Resumen

Esta propuesta de investigación tiene como objetivo reconocer la importancia de la caracterización institucional como herramienta pedagógica de entrada a los procesos educativos, siendo la caracterización del colegio Enrique Olaya Herrera un ejemplo de dicho propósito. El objetivo es encontrar las diversas problemáticas, estructurales, pedagógicas y demás que se presentan en esta instituciòn y que afectan a los estudiantes de la localidad de Rafael Uribe Uribe, además que los docentes también se ven afectados por la falta de recursos tangibles e intangibles que permitan ejecutar de manera satisfactoria su quehacer de aula. Se propone, desde una perspectiva pedagógica de las ciencias sociales, analizar aquellos elementos que no permiten, tanto al cuerpo docente como a los estudiante, lograr unas prácticas de aula acordes con las necesidades educativas de la población, apuntando a una educaciòn crítica y humanista que permita reconocer y vivenciar su entorno.

EXPLORING EDUCATIONAL POTENTIAL: AN IN-DEPTH LOOK AT CHARACTERIZATION AT THE ENRIQUE OLAYA HERRERA SCHOOL.

ABSTRACT

This research proposal aims to recognize the importance of institutional characterization as a pedagogical tool for educational processes, being the characterization of the Enrique Olaya Herrera school an example of this purpose. The objective is to find the different problems, structural, pedagogical and others that are presented in this institution and that affect the students of the locality of Rafael Uribe Uribe, besides that the teachers are also affected by the lack of tangible and intangible resources that allow to execute in a satisfactory way their classroom work.

It is proposed, from a pedagogical perspective of the social sciences, to analyze those elements that do not allow both teachers and students to achieve classroom practices in accordance with the educational needs of the population, aiming at a critical and humanistic education that allows them to recognize and experience their environment.
