HOSTED BY
DCAC is the only agency of its kind in Dallas County, working in agreement with public and private agencies to investigate, prosecute, and provide healing services for child abuse cases in Dallas County.
We reduce the re-victimization of the child, remove barriers to investigation and treatment, and enhance criminal prosecution with our distinctive multidisciplinary and united approach to these complex and severe cases.
WHO WE ARE
Thirty-eight years ago, the Crimes Against Children Conference started with just 50 attendees! That year, two speakers – Brian Killacky, who was a detective with the Chicago Police Department, and Ken Lanning, who was a Supervisory Special Agent with the FBI – provided training to this small group of law enforcement professionals.
Since 1988, CACC has become the largest conference of its kind providing practical and best practice instruction to those fighting crimes against children and helping children heal. There were more than 4,700 professionals from around the world in attendance in 2025!
Our outstanding conference faculty provides an unmatched variety of workshops and case studies that address the most important issues faced in this line of work. CACC has established a reputation among professionals for high-quality training and great networking opportunities.

Any extension beyond these dates will require you to contact the hotel directly to add the extra room nights. The conference cannot guarantee the conference rate will be offered for additional nights you may wish to add to your reservation.

Please be sure you understand the cancellation policy for each hotel. You can be charged for one night’s stay if you do not cancel your reservation thirty (30) days prior to your arrival date.

We understand your eagerness to make the most of your time and attend as many sessions as possible. Don’t worry about missing out because most workshops are repeated or readily available on demand. Trust us, this works better than having 4,500+ people going to eat at the same time!

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
The dress code is casual for our event. Inside the Sheraton, it can get pretty chilly. Despite the blazing 100-degree temperatures outside, it's wise to pack some extra layers. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes because you'll be doing quite a bit of walking to and from workshops.
CAN I BRING MY CHILD?
Minors are prohibited from attending the conference. Under no circumstances are infants, toddlers, or school-aged children allowed to be in workshops. Children are not allowed to be left unattended in any area of the hotel or conference center. Please have child care arranged if your children are traveling with you.
WHAT ABOUT MY PET?
With respect to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), no animals are allowed on the premises unless they are recognized service animals as defined by the ADA.

Breakfast is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Dinner will be provided at the Wednesday night Conference Celebration from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM. All other meals are on your own. Please note: The conference is unable to accommodate individual dietary restrictions. We encourage attendees to plan accordingly.

I CAN'T FIND ANY OF THE CLASSROOMS!

DINING OPTIONS
AT CACC THERE IS NO DEDICATED LUNCH HOUR.
You're free to take your lunch break whenever it works best for you. Keep in mind that choosing to eat during the day may mean missing a workshop. That said, most sessions are either repeated or available on demand, so you won't miss out.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY CERTIFICATE?
Certificates will be accessible through the Conference app and eventScribe site immediately post-conference. The final conference certificate will list all sessions and credit hours received from successfully completed session evaluations. Please see important details below to ensure you receive your final conference certificate reflecting your participation at the conference and correct number of credit hours.
HOW DO QR CODES WORK?
At the beginning and end of each 75-minute block of instruction, you will receive a unique QR code from the presenter.
1. Log into the CACC Mobile App.
2. Select the session from the schedule.
3. Tap Check In and scan the QR Code displayed during the speaker's presentation.
USING QR CODES
• You need the unique QR code to unlock the evaluation for each presentation.
• Be sure to scan the QR code provided by the speaker in each session. This will be your only opportunity to scan the code.
TWO-PART PRESENTATIONS
• Two-part presentations will have a unique code for Part 1 and a unique code for Part 2.
• To receive the full 150 minutes of credit for a two-part presentation, you must attend both sessions and complete two evaluations (one for each part).
• If you complete only one evaluation, you will receive credit for just that 75-minute block.
• This enables you to get credit for only one part of a two-part presentation in the event you do not wish to attend both sessions.
REPEATED SESSIONS
Every 75-minute block of instruction has a unique QR code. Therefore, repeated sessions will have a different QR code from other presentations under the same title.
ACCOUNT REQUIREMENTS
• You must be logged into YOUR account to complete evaluations.
• App and website accounts cannot be shared.
• If you are substituting for a previously registered attendee, confirm that your account is set up correctly with your information before submitting evaluations.
All continuing education credit is self-reported. The conference does NOT submit continuing education credits on behalf of any attendee.

TCOLE
