Happy October! I trust that you have had a wonderful summer season. Crossroads continues to be a busy and vibrant community. Here are several updates for the remainder of the year.
First, we’re excited to announce our annual Holiday Meal, Saturday, December 14, 2024. Like last year, there will be two seatings in our Assisted Living Community. The first seating will start at 11:00AM, and the second will start at 1:30PM, with cottage residents invited to the 1:30PM seating. Our Memory Care neighborhood will have just one seating at 11:00AM. Our residents and their first two guests are complimentary. Any additional guests will be billed $15.00 per person. RSVP and payment information will be sent out later. Teresa and her staff created a wonderful meal for us last year and we are so excited to see what they have in store for us this year.
Second, we will once again be hosting a bake sale the week of Thanksgiving. All baked goods will be prepared by our very own residents. Our staff is looking forward to this event and may even share some of their own favorite baked goods. All proceeds from our bake sale will benefit our Resident Council. Please stay tuned for more information!
As we draw closer to the winter months, we ask that you do not bring any medications to your loved ones without touching base with Cathi, Denise, Christi, or myself. Colorado regulations require that Crossroads follow physician orders for all medications in the community. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me or any of our leaders for assistance

Christmas in Zambia!
Zambia has long been a beautiful place for tourists to visit, with natural sights and wonders pervading the country. Maranatha Volunteer’s family project is in Zambia during the Christmas and New Year holiday. It is a way for you to help lay block walls for new classrooms and make memories with your family that last a lifetime. The Adventist Church community in south Zambia asked Maranatha for help with the Sala Adventist School located 30 miles outside of Lusaka. Maranatha has committed to constructing classroom buildings, staff housing and a church. You now can be part of that mission too. Find out how by scanning this code.
A Number 10
Bill and Dan were sitting on a park bench taking in the fall colors.
Bill exclaimed, “Ah, October! Almost time for Halloween. This season reminds me of how I met my wife.”
Dan replied, “I don’t know that story.”
Bill continued, “I went to a costume party and saw her across the room. Standing there tall and gorgeous next to her friend. They’d come to the party together dressed as the number ten. That’s when I knew, she was the one.”
