Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Chapel of the Sacred Heart Stations of the Cross Central to the Catholic faith is the Way of the Cross or the Stations of the Cross, a way to pray and meditate on Christ’s sacrifice for us. The fourteen stations commemorate Jesus’ last day on Earth as a man. During the Chapel of the Sacred Heart renovation in 2011, Cristo Rey commissioned handcrafted Stations of the Cross by local artisans at Daprato Rigali. The underwriting of the stations by generous benefactors will help us raise $140,000 to support the maintenance of our chapel and school facility. Each station is $10,000 and there are still opportunities to contribute to this special campaign. Available stations listed in bold: One: Jesus is condemned to Death (In loving memory of Marcia and Gene Cowlin)
