20 18 Ashant i Queen Patience Jonai Hunt is the youngest child of Jonathan and Shaguana Hunt. Patience is a kindhearted, outgoing, smart 7yr old. She is a 1st grader at A.C.E. Academy Charter School where she excels academically and socially. She has maintained high marks since Kindergarten and her teachers often praise her for being respectful and a leader to her peers. She is a member of New Waves of Joy Baptist Church where she is active in the youth department. When not attending school, Patience enjoys dancing, modeling, acting, girl scouts, hanging with family and friends, and participating in her church youth group. Since the age of 2, Patience has been dancing at Miss Donna?s School of Dancing and is currently a first year competition participant in which her team has received multiple first place and second place awards. Patience has been modeling since the age of 3. She started as a participant in her church?s annual debutante pageant. Since, she has participated in 5 runway fashion shows, The Brown Girl?s Experience,
Charlotte Seen Candyland, Charlotte Seen La Mode Seen, Fashion of Film, and the Charlotte African-American Festival Fashion Show. She has also been featured in 2 magazines, Careese Digital Photography Magazine and Hopscotch Magazine. Patience has also been acting with the Charlotte?s Children?s theatre since age 3. Patience is a caring little girl and loves to help others. When she grows up, she wants to be a nurse. Patience says she wants to be a nurse ?so she can help people who can?t help themselves.? She has participated in several volunteer community projects with the most recent being serving the elderly at her church during a luncheon and helping to revive her school?s garden. Upon participating in the 6th Annual Charlotte African-American Festival Pageant, Patience was crowned 2018 Little Miss Queen Makeda and 2018 Ashanti Queen and she is looking forward to representing and continuing to serve the community.

The pageant contestants have an opportunity to celebrate African queens. The Ashanti Pageant offers lots of crowns and lots of educational and empowering opportunities. The competitions and crowning competition and crowning ceremony are held at the Charlotte African-American Festival. In 2014 She's a graduate of International Academy of Design and Technology where she majored in fashion and merchandising. Maxine had the opportunity to intern with Legendary Manual Cuevas Fashion Designer to the Country stars. August 2014 she worked on the Treva and Kevin TV show as a Set Director, Makeup Artist, and Wardrobe Stylist. Maxine also debuted her fashion designs on Channel 5 Talk of the Town February 15, 2015, To included Maxine fashion and hair debuted in numerous hair/fashion magazines and fashion shows. March 8, 2015, Maxine debuted her Fashion and Hair skills on other popular reality TV show, Thicker than Water Bravo network.
