We will play an accessible game of cricket suitable for all skill levels. We will then have our lunch in the park.

Arrive at 6.15 pm and we will start playing at 6.30 pm.

Trampolining at Oxygen trampoline park Autism and learning disability friendly session.

Cost - £9 per person, carers come for free. Bring the cash with you on the day.

If you have jump socks, please bring them. If not you will need to buy them at the start, they cost £2.65 extra.

Everyone taking part in this session will need to fill in and sign a participant consent form. The form asks about your medical conditions and has a list of the rules. You may like some help from a parent or carer to fill in the form.

Medical information from the Oxygen website If you have any medical condition that may affect your ability to safely jump on a trampoline, you must consult a doctor 1st and write down all the details on your form.

If you have a pre-existing injury or disability we may require you to bring a signed doctor’s note to confirm it is safe for you to participate in the session.

If you have Down Syndrome – we require a signed doctor’s note to confirm participation for each visit.

Sponsored Walk and Picnic

Out and About is teaming up with our Family and Advocacy Support Service to go on a fun walk around Crystal Palace Park.

After the walk we will be enjoying a picnic so bring along some food and drink, or you could buy something from the café.

Cost - free (bring some money if you want to buy something from the café)

If you would like to collect some sponsors and raise money for Croydon Mencap, please ask Emily for a sponsor pack and for more information.

Some of us are going to walk in fancy dress, so if you would like to dress up too that would be great!

Wheels For Wellbeing has an exciting selection of accessible bikes for you to try! Then we will have lunch and walk around the lake in South Norwood Country Park.

Tai Chi at Cherry Hub

Come along to the Cherry Hub with us to try some Tai Chi. Professional instructor Matt Yule will teach us some simple, fun and relaxing moves.

The session is accessible and you can still join in if you need to sit.

Carers are welcome as well as members at this session.

There is plenty of parking at Cherry Hub as well as lots of buses.

Cost - £7.50 per person.

You will need to book in advance for this activity.

Wicked at the Apollo Theatre in London

Come and see Wicked at the Apollo Victoria Theatre!

We will travel to London together on the train from East Croydon.

Then we will walk to Buckingham Palace and have our lunch in St James’ Park, before heading to the theatre for this exciting West End show!

Price: £55. You will need to book and pay in advance for this activity.

The theatre does not offer a free carer scheme so if you bring a carer, they will have to pay too.

You will also need to buy a train ticket, or bring your Freedom Pass.

MHA Wilderness and Pinewood Close

We will be attending a Christmas lights show with a difference this evening, based in beautiful woodland in Shirley with magical movie images and stories!

After the show we will take a walk to the famous Pinewood Close nearby to see all the wonderful lights the residents put on for charity.

Join us to see The Further Adventures of Peter Pan – The Return of Captain Hook With a star-studded cast, headed up by EastEnders bad boy Ricky Champ as Captain Hook and Gemma Hunt as Tinker Bell. Joining Ricky Champ and Gemma Hunt are CBBC and Crackerjack’s Mark Rhodes as Smee and Channel 5 Milkshake! presenter David Ribi as Peter Pan. Cost - £30 each. You must book and pay in advance for this session.

For some sessions you need to pay in advance. Please let Emily know if you need to cancel or if you need help paying.

2. Card payments Some places only take card payments. If you do not have a card, you can give Emily the cash and she will make a card payment for you.

3. Cancellations & Refunds (sessions you pay for in advance) At least 2 weeks’ notice must be given in order to receive a full refund. 8-13 days’ notice must be given in order to receive a 50% refund. Less than 7 days’ notice no refund will be given. continued on next page...

Croydon Mencap Terms and conditions for the Out and About activities and events 4. Additional Charges If you require 1 to 1 support you need to attend the activity with your own Personal Assistant.

Additional charges will apply if your PA occupies a seat in a Croydon Mencap vehicle or hired vehicle, and if an entrance fee/ticket is payable.

5. Own Support If you attend an activity with your own PA, they are responsible for your safety and wellbeing, and it is their duty to support you throughout the activity.

6. Personal Information At least 2 weeks before an activity please ensure that you have given Emily all the relevant information about your support needs, medical information and emergency contact details. It is also advised that you being up-to-date identification, such as a Freedom Pass, with you.

1 to 1s for adults with a learning disability

This new service can support you with everyday activities.

We will help you to develop new skills and become more independent.

Our fully trained and friendly staff can support you with meeting new people managing money and paying bills shopping and cooking emotional support filling out forms going to appointments looking after your home staying fit and healthy You can be supported with these things out and about in Croydon or at home. At the moment we are not able to support with personal care.

Each session is a minimum of 2 hours and costs £25 per hour. If you need to be supported by more than 1 person, we can look at organising this for you.

You can pay for this support using your direct payments.
