Safety personnel used the day to disinfect buildings and classrooms throughout the system. “We used the snow day we had last Friday to go through and do a deep cleaning at every school in the district,” said James ‘Pete’ Johnson. “It is important that parents, students, and teachers know that we in the Jackson Madison County School System are doing everything within our power to insure that they are entering a safe environment.” Johnson says he and other board members are working closely with Superintendent Marlon King and school administrators to make sure every school within the system has the PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) supplies they need to keep teachers and students as safe as possible while in the classroom.
