The Internship Program taught me so much. I’m the kind of guy that learns ten times as much in the field as I do in the classroom—I have to be able to try what I’m learning myself, not just hear someone else talk about it. It was great when I began to connect what I had learned in class to what was going on in the field—that made it all worthwhile.

It’s hard for me to choose just one favorite piece of advice. If I had to summarize, it would start with working hard. If you work hard, you will get noticed. Being teachable is an important part of success – don’t be afraid to ask questions. Be trustworthy and you will be given greater responsibility, which will result in leadership opportunities.
