The Roaring 20’s is known for its flappers, jazz bands, silent movies, prohibition, and prosperity. The Great War was over and people were going to “throw off the shackles”, “bounce back”. People showed their resiliency, creativity ,and resourcefulness just as you have in successfully completing 13 years of school. You managed your life through the Covid pandemic. You showed as much strength, resiliency, determination, and creativity as any CCHS student since the Second World War. And you grew more resilient, your mental strength, from the negative experience. The diploma you receive today is proof of that, and you had to do so much more than most to achieve success. Greg Long - Board Vice Chair Ward 2 - LRSD
