Reaching for the Stars: Neighborhood Early Head Start in Shawnee Achieves the highest rating in childcare! Neighborhood Early Head Start in Shawnee is truly reaching for the stars by achieving the highest rating in childcare through Oklahoma's Reaching for the Stars program. Glenda Woolover, Center Director/Lead Teacher, along with her room partner, Erika Stephen, and cook Melody Stacy are a team of high-quality educators shaping the lives of young people in Shawnee. Achieving a 3 Start rating is the highest achievement by meeting all minimum licensing requirements, having engaging learning environments, hosting additional family engagement activities, as well as having national accreditation, and maintaining compliance in all Head Start performance standards.

Stress Breaker 3: Doughn't Forget Your Self Love
On Saturday, February 12, a group of stress breakers embarked on a mission to create therapy dough for valentines. We ran into some interesting concoctions, but there is one key takeaway which is self-care is your superpower. Working through issues is a lot like kneading dough. It takes time, patience, and no two batches are exactly alike. Thank you to Kristina and Ashley for lending your counseling skills and talking about the need for counseling in all communities.

Victory Family Church (VFC) has continued to be a wonderful partner and advocate for our Emergency Resource Center. Because of VFC, we get to move on to phase two of our shelter renovation. They also volunteer with us regularly, ensuring that we have a safe and welcoming home environment for the kids that we serve. Crossroads is so thankful for the support from our Victory Family! FEB.
