OUR NEXT CHALLENGE

ONE YEAR, TWO CAPITAL CAMPAIGNS

NORTH METRO AURORA

To achieve this goal, we need your support in raising $4,750,000. We have a unique opportunity to create a legacy institution that will benefit Denver families for generations to come. With the North Metro and Aurora campuses fully built out, we can impact 39% more families than the average Denver community college by 2026. Investing in the future of education through career and community development is an investment in the future flourishing of our city.

PROGRAM IMPACT AT A GLANCE

We exist to abolish economic, relational, and spiritual poverty through career and community development. When we started working with our neighbors in northeast Denver in 2008, we knew that the problem of poverty could not be solved with fragmented or relief-based approaches. Instead, we focused on creating a model that would eliminate poverty itself, rather than simply lessening its effects. By participating in our tuition-free career and community development program, our students (called Leaders) can graduate from poverty and participate in meaningful work.

THE PROBLEM

62% unemployed pre-program

80% ethnic minorities

$244/month average wage pre-program

By 2020, CrossPurpose successfully completed a five-year goal to get 1,000 people out of poverty. We are now pursuing a new strategic plan to expand the program to four campuses and bring more people out of poverty.

Flourishing Together

The Aurora and North Metro campuses will have unique approaches to eliminating poverty, building community, and creating easy access to resources while maintaining the core CrossPurpose model.

The new buildings will feature modern technology and expanded resources that will allow us to serve our Leaders and the wider community better Our goal is to provide facilities that serve as a beacon of hope and a hub for social, cultural, and educational activitiesnear where our neighbors live and reside. We envision a facility that will include a large multipurpose room, classrooms, a computer lab, a kitchen, and office space. This new facility will catalyze positive change in our community and unlock new opportunities for learning, growth, and social interaction

With the support of our community, we are confident that we can make our vision a reality. By investing in this capital campaign, we can create a brighter future for our community and build a stronger foundation for generations to come
