e-HEALTH DOMOTIC APPS Technology Overview CRO Aviano is actively engaged in developing e-Health solutions including integrated systems with domotic features. Ongoing initiatives are addressed to patients with problems of orientation / difficulties in complex confined environments, where help is key to face paths and possible obstacles. Home automation technologies allow people autonomous interaction with the environments of hospitals and diagnosis centres.
Furthermore, tailored applications enhance a process by which health professionals impart information to patients that will alter health behaviors or improve their health status (interactive Patient Education technology).

Development Stage EASYMOB project (EFRD/ROP funded, 2010-13) aims at designing an infrared digital transmitter and receiver, at studying solutions for the use of cellular phones as means of orientation, localization, distribution of contents, as well as at defining smart light paths. Subsequent phase aims at developing prototypes of the infrared transmission / reception systems and a central software for managing the peripheral devices, at integrating the solutions in the light paths, as well as at developing a prototype of touch-screen totem and the embedded software for mobile devices.
