The Annual Fall Feet 5K Run/Walk begins and ends at beautiful Circleville Park, featuring a scenic course with a few rolling hills. Whether you are racing or strolling, this all-ages event is chip timed by Falcon Race Timing. Dogs are welcome on leash, and prizes will be awarded to top finishers. Register by August 28 to receive a free race t-shirt! Participants who register August 29 through race day will receive a T-shirt while supplies last.

Foundational Yoga

Focus on the fundamentals with this gentle, breath centered practice. This class is great for beginners, and advanced yogis alike, offering functional movements, breath and body awareness, and an opportunity for deeper restoration and relaxation. Pickleball Learn-to-Play Pickleball combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It is played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court or with a slightly modified tennis net. Participants use a paddle and a plastic ball with holes and the game can be played as doubles or singles. Join members of the local Pickleball League for basic instruction!

Fall Tennis League The Fall Tennis League features three divisions to match your skill level: Recreational (USTA 2.5–3.0): Ideal for players looking to improve match play, court movement, and serving. Scores are kept, but reporting is optional.

Intermediate (USTA 3.0–3.5): For those seeking competitive play while continuing to build consistency and ball control.

Competitive (USTA 3.5+): Designed for experienced players with solid control and a variety of strokes.

Flexible Scheduling: You'll receive a full-season schedule and have one week to complete each match.

Matches can be played at any court, any time that suits the players.

What You’ll Get: Each registrant receives one can of new tennis balls, available for pickup at the Parks & Recreation office.

Puddle Jumpers Puddle Jumpers mixes outdoor exploration with fundamental learning through hands-on experiences in nature. This drop-off program includes unstructured, imaginative exploration, and structured, nature-based, hands-on learning.

Join the Youth Bird Club - a hands-on birding club designed to build real field skills in bird identification and observation. In partnership with the State College Bird Club. Sessions will include lessons on seasonal bird groups and guided field walks to spot and study them in their natural habitats. Whether you are an experienced birder or just getting started, this opportunity is open to kids ages 7- 15 looking to build their skills, be part of a community of young nature enthusiasts, and deepen their connection to the local environment.

Bird Walks with the State College Bird Club Welcome the day with the sights and sounds of migrating birds! Join members of the State College Bird Club for a guided bird walk at Millbrook Marsh Nature Center as you observe birds migrating to and through the Centre Region. Open to all ages and perfect for beginners, these walks are a great way to build your birding skills and enjoy the outdoors. Please dress for the weather and bring binoculars. Walks will be canceled in the event of heavy rain. Registration is not required. A suggested donation of $5 per participant supports Millbrook Marsh Nature Center. Whether you're introducing your child to the water or building advanced skills, experienced instructors focus on water safety, confidence, and skill development in a fun, supportive setting with small class sizes.

Tai Chi

ACTIVE ADULTS

Tai Chi is an ancient practice rooted in Chinese medicine, meditation, and martial arts that combines mental focus with slow, controlled movements to improve balance, flexibility, coordination, and overall well-being. This multi-level class is designed as a progressive learning experience. Participants begin by learning a 24-posture form that combines breathing techniques with movement and balance. Classes include warmups, stretching, form instruction, and guided practice appropriate to each participant's skill level. Because each class builds on the previous one, participants must register before the session begins and attend from the first class. Please wear loose-fitting clothing and comfortable, supportive shoes.

You’ll move through several “blocks,” which are groups of exercises that focus on different muscle groups. Silversneakers BOOM Mind is an intermediate class that offers the best of Yoga, Pilates, and Barre combined in a mind-body mat workout. About Centre Region Parks & Recreation Authority The mission of the Centre Region Parks and Recreation Authority is to serve Centre Region residents of all ages throughout the year with a variety of recreation opportunities and access to facilities to enrich their lives through participation in programs, facility use, provision of leadership resources and technical assistance, and serving the participating municipalities' residents and groups. The Authority membership includes five municipalities--the Borough of State College and the Townships of College, Ferguson, Harris, and Patton, and the State College Area School District. Each municipality appoints one volunteer representative to serve a five-year term, plus one representative from the State College Area School District who is appointed

by State College Borough Council. In October 2011, the five participating municipalities re-authorized the future of the Authority for January 2012 through December 2061.
