Advantages Smart Clot has different innovative skills: √ Unique structured device for diagnosis and pharmacological monitoring of thrombotic, ischemic and hemorragic pathology, √ Peculiar mechanisms that allow to reproduce flow-dynamic conditions of blood circulation and cyto-adhesive extracellular substances, √ Smart Clot monitors haemostasis as a whole dynamic process instead of isolated conventional end point coagulation screens, √ Smart Clot tests the behaviour of platelet/fibrin thrombus formation at different shear rates, √ Smart Clot uses whole blood without the addition of platelet agonists, √ Smart Clot reduces operators biohazard, √ Smart Clot allows the most rapid, complete and automatized screening of platelets function.

Development Stage 16 December 2005 – CRO Aviano with 4 local entrepreneurs won the 3rd place of the National Award of Innovation. The business idea has been awarded in business plan competitions (START CUP). 2006 – The 4 local entrepreneurs found Sedicidodici S.r.l., a spin-off company. 2007 – Sedicidodici S.r.l. and CRO Aviano signed an agreement to cooperate in the Smart Clot project.
