In any language there are no more wonderful words. God proved His love when His sinless Son came to take the punishment we deserve for our sins. “God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). Three days after paying the ultimate price for our salvation, Christ rose from the grave to prove His victory over the power of sin and death! Such great love for us demands a personal response. Do you truly believe that you can be forgiven only by believing that Christ died for you? Why not place your first name in these blanks in John 3:16 to see how this applies to you: God so loved that He gave His only begotten Son, that if believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. If you are trusting in Christ’s death in your place to make you right with God, you can tell Him in your own words like this: "Dear God, thank You for sending Your Son to die for me. I am turning from trusting in anything else, and now I’m trusting only in Jesus’ death and resurrection for forgiveness and salvation.
