My name is Liat Miss Bella. I’m 40 years old, a mother to Nina and Didi, and happily married to my dear husband. I’ve been a Cricut ambassador for the past two and a half years, enjoying every moment! I come from a scrapbooking background and love to create and experiment with different materials, crafting a wide variety of projects. Crafting is soul therapy for me, and I mainly craft as part of my healing process. Cricut machines are the fulfillment of my creative dream, with endless possibilities for what can be made!
What you need
Materials To Cut
Basswood
Vinyl - Pink, Gray, Orange, Black, White
Everything Else
Cricut Maker/Maker 3
Strong grip mat
Knife Blade
Transfer Tape
Start making!
Preparation
If you want to alter the project, select Customize, then use the tools in the Edit panel to make changes before you cut.
Cut
Once you love the project and want to cut it, choose “Make It.” Select “On Mat” and approve.
A new screen will open with a preview of the mats. Follow the requirements and instructions in Design Space.
For cutting Basswood, the software will ask you to switch to the Knife Blade.
Place the wood board on a purple Strong Grip mat and secure it with masking tape to prevent the material from moving during cutting.
When finished, switch back to the Fine Point Blade to cut the vinyl.
Assemble
After cutting and before assembling the vinyl layers, weed out unnecessary parts using the Weeding tool.
Use Transfer Tape to place the cuts in order.
