What I can do, you cannot. What you can do, I cannot. But together, we can do something beautiful for God.
MOTHER TERESA
we sought to spark a neighbor-loving movement that walks with men and women from generational poverty to generational wealth. For us, it started in one of the poorest neighborhoods in Denver called Five Points with our actual next-door neighbors
Since then, we ’ ve not only aimed to see that spark growth in our city--but across America.
Denver isn’t the only city with thousands of people needing to escape poverty.
For you, it started in your own neighborhoods with your neighbors in Nashville, Des Moines or Houston
In 2017, after meeting like-minded and likehearted leaders and teams, we started the CrossPurpose National Network To our Network partners, we offer free resources, invite them into a support community, and help increase the credibility of start-up models in cities where career and community development is most needed.
We aren’t alone in our mission to abolish economic, relational and spiritual poverty. This Network is proof that the Church is on the move, and we need more communities willing to embark on the Jesus-like journey of expensive love and walking people out of poverty and into flourishing life

In Denver, 350,000 people live in economic poverty making $17,000/year, on average. That’s not enough. CrossPurpose’s approach addresses income as the solution to solve poverty for good.
In 2012, we started our flagship 6-month free career development program Participants, called Leaders, graduate the program with employment earning $40,000 or more and are equipped through personal development and professional skills. In 2024, CrossPurpose graduated 274 leaders across three Denver metro locations and expanded the Alumni community to over 1,200 graduates to date.

With about 100 new relationships, through a Leader’s cohort and their community allies, it only gets a Leader graduate halfway toward generational wealth. The Legacy Program offers our Alumni options for financial wealth building, homeownership and business accelerators.
To date, 55 alumni and Legacy fellows have become homeowners and 22 businesses and nonprofits have been started through the Change Agency program
In 2026, we’ll have issued more skills certifications annually than the 3 closest community colleges in Denver Our Leaders experience a +500% wage growth increase from the beginning of the program to graduation We train in 13 career tracks and have developed trusted hiring partners in our city.
By 2034, CrossPurpose will have helped generate $1 billion of wealth, cumulatively.

Our vision is to spark a neighbor-loving movement that walks with men and women across America from generational poverty to generational wealth.
The CrossPurpose National Network is a coalition of nonprofits working to abolish poverty in neighborhoods across the United States.
The Network is open to churches, existing nonprofits, or new nonprofits who want to create or expand their developmentbased poverty alleviation model. Members of the Network receive direct coaching from CrossPurpose staff, quarterly group member calls, a resource library of program materials and playbooks and more.
We invite interested and existing Network partners to attend Cultivate, an onsite learning experience
Our Network grows each year, and as it grows so do the needs As we look toward expanding the Network’s national influence and reach, we need continued support. To give toward the Network go to: www.crosspurpose.org/give.

When you’re gaining these new skills and now you have this financial literacy piece in your pocket, guess who I’m teaching that to? My daughters. So now they’re changing the way they see money. This is more than just a program, it’s life-changing.
