The Cristo Rey Philadelphia Scholarship Program… … is a partnership between students and benefactors, each doing their part to ensure student success.

Students will… > Participate diligently in the Work-Study Program to fund the majority of their education. > Study hard to ensure academic success. > Send a letter each year to the benefactor with information about classes, work, interests, hopes, and dreams. > Invite the benefactor to Cristo Rey Philadelphia’s annual Scholarship Partner event. > Pray for the benefactor’s family in his or her own tradition. > Invite the benefactor to a very important and joyful milestone: graduation.

> Pledge $20,000 payable over four years to partner with one Cristo Rey Philadelphia student from freshman year through graduation. > Or, provide $5,000 for a one-year student scholarship.

income of a Cristo Rey Philadelphia student is $30,000. > Cristo Rey Philadelphia uses a

rigorous academic curriculum, supported by a total engagement teaching model, to prepare students for success in college.

> The innovative Work-Study

Program provides students with professional work experience. > Students work five days a month

to fund the majority of the cost of their education. Jobs build self-confidence and improve performance in the classroom. > Students work at law firms,

banks, hospitals, universities, insurance companies, and in other professional settings. > 100 percent of Cristo Rey

Philadelphia graduates are accepted to four-year colleges.

Cristo Rey graduates persist in college at double the rate of their low-income peers.
