Entering pageants initially stemmed from my role as a “momager” to my two incredible daughters who participatedinmultiplepageantsystems Witnessingtheir journey, I observed them evolve into articulate women withinasupportivesisterhood Thisexperienceigniteda desirewithinmetoinfusemylifewithsomesparklewhile contributingtothecommunityalongsidemydaughters.

Eachyearofmycompetition,myplacementinthefinal pageantwaslower,butingeneralmyscoreswerehigher. Seeingmyperformanceimproveyearlyiswhatmademe wanttocontinuetocompete.
What made you decide to compete in your current system?
When investigating potential pageants, I literally started with googling pageants for doctors. I had no idea that there was a system like Dr. World Productions. The decision to compete in DWP, which celebrates women with doctoral degrees, was driven by my aspiration to showcase the achievements and capabilities of women likeme.
What’sthebestthingthatpageantshavetaughtyou
The most valuable lesson I’ve gained from pageants is self-awareness. Through this journey, I’ve discovered aspectsofmyselfthatImightnothaveotherwiserealized, includingrecognizingmystrugglewithbeingasoreloser. However, alongsidethisrealization,I’vealsolearnedthe importance of resilience and perseverance Despite setbacksordisappointments,I’vedevelopedtheabilityto pick myself up and try again, ultimately understanding thatfailureisjustasteppingstonetowardsuccess

My platform is Talking Taboo which I started during my first year at Ms Classic GB It is aimed at encouraging womenovertheageof40inparticular, totalkinconfidencewithotherwomen about their menopause struggles and associated conditions which are commonly so taboo that so many women fail to ask for the support they need. Hi my Name is Nicola Allan I'm currently a Ms Elegance of the world Finalists.
The reason l decided to complete in Miss Elegance was that l loved the fact that it celebrate the beauty and diversity of every woman.
From entering into pageantry 4 year's ago I've been lucky enough to hold some amazing titles which have giving me the chance to compete in the UK & Internationally.
Miss United Kingdom Rose 2021/2022 Miss Americas top beauty queen 2022/2023
It's also gave me the opportunity to run some amazing campaigns.
Two year's ago l started a campaign for Domestic abuse awareness campaign. I also run a support group on face which allow person how have been involved or witness domestic abuse help support each another and know that they aren't alone.
The reason l started this campaign is that it's such a touchy subject no one wants to speak about but unfortunately this stuff does happen and we need to raise awareness of this.
Domestic Abuse can happen to anyone including Men. 3.8% of men (786,000) experienced domestic abuse in the last year alone. Murders related to domestic violence are at a five year high. Abuse is experienced by people of all ages, ethnic backgrounds, genders, gender identities and sexualities. It affects people of different abilities, and happens across every class background.
Abuse is rarely a one-off event, and domestic abuse behaviour tends to get worse over time.
It’s important to realise that your abuser is responsible for their own actions. Abusive behaviour is unwarranted and unacceptable under any circumstances.
Domestic abuse behaviour can be physical, psychological, sexual or financial.
If anyone at all is struggling please know you aren't alone. Please feel free to contact me at anytime day or night my mail box is alway opening. Thank you to everyone who's been involved in raising awareness of my campaign.
