Welcome, Cathi Miller!
You may have noticed a new person minding the nurse’s office when visiting our Memory Care community. We welcome Cathi Miller, a Registered Nurse, who recently joined our Crossroads staff. Cathi has worked as an RN for the past 18 years with most of her focus on hospice and elder care. At St. Mary’s in Grand Junction, she also specialized in traumatic brain and spinal injuries.
Prior to becoming a nurse she was in bank management, and before that, she was a cosmetician. She is married to Jeff Miller, Crossroads Maintenance Director, and the two commute daily from Junction with an eye on moving to Delta.
Cathi already has big plans for the Memory Care community. Her goal is to re-energize activities by getting a Men’s Club up and running, having tea parties, re-opening the Bistro, having regular popcorn and movie nights, and adding magazines to the sitting areas. But her highest priority is to get to know each and every one of our residents and their families and create the best staff team in Delta county. We are happy to have Cathi at Crossroads.
Project Patch - North of Boise, Idaho, on the Payette river in the Boise National Forest, there is a Maranatha project called Project Patch. Project Patch is a residential center for at-risk youth, passionately committed to restoring hope to teens, building thriving families, and empowering supportive communities by operating several youth programs.
Maranatha and Project Patch have a long relationship, which began in the early 1990s. The campus is now 30 years old and has a few needs. Starting May 22, Volunteers will help with flooring renovations in the girls’ dorm, exterior painting on staff rentals, and repairs in the shop.
Project Patch is one of Marantha’s many efforts based in North America where we work with organizations in the U.S. and Canada to provide volunteer labor for various construction or renovation projects. To learn more, scan this code, go to www .maranatha.org or visit the Maranatha channel.
