Closing Arguments The prosecutor and the defense attorney submit their closing arguments after the crossexamination. Closing arguments summarize the case besides requesting the jury to deliver a fair verdict.

Jury Instructions, Deliberations, and Verdict Announcement Jury instructions involve the judge advising the jury on the applicable laws and how to arrive at a verdict. Deliberation involves determining the guilt or innocence of the accused, while verdict announcement presents the outcome of the case to the parties involved.
