This series grows from the territory of memory, from those moments that remain quietly near to us long after they have passed. In Persian there is a word, ‘Ohnse’ that speaks of an intimate familiarity, a closeness of feeling that lives within us.
These paintings return to that space; where memory holds what has been lost and found again through time.
The figure paintings emerged from the idea of my twin daughters, their closeness and their individuality. They reflect a shared presence yet remain distinct, exploring sisterhood, the evolving energy of femininity, and the quiet strength of female identity within the world.
