The long-awaited Kenton Playground Project is finally coming to fruition, after receiving a supporting $39,000 grant from the Federated Co-op Community Spaces Program. With the generous support of
Valleyview Co-op and the committed efforts of various community organizations, Kenton’s dream of a new play structure is becoming a reality. “We are thrilled to be one of the recipients of the Federated Coop Community Spaces Grant this year, which will significantly contribute to our Playground Project
here in Kenton,” Kenton Community Volunteer, Nicole Wilson, stated. “Since losing the school many years ago, the only real play structure left in town is located at the old school grounds. as private family functions,” Wilson said. “We are so excited to have this space in town used, and when the idea was proposed that we install a new play structure just down from the bandstand, the Woodworth Legion was up for the challenge.”
