WHY
VOLUME BUILDING? With a volume-building program, your project manager streamlines communication, coordinates the schedule, and allocates resources to accommodate the changing conditions that inevitably come up during concurrent projects. Project managers are also experts in working with owner-supplied materials and subcontractors. We use volume building guides to help us make sure that your building program gets executed as intended. The entire project team has access to the document, which includes: • program standards • specific business needs and objectives • development process • preferred consultants and suppliers • project specifications • expectations

ALDI’S EXPERIENCE

Aldi is a repeat client of Crossland’s. They continue to be pleased with our processes and quality. Given the number of Aldi stores we’ve built, we created a tailored program for construction that includes best practices and production schedules, ensuring on-time project completion every time. Aldi gives its builders five months to complete a build, and we know what it takes to construct these stores efficiently. In the past five years, Crossland has remodeled over 30 Aldi stores and built over 20 new stores with countless additional small projects for Aldi on our resume.

How our capabilities add value to Aldi’s projects. We’re known for a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground approach, and we take pride in not only managing projects but also putting work in place. Our self-perform capabilities keep us competitive and allow us to deliver quality projects, on time, and in budget. Utilizing selfperform teams is not right for every project, however our knowledge and field experience undoubtedly adds value.
1 SAVES TIME AND MONEY
Having accurate costs up-front in the building process is vital to keeping your project in budget. Our field experience, combined with our long history of designbid-build work, keeps us competitive and guarantees the best building for your construction dollar. Our trade-specific experience also allows for accurate, efficient, and dependable schedules. If a subcontractor falls behind or falls through, we can supplement with our crews, always keeping your schedule on track.
2 SET QUALITY and safety STANDARDS There are a lot of moving parts on a construction site. Having a builder who knows how to put the work in place goes a long way. We will make sure that everyone who steps foot on your project meets our quality and safety standards. Easily put, we know how to do it ourselves, and we know how to do it right - we will settle for nothing less.
3 OVERCOME CHALLENGES
We work with design firms upfront to help identify and avoid potential obstacles before construction even begins. However, undoubtedly there will be hurdles. Having a builder’s perspective when those challenges arise is important. Our team is known for making the impossible, possible. If there is a challenge - rest assured - we will tackle it!

National relationships bring a plethora of subs that specialize in your project. At the start of your project bid phase, Crossland will advertise your project with a number of advertising options such as Building Connected, SF, and others. Along with the standard advertising platforms, Crossland uses direct phone calls and our subcontractor and vendor relationships with a personal touch to get the word out. Crossland’s goal is not to simply collect bids and total them up, our goal is to find the right value for each specific project using our own estimating software, past bid experience and the feedback received from subcontractors and vendors. Beyond advertising, we make it a point to learn about the local subcontractors by meeting with them face-to-face to learn about their companies, capabilities, and interest in the project.
More subcontractors mean more bids which bring more value. Subcontractors near or far are invaluable to a successful project. When you choose Crossland, you choose a firm with connections across the country. That means that no matter where your project is, we have connections nearby to assist in building your project without compromising value. We manage all consruction processes as well as materials prior to breaking ground to ensure your timeline is met without altering your budget. All subcontractors must be pre-approved through our subcontractor qualification process, which evaluates their size, capabilities, and financial status. This practice, along with pre-bid meetings and well-developed bid packages, educates the vendors of the intended scope of work so they may bid accordingly.
