CELEBRATING 30YEARS OF ADVENTURE

THREE DECADES OF AUTHENTIC EXPERIENCES

Dear Fellow Adventurers,
As a boy growing up in Mukilteo, Washington, along the shores of Puget Sound, no school bell could ring loud enough to keep me from exploring our wild coastline. When whales were spotted off the Mukilteo Lighthouse, the entire grade school I attended was allowed to depart the school and walk to the park where we marveled at the whales going by the point. Afternoons and summers were had ventured far from the Sound. This early education, so different from my formal schooling, sparked a boundless curiosity about the wonders beyond my hometown.
As I grew older, that curiosity led me north to Alaska. I discovered that if more people could experience these wild places the way I did—up close, in small communities, guided by nature’s rhythms—they’d come to care for them as deeply as I do.
In 1996, this vision took shape with a 12-guest yacht that spent the summer sailing to and from Alaska. We
“cruise” meant became the cornerstone of our identity. It felt natural to our close-knit team, who believed in three things: personal connections, sustainable travel, and genuine immersion in every destination we explored.
Today, as UnCruise Adventures, we’re proud to say our reach extends well beyond Alaska (to Costa Rica, Hawai‘i, the Galápagos, and Baja California, Mexico) all while keeping alive that same spark I felt back on Puget Sound.
As we celebrate three decades, my heartfelt thanks goes to everyone who has joined us on the water:
• Our guests who trust us with their adventures, returning voyage after voyage and igniting the spirit of travel in others.
• Our local partners—the guides, farmers, and community leaders—who welcome us and teach us to tread gently and give back.
• Our dedicated crews, from captains and chefs to stewards and guides, who pour their expertise and passion into every trip.
We promise to continue pushing the boundaries of authentic adventure, always putting conservation and community at the heart of what we do, and inviting you into our next chapter—wherever the tides lead.
With gratitude and excitement,
Dan Blanchard

“The best travelers know that less is more. Re-wear layers, prioritize quick-dry fabrics, and leave the ‘just-incase’ items behind. A moisture-wicking performance shirt dries fast and keeps you fresh. Your cabin space—and back—will thank you.”
– Mark P., Portland, OR (All Destinations)
“Waterproof gear is non-negotiable , no matter where you go! In Alaska, I swear by my waterproof rain jacket and breathable rain pants. For Costa Rica, a lightweight poncho is a lifesaver during unexpected showers.”
– Sophia L., Denver, CO (All Destinations)
“Think of a waterproof dry bag as your adventure insurance. Stash your camera, phone, and snacks inside—it’s a game-changer for skiff rides, kayaking, or unexpected rain showers.”
– Dave R., Pearl River, NY (Alaska)
“In Alaska, we were so grateful for the boots that they offered on board, but bringing some comfy insoles really made sure that we didn’t end the day feeling uncomfortable.”
– Rachel T., Los Angeles, CA (All Destinations)
“So many phones go for an accidental swim. A waterproof phone pouch is a must. And if you love wildlife photography, compact travel binoculars are perfect for spotting blue-footed boobies.”
Sunscreen & Bug Spray: Non-Negotiables
– Javier M., Miami, FL (Costa Rica, Galápagos, & Hawai‘i)
“Equatorial sun is no joke, and neither are jungle mosquitoes. A reef-safe sunscreen stick keeps my skin safe, and a long-lasting insect repellent lotion means I can enjoy the rainforest without the bites.”
– Lindsey K., Austin, TX (All Destinations)
“Eco-friendly choices make a difference. A reusable insulated water bottle keeps your drink cold, biodegradable reef-safe sunscreen protects the ocean, and a quick-dry travel towel is great for any adventure.”
