IMPACT REPORT
CrossPurpose National Network
“If poverty persists in America, it is not for lack of resources.” MATTHEW DESMOND EVICTED: POVERTY AND PROFIT IN THE AMERICAN CITY
Across America there’s a neighbor-loving movement taking shape—men and women walking alongside their neighbors from generational poverty to generational prosperity. What began in 2012 on a single block in Denver with a single neighbor has grown far beyond one city. We’ve seen that the need and the opportunity for this work exists in communities everywhere across the country. In 2021, we launched the CrossPurpose National Network to come alongside leaders like you— investing in you, your teams, and your cities through shared resources, consulting, gatherings, and by pulling back the curtain on our work so you can build programs that move your own neighbors from poverty into flourishing. This report is a reflection of that shared work—what’s possible when people commit to proximity, consistency, and real care for their neighbors.

WHO IS
CROSSPURPOSE 2012 CrossPurpose began with a nextdoor neighbor, Tiffany, who envisioned a better life far from her oil-staned hands and a minimumwage job living in Section 8 housing. CrossPurpose and its flagship Leader Program was born with a desire to move neighbors out of poverty for good.

TODAY 1,700 graduates and counting What began with a handful of neighbors has grown into a recognized Denver nonprofit with a continuum of three holistic poverty-alleviation programs with four campuses and serves 2,000+ neighbors annually.
OUR
MODEL IN MOTION ELEVEN
cities across America are replicating the CrossPurpose program model in their own neighborhoods. The Network is proof that we aren’t alone in our mission and a neighbor-loving movement with a scalable, outcomes-based model is the solution to ending poverty in America.
NETWORK PARTNERS replicate key model components
that fit the cities they serve the best. While we offer a clear playbook, our replication ethos stays flexible and contextual so neighbors can be served in rural Montana to mid-sized cities like Des Moines and sprawling metros like Houston. So far, the Network has only replicated CrossPurpose’s Leader Program.

CITY HIGHLIGHTS
“Helping our neighbors in Houston achieve better careers so they can dream again.” In 2012, Dave was working full-time in the automobile industry. He left his career and started a sober-living facility in Houston. Long-term sobriety, physical healing, unified families, and renewed spirits suddenly became achievable goals and Good Works was born. In 2026, they’re projecting 75 graduates through their program. Neighborhood’s Leader program achieves a 75% success rate, with graduates maintaining living-wage employment for at least six months and increasing their monthly income by 10× over pre-program earnings. Chesapeake, VA | www.thisisneighborhood.com
“Lasting change will come from those most impacted by the problems of poverty, when their voices are heard and their gifts are made known.”
