JPD continue to investigate Domestic Assault case Jackson Police are continuing to investigate a Domestic Assault case involving a male being tased. Around 12:00 p.m. August 2nd, officer of the Jackson Police Department responded to a call concerning a domestic assault.Ê The on-scene officers put out a BOLO because the suspect had left prior to officers arrival.Ê The suspect was observed driving in the area of the by-pass.Ê Officers of the Jackson Police Department conducted a traffic stop and attempted to take the suspect into custody without incident. However, the suspect refused to follow the orders of the officers to get on the ground.Ê The suspect advised he was not going back to jail and that he would rather die.Ê The suspect also threatened to walk into oncoming traffic.Ê To prevent serious injury to the suspect, an officer deployed his Taser.Ê The effects of the Taser allowed the officer opportunity to apprehend the suspect without causing serious bodily injury. The subject was transported to the Criminal Justice Complex after he was treated at a local hospital.

Criminal Justice Complex August 2, 2018ÊÊWBBJ 7 Eyewitness News Staff JACKSON, Tenn. — One courtroom in Jackson didn’t hand out sentences Thursday, but celebrated with inmates. Judge Don Allen celebrated the ninth class to graduate from the Celebrate Recovery program at the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex. The women started the class in May and each week learned a new lesson to help with issues ranging from anger and depression to drug addiction and alcoholism. One graduate from the program says she works one day at a time to stay clean. “I feel like I accomplished something that I wanted to, and I feel like I’ve had support through this whole thing, and I couldn’t ask for anything better. I feel brand new today,”ÊTonya Mason said. This is the third year for the program. The men will have their graduation ceremony Friday.

TBI SPECIAL AGENTS ARREST KENTUCKY FUGITIVE IN BEDFORD COUNTY NASHVILLE – An investigation by Special Agents with the Technical Services Unit of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, with the assistance of the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office and federal law enforcement officers, has resulted in the arrest of a Bell Buckle man. On July 25th, Agents were notified that a fugitive being sought by the Kentucky Office of the Attorney General was known to be in the Bedford County area. Bradley Richmond had been identified as the subject of an online undercover child pornography case, and had multiple warrants out of Kentucky after being indicted on 15 counts related to child pornography. On Thursday, Bradley James Richmond (DOB 09/29/1994) was arrested and charged with Fugitive from Justice, stemming from the active warrants out of Kentucky. He was booked into the Bedford County Jail, and is expected to be extradited to Kentucky
