The Crossland Oklahoma City team is incredibly excited about the opportunity to propose on the new construction and relocation of Fire Station No. 2 – which we believe will be a fantastic addition to the community. In this proposal, you’ll find our team has the experience and expertise needed to make this project a success.

You’ll enjoy the building process The community relies on your staff, so we want to make this building process as easy as possible. We’ll anticipate and mitigate challenges and arm them with the information they need to make informed decisions throughout the entire process. We have extensive experience building fire stations, making us an excellent fit for this state-of-the-art facility.

Crossland has built more than fourty-five (45) fire stations for cities just like Stillwater. As you’ll see in the proposal, we’ve built multiple fire stations for numerous municipalities. We feel this is a true testament to our ability to deliver a high-quality public safety building and a positive experience for everyone involved. You will find that we are bringing to the table expertise in constructing your new facility and facility operations and growth management. In a fast-growing city like Stillwater, we will want to help you anticipate future needs and find ways to program that into your new and existing facilities.

Everyone will get settled into their new space as soon as possible We plan to efficiently phase the preconstruction of the new facility. We’ll take site logistics and crew loading of critical path subcontractors into account. Crossland has a proven track record of completing projects on time and in-budget.

Your budget is in good hands We understand the importance of cost certainty throughout preconstruction and construction, especially on public projects. This has become extremely challenging given the current volatility of the construction market. However, the same team proposed for your project worked on McKinney Fire Station No. 11. Our Guaranteed Maximum Price (“GMP”) approved in October 2020 was $77,747 less than our initial estimate from eight (8) months prior. That equates to a degree of accuracy within 0.94%.

Having spent five years in Stillwater, it didn’t take me long to feel the special community and culture around me. Stillwater is unlike any other place and you simply have to experience it to understand. There is a sense of pride that you don’t get anywhere else. My son was born at Stillwater Medical Center and to be able to give back to a community that has given me so much is something that you can’t put a price on.

sand springs public safety

Innovative precon allows project to overcome COVID challenges The Sand Springs Public Safety Facility is a great addition to this community, providing a municipal court, fire station, police station, emergency operation center, dispatch center and courtroom – all under one roof.

Like many projects in 2019, the CM process was running smoothly until the unexpected impacts of COVID-19 occurred. The pandemic, paired with the impletmentation of steel tariffs, soon brought the project, and it’s budget, to a challenging place. The owner and Crossland knew the original game plan would no longer be successful.

Crossland’s preconstruction team took immediate action and was able to bring the project back in budget through extensive value engineering options and a series of six bid packages.

In the end, despite health and political challenges, Crossland was able to finish the job on time and in budget.

andover fire station

Relocating services for a community with changing needs The City of Andover has continued to experience significant growth as the town has become the premier suburb of Wichita due to its outstanding schools and stunning housing inventory.

As growth continues, emergency services must too grow. The current location was congested, and getting trucks out quickly and safely was becoming increasingly challenging. To shorten wait times for the community on said emergency services, in 2018, the City of Andover proposed a bond to build a new fire station and renovate its existing facilities to suit its residents better. After running the bond twice, the community passed it - but like many in their position, the budget was now out of date and constricted.

Sure of their ability to bring this project in budget, Crossland is excited to build this project for the community of Andover.

By providing cost-saving alternatives to current supplies and processes, Crossland will deliver this project on time and in budget for Andover without compromising on esthetics and quality.

A unique approach brings project back in budget Princeton Fire Station No. 3 is a new 7,800 SF Fire Station that will provide additional resources to the growing community of Princeton.

The Fire Station includes three apparatus bays with highspeed full-glass sectional overhead doors and a vehicle exhaust system. The Living Quarters has: six dorm rooms, a kitchen with residential appliances and range hood, a laundry room, a dayroom, a locker room, a fitness room, a decon room, and an extractor and bunker gear room.

When Crossland was selected as the low bidder, the city understood that with price escalations the project needed altered to get in budget. Crossland produced a number of alternative solutions to bring down costs without compromising on the quality. One significant solution was a change of structure type; by changing to a PEMB with stone facade added on to it, the team was able to save significant costs while maintain the visual esthetic the city desired.

Our project team has experience working within Payne County when building ALDI #18, Enbridge Pipelines Offices, OSU Track and Field, OSU Equine, Stillwater WTP and WWTP, and others - so we’ve learned best practices for working with you and can now be very proactive in anticipating your needs and working with your staff. Crossland has built more than 40 Fire Stations as a company and our proposed Project Team have built multiple Fire Stations for the City of Stillwater and several others throughout the Midwest. We fully understand the unique systems (ie. Vehicle Exhaust System, Firefighter Air Replenishment System, Fire Station Call Dispatch Alerting System, etc…) and equipment (ie. Extractor, Cascade Equipment, etc. required to make these facilities functional. We are experts when it comes to building Fire Stations and have a proven track record to support this claim.
