CROFT has designed a new student services area, a One-Stop-Shop, to serve the current student needs and the future potential student inquiries. This 10,000 SF of newly renovated space within GGC’s Building D will be a great first impression of GGC to future students and the efficient customer service help-desk for existing students. In addition, this renovation enhances the ability of GGC’s Enrollment Management Services to assist existing students and potential students with admissions, financial aid, student accounts, and recruitment. The new space has been designed for a more inviting and open environment with flexibility to handle fluctuations in student volume in an organized fashion. Great emphasis was placed into providing an enhanced presentation room and digital wall to aid in the communication and display of the University’s message, benefits and offerings. For this complex renovation, the CROFT team performed extensive site investigations and data gathering to document the existing conditions of the building space and systems in order to design a cost effective solution encompassing the GGC’s project goals. Project is being completed in a two phased approach with financial services being completed first. In addition to the interior renovation, there is an exterior walkway renovation that wraps around the building allowing students to access the existing testing center from the One-stop area. This was completed as an additional phase by a second contractor that was built concurrent to phase 2.
