News & Events Leisure Link is a group of people who meet to share information about leisure activities for people with learning disabilities in Croydon.

Leisure Link meetings take place once every two months. Everyone is welcome to come along to our meetings. We’d love to hear what you’ve been doing and you may get some good ideas about things you’d like to do.

Andrew – Visited the newly refurbished Fairfield Halls and was really impressed by how it looks. He like the fact that they have kept several features from the existing building. www.fairfield.co.uk Rachael – Attended the CVA Community Showcase in the Whitgift Shopping Centre on 21 November.

Walking for health We run programmes of led and self-guided short walks (1-4 miles) in local parks and open spaces. Itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s a great way to meet new people and become active.

Join Croydon ACE Team

Croydon Ponds Project TCV are working with local people to research the ecology and history of Croydonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s many public ponds. This Heritage Lottery Funded project aims to help connect people with their local ponds, update and improve existing knowledge of them, and ensure they are effectively cared for long into the future.

The Conservation Volunteers Action for Croydonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Environment team organises regular task days every Wednesday and Thursday in different parks and woodlands in and around Croydon.

To join us you just need to register with us by completing one of our volunteer welfare forms. Please contact us at our e-mail address (see below) and we will send you one of the forms to complete. Once we confirm you are registered with us you are then free to join us on as many project days as you wish.

We are looking for volunteers to help us with ecological surveys, archive research and practical conservation work. No previous experience is necessary.

As well as working in Croydon, the group also works in parts of Surrey and occasionally in north and west Kent.

Accessibility at Fairfield Halls

Ashcroft Playhouse With increased capacity of over 800 seats the Ashcroft Playhouse will present seasons of plays and musicals as well as being home to local community performances and events.

The Phoenix Concert Hall The Phoenix Concert Hall will once again play host to the London Mozart players as resident Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the English Chamber Orchestra.

The Recreational South London is about to get a new 750 capacity gig space with the opening of The Recreational at Fairfield Halls.

The Arnhem Foyer A programme of free events, including our lunchtime concerts, will be announced over the coming months.

The Cube This glass-fronted space at the front of the newly revamped arts centre will play host to all manner of community events and activities throughout the year.

As part of the transformation of Fairfield Halls we have put access at the heart of everything we plan.

Our ticket desk, toilets, performance and exhibition spaces are accessible to all, as are the cafes, bars and restaurants across the venue.

Access Scheme Customers with special seating or access requirements can join our Access Scheme, which enables us to provide the best possible service and seats for customers with accessibility needs.
