leader to every 5 campers, with at least 2 leaders with First Aid qualifications to ensure that each camper receives an exceptional level of care. Most primary age camps also have a camp ‘mum’ and ‘dad’ to care for the emotional needs of young campers.
We work hard to offer quality programs at the lowest possible price. This season our early bird camp fees start from just $36 a day for Day Camps. Residential Camps start from $69 per day which includes all activities, meals, accommodation and 24hour supervision, plus transport for most activity camps. ADOPT-A-CAMPER
Jacqui is a single parent and disabled pensioner who can’t walk, and she wouldn’t have been able to send her son Nick on a recent summer camp had it not been for CRU’s “Adopt-A-Camper” Sponsorship Fund. Jacqui shared with us:
“Even though Nick is only 11 years old, he is my legal carer and has a lot of responsibilities at home with looking after me. Nick has high-functioning autism and ADHD, so I really wanted him to have something social to do in the holidays where he could have the opportunity to be a kid again, by taking a break from computer screens, getting
out in the fresh air and learning about God. Nick used to be scared of everything, but on CRU Camp he really came out of his shell; he even gave rock-climbing a go, even though he’s afraid of heights. Nick has only just started learning about God, but … he has started praying on his own on a regular basis and I’m so excited for him to continue learning about Jesus. In the afternoons you’ll spend time with new friends and fun leaders as you carve up the powder and warm up with a hot chocolate or two. Back at camp we’ll keep the adrenalin pumping as you scale the rock climbing wall and abseil down the cliff face, as well as duel it out with your opponents in fear factor competitions and crazy games.
