Crossroads Youth & Family Services is excited to announce that we are serving as Interim Program Facilitators for the Wewoka Head Start Program in Seminole and Lincoln counties. The program was previously run by Wewoka Public Schools.

Many new team members will be coming on board and we can't be more thrilled to welcome them to the Crossroads team. More information, introductions, and details will be shared soon.

MAKE SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR DAD Butterfly Planter

Items Needed: Planter Tempera Paint Plate or recycled cardboard Feet Chair, stool, or table Directions Prepare the area by placing down paper or recycled cardboard. Pour desired paint colors onto plate or cardboard Allow child to step gently in the paint design Have the child sit in desired spot Place the right foot in position against the planter Once the right foot is removed, Place the left foot to the immediate right side of the previous print. Be careful not to smudge the previous print. Allow planter to dry and use markers or paint to add finishing details.

Items Needed: Rock with at least one smooth surface Tempera Paint Paint brushes paper or recycled Cardboard Directions Prepare the area by placing cardboard, plastic coverings, or paper down. Use a paper plate or other conduit to place various paint colors . Allow creativity and your child to decorate the rock as they like. Place to the side and allow to dry. Once dry, use markers or paint to draw a special message.

The team put the finishing touches on the Moore Conference Center and many trainings are already underway.

Arbuckle Wilderness

YOUTH SERVICES UPDATES AND HIGHLIGHTS PHILANTHROPY COMES IN MANY SHAPES AND SIZES Dr. John Otto, owner of University Animal Hospital in Norman, shared a harrowing story about homelessness, setbacks and the love animals can bring to shelter residents. This private viewing happened at the historic Norman Theatre. A huge thank you to Denise for setting this up.

What could make the night even better? A quick stroll through downtown Norman and some treats from Rusty's Frozen Custard Factory made it an enjoyable night.

To make an impact on the lives of many takes time, money and effort. The Oklahoma community is filled with organizations and individuals that bring all of these things and more to the Emergency Youth Shelter residents.

The process of starting a new program can be daunting unless the right people all come together to make it happen.

Additional funds are being donated as well as the expertise and resources of Ideal Homes for the shelter remodel project.

Crossroads welcomes a tremendous group of interns this summer to help make a difference in the lives of youth dealing with anxiety or

Oklahoma Riversport , Arbuckle Wilderness , YMCA of Cleveland County , and Westwood Water Park all donated passes for shelter residents to have enjoyable excursions this summer.
