Mr. Fuchs is questioned by the KGB about the Frierdiker Rebbe and realizes he is in danger. He quickly warns the chassidim that the Rebbe must leave Moscow immediately.
But the next morning, when Mr. Fuchs met the same Chossid, he could tell from the man's worried expression that his advice had not been followed. Despite the danger, the Frierdiker Rebbe was still in Moscow, the headquarters of the GPU! Worried, Mr. Fuchs quickly walked away.
Mr. Fuchs’ face turned pale. The Frierdiker Rebbe, who knew perfectly well that the GPU was watching him, was giving a public speech about Yiddishkeit right in the middle of Moscow!
Mr. Fuchs and Mr. Vendill squeezed through the crowd and stepped into the packed shul. And there, standing at the bimah, was the Frierdiker Rebbe himself!
“How did the nes of Purim come about?” the Frierdiker Rebbe was saying, his voice ringing through every corner of the shul.

A few days later, Mr. Fuchs was walking down the street with his friend, Mr. Vendill. They passed the small Lubavitch shul on Archipova Street, and stopped in amazement.
