NORTH AMERICANS IN SPAIN

FINDINGS

73,196 North Americans are recorded on the Spanish census in 2023.

The North American population in Spain increased by 6% in 2022 and 11% in 2023.

About 75% live in the provinces of Madrid, Cataluña, Andalusia, Valencia, and Galicia.

Of these provinces, the North American population has grown the most in Valencia over the last two years, followed by Andalusia and Cataluña.

Growth of this population accelerated in 2023 compared to 2022 in nearly all cities recorded with more than 500 North Americans.

The top five most popular cities for North Americans are Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, and Málaga.

Of these, Málaga and Valencia in particular are experiencing significant growth , by 35-40% in total over the last two years.
