Annual CRPR Kids on Wheels Parade

Hey kids, show your patriotism and be part of the FREE Annual CRPR Kids on Wheels Parade on July 4. Decorate your bike, scooter, stroller, or wagon and meet us at the corner of Locust Lane and Foster Ave at 9:30 AM. The parade starts at 10 AM and ends at Friedman Parklet for watermelon and parachute games. A fun family way to start the holiday!

LOCATION: Meet at corner of Locust Lane and Foster Avenue

Welch Pool Cardboard Regatta

Build your own boat, and race it at Welch Pool! Boats must be made from cardboard, paperboard, and duct tape ONLY (colored duct tape is OK). Boats may be a maximum of 7' long and 4' wide. Paddles/propulsion must also be homemade using the same materials (or use your hands/feet). Race course will be one length of the pool (25 yards). Racers will be divided by division and category and may be separated into heats. AWARDS: (1) 1st place in each division for the fastest boat (2) Best overall boat design(3) Best overall costume (4) The Titanic Award for most spectacular sinking

We will host pre-judging at 8:30 AM (all entries must be present) and the races will begin thereafter. Costumes must be pool/swimmer safe. Lifeguards will be on duty. Deadline to register is Friday, July 7 at noon.

Beep, Beep, Bingo!

Come and play bingo from your car or lawn chair to help raise funds for the Active Adult Center! We're giving away cash prizes, with the last game being a JACKPOT prize of $200! Each regular game winner will have the chance to win cash! The cost to play is $15 per car, no matter how many people you bring with you! Admission gets you 1 booklet of 10 games, 6 cards per game. You can purchase additional booklets for $10 each, online or by cash the day of the event, while supplies last. We will play 10 regular games total. Additional Early Bird Bingo game books, prize raffle tickets, and a 50/50 drawing tickets will also be available for purchase. Our FM transmitter will let you tune into your car's radio to hear the numbers. You will need to provide a marker, dauber, pen, or highlighter, and maybe something to rest your bingo cards on. Yard games will be set-up for kids and families to play during our breaks. Gates open at 5:00 PM. Early Bird Bingo starts at 6 PM (Early Bird Booklets are $5 ea. and can be purchased at the gate). Regular Bingo starts at approximately 7 PM.

All Ages (18 and under must be accompanied by an adult.)

Pedal, Splash & Dash Youth Triathlon

Swimming will take place at Welch Pool; the bike portion will use the bike path from Welch Pool to Blue Course Drive; the run portion will use the SCAHS field above the pool. Participants must be equipped with appropriate swimwear, their own bicycle and helmet, and running shoes or sneakers. Parents/guardians should be present to assist with race transitions.

Event will be held rain or shine; cancellation with full refund in the event of thunder/lightning. Finishers will receive a custom CRPR Medal! The events break-down as follows:

•Ages 9-11: event includes a 100-yard swim, 2-mile bike, and a 1/2-mile run.

Starts: 7:45 AM (Age 11), 8:15 AM (Age 10), and 8:45 AM (Age 9)

•Ages 6-8: event includes a 50-yard swim, a 1-mile bike, and a 1/4 mile run.

Starts: 9:15 AM (Age 8), 9:30 AM (Age 7), and 9:45 AM (Age 6).

So Long Summer Splash and Movie!

Find your float and join us at Park Forest Pool for a Sport-Themed Dive-In Movie screening of the original "Space Jam." Doors open for evening swimming at 8 PM; the movie will start at approximately 8:30 PM. To enhance sound, no water slides will be running for this event. There will be yard games, as well as, food and drink available for purchase. Staff will be selling glow sticks and raffling off door prizes.

Paws-A-Pool-Ooza Dog Swim

A day for the dogs! Join us for this end-of-season swim! $5 per dog at the gate, humans free! Proof of license and vaccinations and waiver required. Waivers available on-site. Download the waiver to complete it in advance; then, bring it with you to save time!

Dogs 0-25 lbs.: 1-1:30 PM

Dogs 26-50 lbs.: 1:45-2:15 PM

Dogs 51+ lbs.: 2:30-3 PM
