多年來，展能藝術會一直本著「藝術同參與．傷健共展能」的理念，致力促進社會平等共融，

讓殘疾人士有機會參與藝術活動，發揮潛能。 《藝無疆》是展能藝術會的長期發展項目之一， 由二零零九年開始每年舉行，並設定視覺藝術和表演藝術兩個主題，隔年交替，至今已協助

數以千計的展能藝術家走上創作之路。民政事務局十分樂意透過「藝能發展資助計劃」支持 展能藝術會舉辦這項別具意義的活動。

前言

I would like to congratulate the Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong

約十年前， 「於香港打造一個發掘展能藝術家的平台」僅是本會策略發展的一個構想。自2009年

(ADAHK) on presenting ‘Cross All Borders 2020: Dare to Be!’.

Over the years, ADAHK, with the vision of ‘Arts are for Everyone’, has been committed to promoting social equality and inclusion so that people with disabilities have the opportunities to take part in the arts and realise their potential. ‘Cross All Borders’ is one of ADAHK’s ongoing projects and it has been held annually since 2009, with visual arts and performing arts as the two themes alternating every other year. The project has already helped thousands of disabled artists embark on their journeys of creation. The Home Affairs Bureau is pleased to support ADAHK in organising this meaningful event through the Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme.

Now in its eleventh year ‘Cross All Borders’ is taking on a new dimension and appearing in a festival context. Apart from encompassing both the performing arts and visual arts elements at one go for the first time, ‘Cross All Borders 2020’ will intensify its efforts in offering comprehensive training for disabled artists and assist them in achieving breakthroughs from unique perspectives, thereby enhancing their artistic skills. The project will thus send a fresh breeze to the local arts scene. At the

Foreword About ten years ago, ‘building a platform for discovering talented artists with disabilities in Hong Kong’ was only an idea of the strategic development of the Association. Since 2009, ‘Cross All Borders’ has not only become one of the flagship activities of the Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong (ADAHK), but it has also brought together more than 4,000 artists with disabilities, and witnessed many of them strive for professionalism and excellence as their skills have matured.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the ‘Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme’ of the HKSAR Government for sponsoring the ‘Cross All Borders 2020: Dare to Be!’. This has enabled the pioneering form of a mini

While ‘Cross All Borders’ aims to uncover new faces and provide a professional platform for local artists with disabilities to showcase their talents, this year, we have put special emphasis on the process of nurturing artists in order to further encourage their self-exploration in and communication with the audience through the arts. Keeping close to the original intention of ‘Cross All Borders’, we hope that our friends, both old and new, can surpass all boundaries through the arts, pursue their ideals, and create with courage and diligence.

2020 is a very challenging year. This has spurred us on to innovate using a broader perspective, creating forward-looking attempts and new ideas, to promote the development of the ‘Dare to Be!’ spirit of arts with the disabled.

‘Cross All Borders’ (CAB) is one of the signature programmes of Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong. Since 2009, this thematic arts festival is held every year alternating between performing arts and visual arts. It aims to uncover the great talent of budding artists with disabilities, and create a professional platform to showcase their artworks. In the past decade, CAB has reached more than 4,500 fresh creative talents, and has provided resources and artistic support in order to facilitate them in excelling in arts.

CAB has successfully nurtured a group of brilliant artists, actively demonstrating and promoting the potential of their works to the arts field and the general public, and has additionally established a world-wide collaborative network. It has become an annual event in the Arts with the Disabled that has proven to be prosperous.

In 2012, CAB was awarded the Arts Promotion (Group / Organisation Category) Bronze Award by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council to recognise its achievement in advocating for an inclusive society through the arts.

萬花筒，音樂、舞蹈、戲劇等節目百花齊放，綻放出藝術的千姿百態。而另一個演出《想敢試！》 則首次以實驗劇場的形式展示了三個當代劇場作品。三組藝術家運用不同的表演元素連繫日常 生活與創作，活用自己獨有的「藝術語匯」帶觀眾經歷他們的個人故事。

想敢試! Dare to Explore!

Message from Artistic Director In recent years, the creations of artists with disabilities in Hong Kong have become steadily more active and diverse. Every time an artwork is appreciated it is like having a conversation with the spirit of the artist, rather than simply being a one-sided reception of a ‘lesson’ or ‘message’ that is expressed by the artist on a stage. Being in the midst of a personal experience and meaning that is far beyond the artwork itself, this enables one to experience the melding together of art and life in a way that is both natural and casual.

‘Cross All Borders’ has been serving as a hub of local arts with the disabled since 2009, bringing together a group of artists with great potential and becoming their first step from which they launch their artistic careers. Having witnessed the mutual growth of ‘Cross All Borders’ and the artists for a decade, we have also been thinking of how to base this programme on showcasing talent, while also considering how to bring about further reflections and inspiration to local artists and the audience.

Therefore, this year’s ‘Cross All Borders’ has for the first time attempted a type of small-scale arts festival. Beyond this, we have especially planned a programme of two performance events with entirely different styles and formats – ‘Dare to Perform!’ and ‘Dare to Explore!’. These aim to bring even more possibilities into the works and performances of artists, encouraging an even more unrestrained perspective in an examination of their own work.

‘Dare to Perform!’ is a gala assembly of rich and diverse performance media. Here, seven groups of artists lead the audience through a kaleidoscope of art; including music, dance, drama and others. In this, all of these different styles and forms of art, in all their variations, are given free and full expression. Alongside this, ‘Dare to Explore!’ is a performance that will showcase three contemporary works of theatre in the form of experimental theatre. Three groups of artists will utilise different performance elements to connect daily life with their productions. Making creative use of their own unique ‘artistic vocabulary,’ they will carry the audience through experiencing their personal stories.

During the period of 2019 until 2020, together we have experienced a tumultuous and complicated time. However, we have also seen newcomers and old artist friends who have not lost their artistic aspirations. They have strived to embrace life, exploring all possibilities within themselves. They have personally participated in, and recorded this period in time, and accomplished something with every work of art that has come into being.

It is my hope that one day, ‘Cross All Borders’ can be regarded as a kind of artistic approach that encourages you and I to continue having exchanges both inside and outside of the theatre.

趙惠芝 趙惠芝從小鍾情於繪畫，畢業於香港理工大學 設計學文憑課程，2015年前往倫敦斯萊德藝術 學院修讀繪畫課程。她的平面作品多為塑膠彩 及水彩畫，畫風不拘一格，樣式輕快多變且色彩 鮮明，其畫作《夢境與現實》曾於《藝無疆2016》 獲得「優異獎」 。她於2010年開始接觸沙畫，現為 全職沙畫師及藝術導師。

劉理盈 劉理盈熱愛舞蹈，四歲開始學習芭蕾舞，已考獲 皇家專業芭蕾舞(Intermediate)證書課程，同時 積極嘗試現代舞、爵士舞和中國舞。曾於2009年 及2 0 1 5 年的《藝無疆》中分別奪得隊伍特別獎 （唐氏舞蹈團）及隊伍特別獎（香港西區扶輪社 匡智晨輝學校－映‧舞團） 。於2014年及2016年 代表香港到訪韓國及法國演出及交流。2019年 獲 得 城 市 當 代 舞 蹈 團 頒 發 之「 城 市 當 代 舞 蹈 達人」獎。

李昇 李昇專注於古典音樂演奏，以古典音樂家貝多芬

為學習對象，希望透過自身經歷勉勵他人珍惜所 擁有的人生，以音樂影響生命。曾於《藝無疆2011》 連奪「最傑出藝術表現獎」及「個人特別獎」 。其後 獲得「展能藝術發展基金」資助，先後到奧地利 薩 爾茨堡及維也納學習及交流。近年分別得到 著名鋼琴家羅乃新及金美雪的指導，更獲邀前往 美國紐約卡內基大廳演出。

戎景豪 戎景豪為本地樂隊O m e g a 之主音及結他手， 喜 愛 以 結 他 自 彈 自 唱，透 過 歌 曲 創 作 抒 懷。 曾憑着其原創歌曲《人質事件的後感 —— 加油站》 於《藝無疆2011》獲得「個人特別獎」 。近年分別 跟隨不同專業導師學習和鑽研歌唱技巧、吉他 演奏及 歌 曲 創 作 等，致 力 全 方 位 發 展 其 音 樂 才華。曾合作之音樂單位包括：樂隊Nowhere Boys、無伴奏合唱組合Set Tone Men、林一峰等。

Jessica Chiu Chiu Wai-chi has been passionate in painting since young. She attained the Diploma in Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and further pursued studies in Drawing at the Slade School of Fine Art of University College London in 2015. Her paintings mainly work in mediums of acrylics and watercolours. Her painting style is eclectic that varies from time to time and with bright bold colours.

Her painting ‘Dream and Reality’ won the ‘Merit Prize’ in ‘Cross All Borders 2016’. She has started her exploration in sand painting since 2010 and now works as a full-time sand artist and an art tutor.

Christine Lau Christine Lau is passionate about dancing.

She started learning ballet at the age of 4 and attained Royal Academy of Dance Vocational Graded Examinations – Intermediate Foundation (Ballet) in 2012.

She is open to trying various forms of dance, including Contemporary Dance, Jazz and Chinese Dance. Participating in ‘Cross All Borders’ in 2009 and 2015, Christine won the ‘Most Outstanding Group Award’ (Down’s Dancing Group) and the ‘Most Outstanding Group Award’ (Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island West Hong Chi Morninghope School – ‘Shine Dancing Group’) respectively. In 2014 and 2016, she represented Hong Kong to visit Korea and France respectively for performance and cultural exchange. In 2019, she won the ‘City Contemporary Dance Laureate’ award from City Contemporary Dance Company.

Lee Shing Lee Shing specializes in classical music performance and he sees Beethoven, the classical musician as his role model. He hopes that his experience can encourage people to foster proper values towards life. In ‘Cross All Borders 2011’, he consecutively won the ‘Most Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award’ and the ‘Most Outstanding Performer Award’. Lee Shing was sponsored by the ‘Artists with Disability Development Fund’ to further study in music through musical exchange in Salzburg and Vienna. In recent years, he has studied piano under the mentorship of renowned pianists, Ms. Nancy Loo and Ms. Michelle Kim. He was also been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Wilson Yung Wilson Yung is the vocalist and guitarist of local band ‘Omega’. With great passion in guitar playing and singing, he is also keen on expressing his feelings through compositions of songs. In ‘Cross All Borders 2011’, he won the ‘Most Outstanding Performer Award’ by his original work ‘Gas Station, in Memory of the Manila Hostage Tragedy’. Wilson has been guided by different music professionals to enhance his vocal skills, guitar performance and musical composition. He has also participated in various performances with different musicians and music groups, including the band Nowhere Boys, the a cappella group Set Tone Men and Chet Lam.

聯合編劇: 香港聾人福利促進會手與歌家族、陳美莉 小組由聽障及健聽人士組成，以手語歌詞演譯、形體舞蹈編排等創作，表演不同類型的手語歌， 並藉由積極參與公眾活動推廣傷健共融精神。成員之間充滿默契，期望是次演出能引動小組 更高的凝聚力，日後敢於有更多新嘗試。 Director: Emily Chan Co-playwrights: The Hong Kong Society for the Deaf Sign Language Song Group, Emily Chan The Hong Kong Society for the Deaf Sign Language Song Group The group is composed of both hearing impaired and hearing members. With the aim of promoting integration between persons with and without disabilities, the group interprets songs in sign language and dance as a performance and actively gives performances in various public activities. The group members have great chemistry with each other.

They hope this performance will spur the group to have a higher cohesion and dare to have more new attempts in the future.

舞 團 由 一 群 來 自 展 亮 技 能 發 展 中 心（屯 門）的 Formed in 2019, the dance team is composed 師生於2019年組成，旨在把共融舞蹈帶進學校和 of a group of teachers and students from 社區，讓不同能力人士有更多機會發揮所長，同時 the Shine Skills Centre (Tuen Mun), using the form of Dance Ability. F e r m a t a B a n d 由 十 二 位 天 保 民 學 校 的 Fermata Band is composed of a group of 輕 度 智 障 學 生 和 校 友 組 成。 「 F e r m a t a 」 12 students with mild intellectual disability 在 音 樂 上 意 指 延 音，顧 名 思 義，成 立 樂 團 的 and alumni of Mary Rose School. ‘Fermata’ in music means extended sound.
